Severus opened the envelope to be greeted with a wedding invitation, "Finally the boy decides to marry, Again! God bless the girl." Severus kept the invite on the desk and opened the letter.

Dearest Severus,

I promise you this is final, Draco has decided to settle down again and we didn't give him enough time to break this one. We will be more than happy if Celestia and you could join us on the 31st of December at the Malfoy Manor. A small ceremony will be held. Only close friends and family are invited. I know you must be wondering the last time what happened with Celestia, please have faith in me it will not happen again. Meet me in Twilfitt and Tatting's at 5 in the evening I really need your help.

Severus crumpled the letter and tossed it in the bin, but the letter flew from the bin back to his table and without any wrinkles, "Damn it Narcissa!" he kept the letter inside the desk drawer and bundled up the other letters on the desk which he had received he was about to leave when Minerva walked inside the classroom, "Severus, I have been meaning to talk to you about something." Severus looked up, "Please do headmistress." Minerva frowned, "How many times do I have to tell you we are colleagues please call me Minerva!" Severus sighed.

"Anyway I am here to talk about Celestia and you. I'm here on Dorothy's request, There are a few things I wanted, well she wants to know about your current relationship with her granddaughter." Severus rolled his eyes. "Can this wait until after the holidays, I just came here to collect my letters." Minerva looked towards him, "I think you can spare 5 minutes of your time over this." Severus sighed then nodded.

"First of it is important for me to know if you do have feelings for her, the thing that happened with Victoria is making Dorothy dubious about your relationship with Celestia." Severus flipped through the letters, "What happened with Victoria was different. I never shared those feelings but for Celestia my feelings are real." Minerva went to ask him something but he stopped her, "I exactly know what you are thinking, our age difference, me being a previous deatheater, but Celestia knows it and she still chooses to be with me. And where her past is concerned I will never hold it against her. She may have been a different person in the past but so was I and it doesn't matter. Our relationship is quite fragile at the moment, I have never seen anyone as confused as her, she said she wont continue the relationship if her grandmother doesn't approve of it. But at the same time she tells me a different story. Sometimes I wonder if we really are in a relationship. All the same I still love her for what she is even when she is confused..."

Minerva's head snapped towards him, "You love her??" Severus suddenly realised what he had just said, "Not a word from you regarding this, you will not tell this to anyone Minerva. I mean it, no one!" Minerva shook her head in understanding. Severus Snape the dungeon bat had fallen in love again. Minerva was a little in shock but not as much as Severus. He looked towards her, "There is nothing more you need to know, see you after the holidays. And once again not a single word should go out of our conversation." Severus grabbed his coat from the desk and his letters then walked out of the classroom. He took long strides towards the gate.

"Oh my, he loves her!" Minerva turned towards the door to see the entire teaching faculty gathered around the door. "You heard him not a word should slip out of any of you!! And what are you even doing here? All of you together! Since when do the Hogwarts staff travel in packs?" Flitwick looked towards Minerva and opened his mouth to reply but Minerva stopped him. "No! No need to answer it Filius, ofcourse I know how you do it, I was a part of it and still am. But please be careful this conversation remains in this room itself! Now get back to whatever you were doing! All of you clear out!"

Severus apparated to Diagon Alley and walked towards Twilfitt and Tattings. He rushed inside as it was snowing heavily. He walked in to see Narcissa looking around the dress robes, she turned to look at Severus, "Oh I am glad you made it you look annoyed, then again when do you not! But that could also mean my little letter trick worked didn't it??" Narcissa said as she laughed. Severus' expression didn't change. "If you are done then shall we leave, I think I'm going to need some firewhiskey today." Narcissa looked at him wide eyed, "Seems like a serious problem. I am done I just need to pay for them and then we can be off." after paying for the dresses Narcissa and Severus apparated to the Malfoy Manor. The Malfoy Manor was bustling with house elves dancing around the floor, cleaning and shinning the house. "Lets hope this time Draco is serious." Narcissa and Severus walked towards the study. "Have a seat Severus and tell me now what seems to bother you?" Severus looked towards Narcissa, "Can I get that drink first?" Narcissa poured him a glass of firewhiskey and sat opposite to Severus. Severus vanished the liquid in one go. "I think, I think I love her."

