More Ambrose and Aaron because they make me happy

"There's a lot of reasons why this sounds like something I can't do."
"It's holding my hand, not having sex in the park water fountain." Aaron rolled his eyes.
"See, I could maybe do the other one-"
"Please don't finish whatever thought that I'd coming out of your mouth." He watched Ambrose put both hands in the pockets of his neatly pressed slacks. Eyes darting around the small duck pond they thought to visit together at night. They had pretty lights set up along the bridge over it. And it made the older man think to take Aaron to look and walk around with him.
Basically a date. But Ambrose didn't think that.
"Hey, you mentioned it not me." He scoffed. Leaning over the bridge curiously. Pretending to be looking at the sleeping ducks hiding in the grass by the bank.
"There isn't anyone here. Besides, it's dark enough no one would know it's us." Aaron moved to his side. Not bothering to see what Knox was busy looking at and staring right at his face with furrowed brows.
But then he saw it. His face changing for a split second from his usual blank, bored look he had on almost permanently.
His blue eyes caught it. The sudden uneasiness that crept onto his features as he pushed himself off the rails, motioning for the blond to follow him as he stepped down the bridge. Leaving him confused and with a very prominent frown.
He followed after him though, wanting to pry more. To figure out what it was that bothered him about such a little thing.
As he caught up to him. Aaron looked around, letting the wheels turn in his head on what to do as he tried to figure out why they even came to this place. His parents where more than fine to let him stay over at a 'friends' house again, so he thought most of their time would probably be spent at his house this weekend.
But Ambrose thought about it as they drove around, and now, he seemed to be quickly regretting it.
Aaron huffed, pulling the man's hand out of his pocket and intertwining it with his before he could fight it. Watching as Ambrose stopped in his tracks, frowing and already trying to pull his hand back. He was stubborn sure, but they both were.
"Stop being a baby, this is nice!" Aaron yanked his hand back to his chest, the force jerking the other forward, tripping over the uneven sidewalk and making them both collide.
They tripped over each other, falling back into the grass off into the side knocking the air out of Aaron's lungs as Ambrose fell over him, trying to lift himself back up, already panicking that he might be killed the boy. But much to his brief relief did he find that he was alright, and that nothing was going to get his hand out of the boys iron grip. Much quicker than he anticipated though, did Aaron pick himself up, leaves caught in his curly hair as he pushed Ambrose back, straddling the man in the grass as he held out their joined hands so that his green eyes could see.
"Hey! Knock it off you could have gotten hurt-"
"Tell me why you don't like it or we'll be stuck together forever!" He threatened, breath heavy as he stared him down. Determined to get an answer before he went off on his bullshit. Like usual. All the other man could think about was how much of a quick learner he was to know how to get an answer out of him.
Ambrose pursed his lips. Huffing as he looked between their hands and Aaron's determined frown before his face suddenly went bright red. Completely catching the blond off guard as he looked away. Trying to avoid his eyes.
"You're so..." He couldn't even manage to try to say something to be mean. "Aaron..."
They had each other's full attention like this. And as much as it pained the other. He had to spill.
"Well?" He said softly. Turning his red face so that he could see him better in the dim glow of the pond lights.
"I don't... Do that kind of stuff..." Ambrose muttered lightly.
No. It wasn't his thing, usually he was the mistake someone made the night before, the rebound, the one night, the 'f-buddy', the close 'friend', a secret... Just like he had to be now too. He doesn't remember going on a date after highschool. And hell, that was when he still thought he was straight. He didn't know what he was doing bringing Aaron here. But he didn't think this would be what it was like.
"Do what? The sweet stuff?" Aaron blinked in surprise. He was an affection guy himself. So maybe he didn't realize it at first what he was talking about. But he got there. He saw it in the way Ambrose kept trying to look away, how he kept going red at every glance he took at their hands together. But finally his fingers intertwined with his. His free hand falling over his eyes before forcing himself to sit back up so they where properly face to face.
"Yeah... The sweet stuff." He said quietly. Green eyes finally meeting his blue ones with a bit of trepidation.
"You know... It's not just because we are together or anything... It's just... I don't think I've been with... Anyone like this..." He could only ever think of the streets he's walked down, the person he was sleeping with walking in front of him without a glance behind. The guys who pretend they've never met him before. The person who calls him over only to make him leave the next morning.
"I don't think anyone's let me hold their hand."
They stayed silent for a minute. The goofyness of the situation setting in after a minute as Ambrose gave a small chuckle. Pulling a small leaf out of his blond curls as he made him smile in return.
"You've dated some assholes before huh?" Aaron finally let go, choosing instead to wrap his arms around the man in a small hug in the bushes. Like everyone needs at times.
"It takes you to simplify it so well." Ambrose laughed lightly. Kissing his cheek before trying to push the rest off the leaves out of his gold curls.
"I'm pretty good at that." He hummed happily.
"And I want you to hold my hand."
