Celine's Story
Celine was a cheerful young woman who always smiled and spread happiness wherever she went. Her laughter was contagious, and it seemed like nothing could dampen her spirits. That day, like most days, she was playing in the park with children. The sun was shining, and their laughter echoed through the air. Celine loved spending time with children because their innocence and joy brought out the best in her.
As they were playing, a little girl fell and scraped her knee. The child's face twisted in pain, and tears welled up in her eyes. Celine immediately noticed and rushed over to her.
"What happened? Does it hurt a lot?" Celine asked, kneeling beside the little girl with a concerned expression.
"Yes, it hurts a lot," the girl said, her voice trembling with pain.
"Hold on, I'll clean it and put a bandage on it," Celine said, her voice calming. She pulled out a small first-aid kit from her bag, which she always carried with her. She gently cleaned the wound and carefully applied a bandage.
"There you go! Feeling better now?" Celine asked with a warm smile.
The little girl nodded, still teary-eyed, but clearly feeling a bit better from Celine's care. "Thank you," the child softly said.
Celine patted her head and said, "Wait here, I'll be right back." She stood up and headed towards a nearby food stand, where she bought a small chocolate bar. While waiting for her change, she noticed a large chocolate bar on the counter, its bright wrapper gleaming in the sunlight. Looking around to ensure no one was watching, Celine quickly swiped the large chocolate and hid it in her pocket.
Returning to the little girl, she gave her the large chocolate bar with a mischievous grin. "This is for you. Don't tell anyone," she whispered.
The little girl's eyes lit up as she accepted the chocolate, her earlier pain forgotten in the joy of the unexpected treat. Meanwhile, Celine kept the small chocolate for herself, unwrapping it as she happily walked away.
As Celine continued to skip around the park, eating her chocolate and humming a happy tune, a young man, Oliver, stood at a distance watching the scene. Oliver came from a wealthy family, and his polished appearance and expensive clothes reflected his affluent background. He had been buying something at the food stand when he noticed Celine's playful antics with the children.
Oliver was intrigued by Celine. He had never seen someone her age being so childlike, yet so captivating. "Look at her," he thought to himself. "She's fully grown but playing with kids as if she's one of them. And stealing chocolate? How ridiculous!" Yet, he couldn't stop himself from laughing at her carefree nature.
He watched as Celine danced around, full of joy and light-heartedness, and then saw her heading toward a small chapel. She often went there to pray, but even when she entered that quiet, solemn space, there was a playful energy about her. She was the kind of person who could make even the most ordinary moments fun.
Oliver left with his purchased items, but he couldn't stop thinking about Celine. He had seen people steal before, but they always did it out of desperation or greed. Celine, on the other hand, had stolen chocolate just for fun-and to make a little girl happy. It seemed like rules and norms didn't apply to her, and she lived in a world she had created, filled with laughter and joy.
As Oliver walked through the park, he wondered what kind of person Celine was. How could someone be so carefree when the world often felt heavy and burdensome? He was used to living a structured, disciplined life, where everything had its place, and every action had a purpose. But Celine seemed to defy that logic, living in the moment and doing whatever made her and those around her happy.
Later that day, as Oliver sat in his luxurious apartment, he couldn't get Celine out of his mind. He didn't usually find himself fascinated by people like her, but there was something special about her. Her joy, her mischievous nature, and her care for the little girl had left a deep impression on him. He realized that, despite her playful antics, there was a depth to her actions-a kind of innocence and kindness that he rarely encountered in his world.
He decided that he wanted to learn more about her, to understand what made her so different. But for now, he was content with the memory of Celine's laughter echoing through the park, reminding him that there were still people in the world who saw life as something to be enjoyed, not as a burden.
Meanwhile, Celine finished her prayers and started walking home, her heart light and her mind filled with thoughts of the fun day she had spent with the children. Little did she know that her carefree attitude and playful spirit had caught the attention of someone who would soon become a part of her life.
Thus, on a sunny afternoon, two very different lives briefly crossed paths in a park. One, a wealthy young man used to a life of order and sophistication; the other, a cheerful, free-spirited young woman who lived her life like a child playing in the sun. Neither of them knew it yet, but that encounter would be the beginning of a journey that would change their lives forever.
Celine quietly sat in front of the small altar in the chapel. She clasped her hands together and closed her eyes, her lips moving slowly as she began to speak to God. She had come to pray, as she often did, but today, her thoughts were heavier than usual.
"Dear God," Celine whispered, "I did something bad again today. I stole, but it wasn't something expensive. I didn't have much choice-I didn't have any money. What else could I have done?" She took a deep breath, feeling a mix of guilt and justification in her heart.
As she continued to speak, her voice shifted. There was a playful innocence in her words, a childlike quality that made her seem younger than her 24 years. "God, please forgive me for what I did, but also, can you give me something? I need a rich husband, someone with a lot of money. If I had money, I could do so many things. First, I would pay for my father's treatment; he's very sick, and we can't afford the hospital bills. Then, I would make sure my little sister gets a good education. She's young and has her whole life ahead of her-I don't want her to end up like me, stealing just to survive."