"Who? Serena?" Severus looked at her, "No, Celestia!"

"Oh I knew that, I saw the way you look at her. The same way you looked at that muggleborn!"

"Lily Evans. And I am not sure I love Celestia, I think I do. I just blurted it out in front of Minerva of all the people!" Narcissa raised an eyebrow, "Oh Severus you really have a history of losing people you love, first you lost that girl. Now just make sure you don't lose this one and if you have told Minerva it wont take much time for it to reach Celestia. She should hear it from you and no one else." Severus sat there for a while then got up and excused himself. He decided that he would meet Celestia tomorrow and tell her everything.

He apparated on the curb of his street then made his way towards his house. When he reached the entrance he saw Celestia was sitting at the foot of the door. "What are you doing here, its freezing!!" Severus helped her up and opened the door. They walked in, Severus hung both their coats he dropped the letters on the tea table and took out his wand with a flick the fire started in the chimney corner. "Where were you I was waiting for you since a long time." Severus walked towards the kitchen, he put a kettle on the stove. "I had gone to visit Narcissa, you still didn't tell me what you are doing here?" Celestia walked into the kitchen and put the wedding invite in front of Severus, "My best friend is getting married, to that spoiled brat Draco Malfoy. She broke our friendship over that guy she fought with me because of him and I wished to see my boyfriend, anything else?" Severus looked her way.

"Is that so Miss Hamilton?" she smiled, "Oh yes but I couldn't meet him so I came to see you." she tried her best not to laugh and stood leaning on the kitchen counter.

"That better be a joke." Severus walked towards her but Celestia quickly walked past him. "Maybe or maybe it isn't." she laughed then walked towards the sitting area. "I, wanted to tell you something Celestia."

"Well can it wait? I wanted to talk about Draco and Camo first its been killing me since I received the invite." Severus held out a cup of tea towards her and sat down next to her on the sofa, "Ofcourse."

Celestia sighed and placed the tea cup on the table in front of her. "First of all this isn't a conversation we can have over tea I need something strong!" Severus took out his wand and accioed a bottle of firewhiskey. Celestia poured herself a drink. After a few more drinks Celestia sighed and relaxed on the sofa.

"Its so funny, being in love. It makes you do things you never thought you would ever do! I hate it. I hate being in love, being so vulnerable! Not being able to make a decision for yourself. I don't believe in love anymore, I never want to be in love."

Severus got up and walked towards the fireside, "Have you ever been in love Celestia?" Celestia laughed, "Oh I was in love once. It felt so magical I even started believing that everything in life is perfect, being with him meant I could be happy! But it wasn't so. He left me, made me feel so used and broken. I never want to feel that."

"If I may who was it?" Celestia drank the remainder of the wine in her glass and refilled it. "Lucas." Severus turned around to face her. "You loved him?" Celestia nodded. "Yes I loved him and he left me and then he has the audacity to come back after a year and act as if nothing happened!" Severus thought for a moment.

"You can't blame love for something that imbecile did. What if you fall in love with someone else, wh-what if someone else falls in love with you?" Celestia closed her eyes. "You know something Severus, I have kissed more bottles than I have kissed men. To be honest a hangover hurts less than a break up, I think I am better off without love." Severus stood there staring into the fire. Asking himself if he should tell her. He finally turned to look at her, to tell her but when he did, she was fast asleep on the sofa. He walked towards her and kneeled.

"I-I am in love with you Miss Hamilton, but don't you worry I will never tell you. I promise you I would never hurt you, never will I ever leave you. Maybe only when death graces me. But till then I will love you from afar. I will be there when you need me. I will love you, always." He moved closer to her and placed a kiss on her forehead. He then carried her to his room and gently placed her on the bed. Pulling the blanket over her, he walked down the stairs towards the siting room. He laid down on the sofa, legs stretched out, and his arms behind his head. He wasn't sure before but now he knew he was in love, but she didn't want to be in love. He decided he would ask her about Lucas and get to know what exactly that wanker did that made her hate love.

Celestia woke up the next day when the gleams of light hit her face. She opened her eyes to see she was in bed, someone else's bed she immediately got up and walked down the stairs to see Severus sitting on the sofa reading the Daily Prophet. Celestia walked towards the sofa, "Good morning." She said as she yawned.

