She's a Dauntless transfer from Amity. Her mom was Amity, but her dad was Dauntless. She couldn't handle the "unbearable" friendliness of the Amity, but no one knows the true identity of her father. He's one of the high ranking Dauntless. He trains her to fight in secret.

When she comes of age, she chooses to join Dauntless. Her natural talent and her father's training quickly push her to the top of her class, but she doesn't fit in among the Dauntless either because she was raised Amity.

Two years later, Tris Prior joins Dauntless and is quickly warned not to mess with Thea. Tris and the other transfers discuss theories about Thea's past, as no one is willing to tell them anything.

She overhears them talking behind her back and convinces Four to let her take a sparing session with the transfers. She takes them all down, but Tris holds her own for about a minute, earning her respect.

And... the movies really aren't that great and I haven't read the books. I watched the trilogy on a whim and found the concept of the Factions kind of interesting so, my brain created this character. I have no idea what she does in the actual story I just like the concept of an Amity choosing to become a Dauntless. 🤷🏼‍♀️