Celine's eyes softened as she spoke, her voice growing even quieter. "And my mother... she's lost in the world of drugs. If I had money, I could send her to rehab, help her get better, and maybe, just maybe, we could be a family again. I could also pay for all her legal troubles so she wouldn't have to worry anymore."
Her prayer turned into a plea. "God, I know it's a lot to ask, but please, can you give me a rich husband? I'll marry anyone-he could be blind, deaf, mute, old-anything. I just need someone who can help my family. That's my only prayer, nothing else."
She finished her prayer with a deep breath, her head still bowed. For a few moments, she remained there, lost in thought, her fingers playing with the hem of her dress as if waiting for an answer.
Unbeknownst to her, someone was standing nearby, listening to every word she said.
Ethan, a young man standing in the chapel, had overheard Celine's prayer. He had come to the chapel for just a moment of reflection, but when he heard her voice, something made him stop and listen. At first, he was intrigued by how openly she spoke to God, as if she were talking to an old friend. There was a rawness in her voice, a truthfulness he hadn't heard in a long time.
He watched her quietly from a distance, noting how sincere she seemed in her words, even though her requests seemed materialistic. But as he listened more, he realized that her desires weren't born from greed but from a deep love for her family, a love so strong that she felt the need to help those she cared about.
Ethan began to feel an unexpected pull toward Celine. She was unlike any woman he had ever seen before. She wasn't asking for wealth for herself, not really. She wanted to use it to fix the broken pieces of her life, to mend what had gone wrong in her family.
As he watched her, he noticed something else. Despite the seriousness of her prayer, there was an innocence about her. Celine was 24 years old, but she had a childlike quality-the way her big eyes looked, the way she spoke so openly, and the carefree manner in which she carried herself, even in a place as serious as a chapel.
A smile crept onto Ethan's face. "She's looking for a rich husband, yet she's stealing chocolate to give to a little girl. There's a strange contradiction in that," he thought. But instead of being put off by it, he found it charming. She was a mix of innocence and determination, someone who wasn't afraid to ask for what she wanted but still filled with love and care for others.
As he stood there, Ethan suddenly realized something. "Maybe she's the one I've been looking for," he thought to himself. He had been thinking about marriage for some time but hadn't met anyone who felt right. His family was wealthy, and most of the women he had met were more interested in his fortune than in him as a person. But Celine... she wasn't like that. Even though Ethan was about to do something he had never imagined.
Celine, with her light steps, was walking out of the park. Her world was still the same-innocent, playful, and a bit mischievous. But she had no idea that a stranger was about to enter her life and change everything.
On the other hand, Ethan, sitting in his car, continued to think about Celine. She wasn't an ordinary woman, and perhaps that's what drew him to her. He sensed turmoil in her life-her innocence and deep desires held a truth that was rare in the world. He felt that he could help her-not just by providing financial assistance to her family but by giving her life a new direction.
As he drove, he pondered, "Is this the right move? Am I intruding into her life by trying to get to know her?" But then he realized that Celine had no stability in her life, no one who truly cared for her and helped her. She was just living for her family, having forgotten her own dreams and existence.
"Maybe this is my chance to do something right," Ethan said to himself.
A few days passed, and Ethan kept thinking about Celine. He knew he needed the right opportunity, a moment where he could meet her without rushing and slowly get to know her. He drove by the chapel several times, hoping she would be there again, but he hadn't seen her since that day.
Then, one day, as he was returning from work, he saw Celine near the park. As usual, she was laughing and joking, playing with the children, running around with them. Ethan slowly pulled his car to a stop and watched her from a distance, contemplating his plan.
"Walking up to her directly might not be the right thing," he thought. "I can't scare her. I need to gain her trust first."
Ethan decided to enter the park and sit in a corner. He knew he shouldn't rush things. He pretended to be busy on his phone, but his eyes kept drifting back to Celine.
After a while, as the children began to head home, Celine also prepared to leave the park. That's when Ethan decided it was the right moment and slowly approached her.
"Hello," he said politely, smiling at her.
Celine turned around, slightly surprised. "Hello," she replied, a bit puzzled since she had never seen him before.
"I'm sorry if I'm bothering you," Ethan said, "but I've seen you here before, and I thought you look great while playing with the children. Do you come here often?"
Celine laughed and said, "Yes, I come here quite often. I love spending time with the kids. They are so innocent, and playing with them makes me feel like a child again."
Ethan listened to her laugh and realized how genuine and simple she was. "You're absolutely right," he said. "There's a lot to learn from children."
Celine nodded with a smile, and then she asked, "And you? How did you end up here? I've never seen you before."
Ethan thought for a moment and then smiled, saying, "I was just passing by and saw you. I thought I'd talk to you. Maybe it was fate."
Celine paid attention to his words, and her smile deepened gradually. She thought that maybe this man was the answer to her prayers.
"Well then," she said, "if fate has brought us together, we should give it a try. You can try to get to know me, and I'll get to know you."
Ethan was surprised to hear this, but he felt that it was Celine's simplicity and openness that made her so special.
"Alright," he said softly. "Maybe something special is waiting for both of us."
