Unlike what most people expect of his calm disposition, Mat is a complete disaster once you get to know him. He's one of those smart idiots who can repeat back to you the entire class lecture he slept through but absolutely spends the next hour trying to remember how to spell house. He's always a bit tired with both his school work, art work, and taking care of his grandfather, but that doesn't keep him from being about and loud. He's always trying his best to be happy, but totally falls into moments of bleak sadness he can't help but blame on his absent father, since he has almost no one to talk to at home. He's flirty, upfront, and likes to watch people break the rules, since he doesn't like doing so himself.