Severus folded the newspaper then looked up and smiled, "Good morning Celestia. You must be hungry lets grab some breakfast there is a muggle café just around the corner." They walked along the snow clad pavements. It was a short walk. They entered the café and sat down. The waitress walked towards their table, "Hello Mr Snape its nice to see you and hello ma'am welcome to Café Miraze. What can I get you?" Celestia looked through the menu, "I would like a black coffee and crepes with berries." The waitress turned towards Severus, "And the usual for you sir?" Severus nodded. The waitress disappeared behind the counter. They sat there for a few minutes very quiet before the breakfast arrived. They ate their breakfast again in silence, it was killing Severus so he finally decided to break it. "What happened with Lucas?" Celestia was drinking her coffee but when Severus asked the question she stopped and looked at him. "Does it matter?"

"Yes it does!" Severus was quick to reply but now Celestia was a bit annoyed, "Lucas was my past and I don't wish to remember my past. Did you ever bother to mention Serena?"

"Oh again with her well there was nothing to tell you about her. We met coincidentally and she enthralled my grandmother with her charm and that was all it took for the wedding bells to ring in my grandmothers head. Celestia I would never hold your past against you. I just wanted to know why you have stopped believing in love!" Celestia groaned, "I met Lucas when I had just begun my career at the Daily Prophet. He was just perfect. Everything he did made me fall deeper in love with him. And I thought he shared the similar feelings for me but no, he shared those feelings with every girl he ever knew. I have never felt so defenceless in my life. Not knowing how to cope up, how to stand back after falling. Sometimes I think I still harbour some feelings for him. I just don't know anymore I am lost where love is concerned. I prefer to be happy than being in love. Falling in love is quite simple and easy but liking the person sincerely is difficult. So for now love can take the backseat."

Severus was a little apprehensive now she said she still had feelings for him, for Lucas. He always lost the ones he loved, on every occasion. Whenever his heart felt something for someone. It would always end up in a heartbreak, always his heartbreak. "Severus, I think I should leave now. Why don't you come over for dinner. Don't give me an excuse I saw your kitchen it had nothing fit for human consumption in it! See you in the evening. Also before I leave is Draco really a good choice for my best friend?" Severus thought for a while he didn't want to make haste in giving an opinion about his godson, because it could break or make his character. "Draco has gone through a lot of things, which he should not have. He has been raised to believe that he as a Malfoy should complete certain undertakings. He should never bring any dishonour to his family name. He has tried to fit in his father's shoes but I am glad he is gone on his mother. He is not all that callous, he's just a hard shelled egg which has a soft yolk inside. Your friend if she has truly found happiness with him then you should try and comprehend her decision. I may say his behaviour on that day was indubitably uncalled for but he is quite overprotective of the ones he cares about, he thought you to be a charlatan. For which I apologise dearly. Please don't hold that against him." Celestia pondered upon what he had just said. "Alright I think I was quite nippy in making a judgement. I think I should meet Camorra and apologise for my nasty behaviour at the Ball. So I shall see you in the evening, have a good day Severus." Celestia smiled and got up. "Sure I will see you in the evening, Celestia."

Celestia apparated in the fringes of the countryside. She had to meet Camorra. She walked along the dirt road towards a dainty cottage. She opened the fence gate and walked in. She walked on the stone road which took her to the entrance of the home. She took in a breath then knocked on the door. After a few minutes the door opened and it was Camorra. When she saw Celestia she walked out and closed the door behind her. Celestia looked at her, "Hi, how have you been?" Camo looked her way, "I am good what brings you here?" Celestia could see that she was still upset about their previous very short conversation. "Look Camo I am sorry. I should not have reacted the way I did. I was being rash for no reason, I should have given you a chance to explain and I just made a lot of wrong assumptions about Draco. Will you please forgive me?" Camo smiled and literally jumped off the ground and hugged her best friend. "You are forgiven, I missed talking to you so much Celly and with the wedding I had no help. I am literally having a nervous breakdown!" Celestia grinned, "I knew it you couldn't handle a thing without me." Camo and Celestia entered the house to see Draco sitting on the sofa the moment he saw Celestia he turned towards Camo, "What is she doing here?" Celestia puckered her lips, "Better get use to me fancy boy! You are going to see a lot of me around here!" Camo laughed but Draco was quite unimpressed. "I demand to know what she is doing here?" Celestia raised her eyebrow then looked at Camo, "Does he always talk like this? Anyway doesn't matter I am here to help my best friend pick up beautiful bridal gown so you can skedaddle sweetie!" Draco was furious he was about to say something but Camo walked towards him and kissed him. Celestia turned around, "Get a room you two!"

