Like any other mythology, Chinese myths originate from cultural history and traditions passed down over the centuries in the land of China. There are countless stories about their gods and goddesses, starting from the creation of the world to the famous lovers separated by fate. China is also known for its rich literature creating its own fantasy genre, Xianxia, inspired by their myth and the path of immortality but to anyone new to this myth, this will be heavily inspired by the classic Chinese novel, Journey to the West, as most gods and goddesses mentioned are characters on these book. For further information, I will be providing a glossary that may contain spoilers. Beware.
