ANGST

When a person, human or not, is given unlimited power, more often than not...they're corrupted. That power will get to their heads. They will think they're invincible. That no one could step to them.

This is a case of someone just realizing they had this unlimited power from the very start.

The Guardians all sat in their chamber, watching as all the other Guardians and Miraculous Users sat in the audience, awaiting something. But what?

They were all awaiting a trial. A trial of someone's guilt. But unlike nowadays, the accused was left to fend for himself. He had no-one on his side.

The Head Guardian's eyes started looking around at the Miraculous Users specifically. They were badly injured, their costumes and armor with all kinds of tears and their weapons were either dull or broken.

But he noticed one Miraculous User was missing in particular...the user of the Cat Miraculous. There was a reason for that.

Then, the doors were practically smashed open as the user of the Ladybug Miraculous, who looked even more beaten and battered than all the other users combined. But instead of looking hurt, she looked more angry.

"...bring him in." Ladybug said to a pair of guards behind her as she walked deeper into the chamber, now standing in front of The Guardians, who gave her a nod.

The guards that started pulling someone in, who came in willingly. A warrior with red armor and a black spider symbol right on his chest. His helmet covered his entire face, looking like some kind of bald humanoid creature with four eyes and horns. Some would think he was some kind of demon.

This was Webbz, now named Arachnid. The Miraculous of Corruption. The only Miraculous so far to be made for evil.

He wasn't always on the side of darkness though...in fact? The Kwami of Creation, Tikki, knew him a little too well.

Arachnid was forced to his knees and he looked up at The Guardians, who all looked very displeased and angry to even see him, but they kept themselves calm. The Head Guardian stood and took his staff.

"The Guardians are now all called to order. The trial shall begin." The Head Guardian said, setting his staff on a pedestal. "We sit in judgement over Webbz for crimes and atrocities committed against humanity and your own kind."

Arachnid's eyes narrowed at his old name and he stood up, despite being in chains and the guards pointing spears at his neck. "You do not need to state what I have done, Guardians...everyone knows by now."

"You will speak when spoken to." The Head Guardian threatened as Arachnid was shoved back down to his knees. "Webbz. Also known as Kwami of Corruption, God of Hatred, and Lord Arachnid. Prepare to face the following charges."

Arachnid smirked a little bit under his helmet, while everyone else in the room started to scowl. Especially Ladybug.

"Let it be known to this entire room you willingly slaughtered an entire palace and its Emperor, when your mission was to confront him. Let it be known that you willingly possessed your owner's body for yourself, using forbidden magic and arts to make it possible. Let it be known that you corrupted an entire courthouse into ruthless beings, burning down an entire city with them at your command."

Arachnid stood again, but immediately froze when the spears were pointed even closer to his neck.

"Let it be known that you are responsible for the deaths and corruption of countless people and Guardians alike. Let it be known that you attempted to destroy the entire human race with your army and power. Let it be known that you wanted to forge your own Miraculous, based off The Sins of mankind."

Arachnid looked up at The Head Guardian. "I'm well aware of what I have done-"

Then, a new voice spoke up...The Kwami of Destruction himself, Plagg. Without an owner. "And let it be known that you are single handedly responsible for the death of Liu Tang AKA Cat Noir!"

Ladybug clenched her fist at the mention of that, since she herself was the wife of Cat Noir, even if he was one of many Cat Noirs.

Arachnid suddenly cackled. "You won't get over that, will you...brother?"

"Brother?" Plagg snarled. "You aren't my brother!!! Not after what you did!!!"

Arachnid sighed. "It's a pity then, Plagg. You raised me to be great, even if you didn't find out what my power was until it was too late...why blame me for the death of your master when it was you who was too weak to see he was just a cruel man...?"

Ladybug lunged at Arachnid, raising a sword over Arachnid's head until a voice called out.

"Ladybug! Plagg! That is enough!" The Head Guardian boomed, his voice commanding and almost threatening.

Ladybug looked at her husband's Kwami and then slowly stepped back, with Plagg floating away, looking at his 'brother' with pure hatred in his eyes.

"You have committed many more crimes, Webbz." The Head Guardian said. "There is no possible way to defend yourself from your punishment...so, what are your last words?"

Arachnid's eyes narrowed. "...simple...I killed Liu Tang because he was like every single Miraculous User in this room. None of you see me and my kind as your equals...you see us as pets."

The room was silent.

Arachnid's eyes started to glow a little. "My master was cruel and abusive to me, disgusted by the fact that I had no power...perhaps it was my Corruption who turned him like that, but it no longer matters! What I did to his body was putting it to better use! What I did to Liu Tang was saving Plagg from the torment of being a slave!!! All of us are slaves to you!!!" He roared. "You look down on us...as tiny little beings who are meant to serve you and you alone...don't you?"

Once again, there was no response.

"All of you humans are just evil to each other in general. The evil ones, their corruption of the good is what brought me into this life..." Arachnid growled. "I DEDICATED MY LIFE TO YOUR COMMANDS! I DEDICATED ALL I HAD TO THEM!!! WE ALL HAVE!!! WE ARE GODS!!! NOT YOUR PETS!!!"

He then looked directly at Ladybug. "The Kwamis could crush you all...they could crush this planet to its last stone! But...they serve you wicked beings instead for reasons I will never understand...you've turned them into slaves and now they're too far gone to listen..."

Ladybug was trying with all her might to stay calm, but she wouldn't be able to take it for much longer. "You see the evil in everyone! Even when it doesn't exist!"

"As someone who was made from evil...? I know what I'm talking about..." Arachnid snarled. "You took her away from me, Ladybug...you took everything away...the one chance I had at freedom and destroying this miserable planet was all taken away by YOU!!!"

The Head Guardian took his staff again and then hopped down alongside the other Guardians. The Miraculous Users all stood up and began walking over as well. They all surrounded Arachnid.

Suddenly? They began to chant a spell. Arachnid's eyes widened before he quickly unleashed his spider legs and stabbed the two guards beside him. He then lunged at Ladybug, but his legs were suddenly frozen to the ground.

"As a Kwami, you can't be killed by our current state...so, the punishment? You will forever be sealed in stone! Never to be seen again and forgotten by all of history!" The Head Guardian declared.

And then, crimson stone began surrounding and almost leeching onto Arachnid's body. The villain gasped and then broke free of his chains, but it was hopeless. He roared and thrashed around, but the stone kept surrounding his body until everything but his head was trapped.

"LADYBUG!!! I SWEAR WITH MY LIFE I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE-!" Arachnid declared before the room was silent.

He was now frozen as a statue screaming into the air.
