Without a single word, he rushed forward and tackled the boy to the ground.
"Well hello to you too." Hoseok chuckled, feeling Yoongi's arms wrap around him securely, face buried in the nape of his neck. But when he heard quiet sniffling, he looked down at him in concern and wrapped his own arms around the shorter. "Hey, hey. Hyung, why are you crying?"
Yoongi lifted his head up, displaying his now red eyes and flushed cheeks and nose. "Why do you think, asshole? My best friend left me when I had done something horrible and I spent the last seven months letting guilt eat me up. A-and now you're here a-and I JUST MISS YOU YOU JERK!"
"IF YOU MISS ME THEN WHY DO YOU KEEP CALLING ME NAMES?!"
"I'M NOT THIS IS MY DEFENSE MECHANISM!"
"WELL YOU SHOULD CHANGE THAT!"
Taehyung quietly watched his two hyungs quarrel while basically cuddled on the floor, his boxy grin deciding to display itself on his face. Despite the arguing, it was heartwarming really. He missed this.
The chain of cloudy days had finally come to an end when those rays of sunshine decided the sunny days are well deserved.

"I'll go get the last box from the car." Taehyung said, grabbing the keys from the counter and closing the door behind him.
Hoseok and Yoongi were left alone to unpack their belongings. The younger insisted on helping out since he had no plans for the rest of the day and so the unpacking process didn't take as long as it should have with three people on the job.
It was still a bit awkward between the two, both not having forgotten their past.
"Look Hoseok, I'm sorry!" Yoongi suddenly bursted out, startling the younger who almost dropped the picture frame in his hands. "I'm really sorry for saying those things about you that day! I didn't mean any of it I swear I was just caught up in my own jealousy! You're one of the most important people in my life and I-I hurt you! I'm so sorry! Please forgive me! I'm-"
"Woah, woah. Calm down, Yoongi." Hoseok quickly set the frame down and walked over to the older, rubbing his back soothingly. "Don't worry about it. I've forgiven you a long time ago. I don't hold grudges and I definitely can't hold grudges towards you even if I tried... my heart wouldn't allow it." He shyly laughed at the end, scratching the back of his head.
"Can I ask you something, Hobi?" The older continued taking items out of the box he was working on, completely oblivious of the younger's stammering hearting from the old nickname. Nonetheless, the brunet nodded. "Do you... do you still like me? Do you still like.. Jimin?"
Hoseok didn't know how to respond without sounding pathetic but he still answered. "N-no of course not." He forced a strained laugh. "Those feelings f-faded away once I left. I only see Jimin as a friend."
"What about me?"
The taller was turned away, chewing on his bottom lip before plastering a smile on as he turned around. "I-I only see you as my best friend."
Yoongi smiled at that, proceeding to hug the younger in a more coordinate fashion this time. Hoseok sighed into the hug, letting himself bask in the moment.
"So... how have you been? Have you found anyone you're interested in?" The older mindlessly asked, finishing unpacking his last box as Hoseok did the same for Taehyung's.
"No. Haven't had the time for that kind of stuff when I'm busy preparing for uni and taking care of little Jiwoo." The brunet responded with a pout. "Plus I don't think I'm meant to... catch feelings for anyone. It never turns out well in my part." He laughed at himself but Yoongi frowned.
"Hoseok-"
"No, it's fine Yoongi. I didn't mean to make it sound like it's a bad thing. I'm content with how things are right now. I don't need my feelings to drag me down again." Yoongi sighed at that, truly wishing the boy would find someone in the future.
"Anyways, speaking of Jiwoo. How's my little princess doing?" The older decided to change the topic, gummy smile on display.
"Believe me when I say she misses you a little too much. Always bugging me about seeing her prince again." The sunshine chuckled, plopping down on the couch.
Taehyung suddenly walked in, Hoseok a little relieved to have a third person in the room. He set the box down and stretched his limbs, bones cracking which made Yoongi visibly cringe.
"Hey what do you say we go by my apartment and pick up little Jiwoo so we can go out for lunch?" The brunet suggested, standing up to grab his phone and wallet. "My dad's going to work in a bit and I can't leave the munchkin by herself."
