Oct. 6 (Fall Poem)
Whoopsies, guess who forgot to put the title picture (idk what it's called lol) up for the past few days. Certainly not me... *nervous laugh*
Happy German-American Day as well! It celebrates German-American heritage and commemorates the founding of Germantown, Pennsylvania, in 1683 :')
Pushing that aside, I'm going on vacation to Washington DC for Fall Break so that's fun :). And I made a long poem that I've edited and edited and edited so that it looks cool :p Enjoy!
Whispers of Autumn
The air turns crisp, and gentle sighs,
As summer waves its last goodbye,
And fall slips between everything and spreads,
To paint the world in hues of red.
The trees, once green, begin to tire,
Their branches hum with soft desire,
To dance within the night's soft glow,
Before the gales of winter blow.
The leaves take flight, swirling and whirling,
In autumn's tender, playful swing,
They twirl and drift with spirited grace,
Like secrets being whispered through the space.
The sun sinks past with a final spark,
And casts long shadows through the dark,
The earth exhales a soft, deep sigh,
As midnight's stars begin to dot the sky.
The scent of campfire smoke fills the air,
As harvests reveal their love and care,
Orchards swell with nature's sweets,
Decorations fill the people's streets.
The pumpkins grow in fields aglow,
And winds begin to speak their gentle blow,
Through fields of corn, now golden tall,
As night-time whispers, a soft call.
The world slows down, as do the leaves,
As nature tucks itself in its sleeves,
Preparing for the frost's cold twist,
In autumn's twilight's fleeting bliss.
The quiet holds onto an ancient sound,
As fallen leaves rest on the ground,
The earth, now resting in her own embrace,
Finds peace within her autumn space.
Tada! Did you guys like it? My search history is full of synonyms and rhymes for so many words :,)
