Long Distance (Marcanne)
FLUFF
"You sure you have to leave, Mar-Mar?" Anne asked, sitting down next to her friend. "It feels like you just got here."
Marcy laughed as she packed her suitcase. "I love how you call me that nickname even after 9 years...Anna-Banana."
Anne gasped and laughed, standing up. "Oh, I missed that!"
Marcy then closed her suitcase. "But, I still have a few hours before we leave for the airport! And there's always us texting each other, don't forget!"
Anne nodded. "I know, I know. But I miss seeing you in person."
"Well, as you always say! Change is a part of life!" Marcy said with an adorable smile. Even during 22, she never quite lost that adorable factor to her.
Anne placed a hand on her chest. "Oh, using my own words against me! Curses!" She laughed...before blushing as they both sat down. "S-So, Marcy...I have a pretty big question."
Marcy tilted her head. "Yeah?"
"W-Well, it's not really a question. B-But, uhh...I-I guess it is, but...a-are...y-you...single...?" She asked with a red face.
Marcy took that as a legitimate question and nodded. "Yeah! I haven't really tried dating yet. Plus, I have someone in mind-" Her eyes then widened and she turned to Anne, her cheeks turning pink. "W-Why do you ask...?"
Anne rubbed the back of her neck. "I-I...w-well, I..."
She then took a deep breath. "O-Okay...feel free to hit me after this."
Marcy became very confused after that. "What do you- MMPH!?"
Anne had taken her chance, cupping Marcy's face and kissing her, her face blood red as she had her eyes shut tightly. She expected to be shoved or pushed away.
But Marcy didn't move. She didn't even make a movement. Her eyes were just wide as her entire face went red...before she slowly melted into the kiss, slowly wrapping her arms around Anne's neck.
Anne's eyes widened a bit, but she felt a huge wave of relief as she shut her eyes again, wrapping her own arms around Marcy's waist. She held her close before they both parted the kiss.
"A-Anne..." Marcy whispered, seeming shocked. "D-Do you...l-like me...?"
Anne blushed and nodded. "T-Thought I was being incredibly obvious, heh. I-I...I love you, Marcy Wu." She said. "I-I think I've had a crush on you since we were kids but didn't realize it until you came to visit after you moved."
Marcy's heart soared and she leaned in. "I...I've had a crush on you too. I-I just never noticed...y-you're the reason I haven't dated anybody else c-cause I want YOU as my girlfriend."
Anne smiled, her face reddening. "R-Really...?"
Marcy nodded. "Y-Yeah! E-Even if we have to be a long distance relationship, I do-"
"I'm perfectly fine with that." Anne whispered, kissing Marcy's nose. "I know they never work out in a lot of cases, but? I-I think we should give it a try."
Marcy couldn't stop smiling and she leaned in. "Y-Yeah. Let's." She whispered before kissing her again.
Maybe a few more hours before leaving to go to the airport couldn't hurt.