The two other males nodded, deciding to just finish unpacking the last box when they get back.
"Sunshine, I'm home!" Hoseok called out, opening the door to his apartment. Yoongi and Taehyung followed behind him, closing the door as pitter-pattering of small feet echoed through the living room.
"Seokie!" A little girl giggled, running up to her older brother. "Whew wer yew?"
"I went to help TaeTae and Yoongi unpack, sunshine." At that, the toddler's eyes sparkled in delight, peeping over Hoseok's shoulder to see the two males.
"Pwince!" She squealed, making grabby hands toward the mint head.
"Hey there, princess." Yoongi cooed, taking her in his arms. "I missed you, little one."
"I mished yew two!" She giggled, wrapping her little arms around his neck.
"I see how it is, Jiwoo." Taehyung said from behind his hyung, putting his hand on his chest to emphasize his acting.
"TaeTae!" She smiled, making the same grabby hands toward the male.
"No no no. You hurt my feelings, I deserve an apology." He pretended to sniffle, head dramatically turned to the side.
"I sowwy! I mished yew two, TaeTae." She whined before the male took her in his hold.
"Apology accepted." Taehyung smiled, giving the little one a million smooches. The living room was filled with the little girl's giggling as Tae sat them on the couch.
Yoongi watched fondly at the two before a hand with a messily sealed envelope came into his vision. He looked up to Hoseok who held the object in front of the confused older.
"What's this?" He questioned, hesitantly taking the envelope to inspect it. A sloppy 'To Pwince' was written on the back.
"It's from Jiwoo. A month after we moved, she gave it to me to give to you. She said not to read it and only her prince can." He playfully scoffed. "But yeah, as you already know, I couldn't really give it to you at the time so I guess right now is a good time to." With that he joined Taehyung and the munchkin on the couch.
Yoongi looked down at the envelope with a small smile as he opened it, pulling a piece of paper out. The paper was filled with colorful letters, each one shakily written with a crayon. It was cute that she wrote to him. The male always knew the kid was a smart one for she already knew how to write which was a shock for her age. Her spelling still needed a little practice but it's the thought that counts.
Deer Pwince,
I mis u a lot. But ges wat?! I havnt cryd in so long. I feel prowd. I tink Seokee mises u two. He alwayz crys to sleep now. It maiks me sad. Com over and maik him smile plees.
Luv, Pwincess
The boy felt his heart ache after reading the short letter. He lifted his head up to look at Hoseok who laughed as he played with his little sister's hair to tease her. The brunet met eyes with the older who smiled from getting caught. And he smiled back.
The day was coming to an end when the sky slowly welcomed the pink and purple hues.
After eating at a fast food and catching up, Hoseok went home with little Jiwoo. That left Yoongi and Taehyung to finally finish the last box of their belongings for the dorm.
"I'm gonna go call Jimin and take a nap." Yoongi groaned, pulling himself off of the couch to trudge in his new room.
Taehyung hummed, taking his own phone out to find Jungkook's contact. He pressed the call button, eyes closed from exhaustion as he waited for his boyfriend's sweet voice to fill his ears.
"Hyung?" The younger called out from the other line.
"Ah, I miss you already." Taehyung whined, causing the other to giggle through the call.
"Did you finish unpacking?"
"Yeah, just did. I'm just relaxing now. Calling before I take a shower and nap." He sighed. "Also, you'll never guess who Yoongi-Hyung and I ran into."
"Hoseok-Hyung."
"No, Hoseo- wait how'd you know?" The blonde confusedly asked.
"He's the only person we all know that's in Seoul, Taehyung. Plus, Yoongi obviously already told Jimin and Jimin told me." Taehyung could practically sense the eye roll the younger was giving him.
"Don't play smart with me, bun" he groaned, earning a laugh from the boy.
"Well you must be tired. You should go rest now." Jungkook softly said.
"Yeah... yeah I probably should."
"You still promise to call and text everyday right?" The high schooler questioned.
"Of course, bun. I'll call you when I wake up. I love you."
"I love you too."
Promises were always easier said than done.
So it was no surprise that as time flew by, each day caused a bigger gap between the two's relationship.
Until there was none.