Draco looked at Celestia, "Well you better get accustomed to seeing this a lot, sweetie!" with another peck Draco walked towards the door and apparated. Now it was just Celestia and Camo left in the house.

"So are you pregnant is that why you are getting married?" Camo almost dropped the canister of fresh juice. "No, no that's not the reason. Its just we have found our happiness and we wish to be together. You know something Celly, I was quite worried I never thought he would be so kind to me. He is a Malfoy after all I didn't expect him to even talk to me I thought he had too much pride and since I am not from a pureblood wizarding family it was quite appalling when he asked me out on a date and then one thing led to another and before we knew it we were in love!" Celestia made a disgusted face, "Ugh! Please spare me the horror of your fairy tail relationship. Now shall we go get you a lovely wedding dress?" Camo nodded.

Severus sat in his study thinking over how was he ever going to know if Celestia will ever love him. He was quite distressed. He didn't even know whom he should talk to Narcissa was an option but she was quite busy with the upcoming wedding. Maybe for now he could just forget about talking to anyone and just try and think of something different. But he was done for it, she was on his mind even when he wasn't thinking about anything. He closed his eyes and stretched out on the chair. It was going to be a long day.

Celestia and Camo had searched for a wedding dress and even finalised one. Camo wanted to buy the dress from a muggle boutique the same place where her mother had purchased her wedding dress. After hours of shopping and having a quick lunch then shopping again and finally ending their shopping spree at the tea house the girls parted their ways. Celestia came home with a bag of groceries. She had to make something other than pasta for once. She walked into the kitchen and left the groceries on the counter. She walked towards the fridge to see a note stuck on it.

Going to Minnie's house for the weekend. See you soon!

Celestia took the note and put it on the counter. She then moved to empty the bags. It had almost been an hour and a half and she was slogging herself in the kitchen. Making a fancy dinner was not easy. She even questioned herself why was she even taking so much effort to impress him. She had no answer for it so she continued. The door bell rang Celestia was a bit surprised, it was quite early for dinner. But nonetheless she walked towards the door she seemed a little excited to see Severus. She opened the door but to her surprise it was not what she had expected, "Lucas? What in the name of hades are you doing here?" Lucas looked down, "I came to apologise for my behaviour the other day. I was drunk." He removed his hand from behind his back and gave Celestia a bunch of flowers. Celestia looked at him, he really seemed to be sincere with his apology. She hesitated but took the flowers and invited him inside. "I have been very cruel towards you Celestia. I know what you must think of me that I left you and went away but believe me I did comeback to meet you but you had left for Asia. I wanted to explain myself to you but I never got a chance. Please Celestia I am truly sorry, I never meant for you to be this hurt." Celestia was taken aback she had never expected this, "It doesn't matter now Lucas I am with someone else." Celestia sat on the sofa.

Lucas grinned and walked towards her and knelt in front of her, "Look at me Celly, and tell me you don't have any feelings for me!" Celestia was extremely befuddled she looked at Lucas.

"Say it Celestia, say that you don't have any feelings for me and I wont bother you ever again!" Celestia got up and walked away from him, "I need some time Lucas you can't just walk back into my life and expect me to be alright with it." He got up and stood behind her, "Ofcourse Celly, take all the time you need. I promise you I will be here for you." With that he walked towards the door. Celestia opened it. Lucas stepped outside but he turned and gave her a kiss on her cheek. "I will be waiting Celly, good night!" he turned and walked down the road and apparated. Celestia stood there in the darkness staring at his disappearing figure she looked at the loneliness around her. She thought she was alone there but a black shadow perfectly hidden around the corner had seen everything a little too well. Afterall he was a spy once, Severus Snape.
