Fandom: Attack on Titan

Lin and her family lived just outside of Wall Maria, her father refusing to be trapped by the walls. When a wandering Titan attacks, her parents tell Lin to take her little brother Dylan to the gate, that they would be right behind them.

Lin reaches the gate of Wall Maria and finally looks back to find her parents, but they are no where to be seen. She convinces Dylan to go through the gate and wait for her and their parents. Once he's gone, she goes searching. She finds their father half crushed under a pile of rubble. There's no sign of her mother except a bloody piece of her dress, clutched in her father's hands. She rushes to help her dad get free, but a Titan catches sight of her. She refuses to leave her father to die alone.

A soldier from the Garrison sees the struggle and comes to her aid, grabbing her by the arm and using his ODM gear to escape. Unfortunately, the Titan is too close and manages to bite off Lin's right leg and arm. The soldier gets her to safety while a squad of soldiers distract the monster.  They manage to save her dad, but he's paralyzed from the waist down.

After settling in a new home within Wall Maria, her father - an engineer - designs and builds prosthetic limbs to replace those she lost.

Several years later, the Colossal Titan attacks. Their father is killed and Dylan and Lin get separated. Lin steals the ODM gear from a fallen scout and makes it out of Shiganshina, but there's no sign of Dylan and she fears the worst. She enlists at the age of 15 (2 years after the attack), after she's exhausted her options searching for Dylan, and joins the 104th Cadet Corps.

She trains alongside Armin, Mikasa, and Eren. No one knows about her prosthetics until they start hand-to-hand combat training and someone tries to punch her and she blocks it with her metal arm.

She graduates among the top 10 of the class.

She's on wall supply duty with Eren, when the Colossal Titan attacks Wall Rose. She tries to help Eren fight it, but it vanishes before they can deal any real damage. They report back to HQ and the soldiers prepare for battle. The recruits are split into many squads to try and hold back the Titans.

Lin's squad is near the front and gets wiped out within moments. She struggles to fight back, to cause just enough trouble to get away. A Titan grabs her right leg as she tries to leap away, but she detaches her prosthetic and tumbles to the ground. She drags herself into the nearest building to hide. She finds a thick piece of wood and creates a primitive replacement for her leg so she can escape.

She regroups with Jean's squad and finds a shocked Armin among them. When Mikasa arrives, Armin tells them that Eren and the rest of his squad was killed.

Lin looks out at the city, realizing the hopelessness of their situation. They're only goal now is to escape with their lives; and, for that, they need to refuel and resupply at HQ, which is surrounded by Titans.

With no other options, they go for it. Mikasa's ODM gear runs out of fuel and she drops. Armin goes after her and the rest of them continue on.

Lin gets batted out of the sky by a 15-meter-class. It drops her in its mouth, but she uses her swords to stop herself from sliding down its throat. It bucks and whips it's head at the stabbing pain, but she manages to fire her ODM gear and drag herself out of its mouth. She hits the wall she's anchored to and is knocked unconscious, but not before she sees a huge Titan come to her rescue.

During her recovery, Dylan finds her and gives her a new prosthetic leg, which their dad taught him to build. She's overjoyed to discover that her brother is alive. He tells her that he enlisted 1 year after the attack - as soon as he was old enough. He joined the Survey Corp so he could fight to avenge his family.

A soldier comes to get Lin to be a witness in Eren's trial. She brings Dylan to help her stay upright through the pain from the installment of her new leg.

After the trial, she confronts Levi about assaulting Eren and convinces him to let her onto his squad to protect/train Eren.

On the Survey Corp's mission into Titan territory to scout a route to Wall Maria, they're attacked by the Female Titan. In the forest, Lin and the rest of Levi Squad stay back to protect Eren as he escapes. The others are swiftly wiped out. The Female Titan grabs Lin, squeezing her tightly, but hesitates to kill her. This hesitation allows Captain Levi the chance to save her, though the Titan breaks a few of her ribs. She rides back to Trost in the cart with Eren.

She helps them capture Annie, who is revealed as the Female Titan. Because of this discovery, the other recruits of the 104th training group are confined to the base to be observed. All of them except Eren and Lin that is.

Titans are spotted within Wall Rose and the recruits have to leave the base in search of the hole. They can't find it and choose to spend the night in castle ruins nearby. Titans capable of moving at night attack the ruins. Word of the situation reaches Captain Levi in Trost and they dispatch Hange, Levi, Lin, and Eren to help. They arrive in time to see Ymir fighting off the titans in her own Titan form. Krista reveals that her real name is Historia and she is the true heir to the throne.

They retreat to the top of Wall Rose to tend to the injured and regroup before returning to Trost. As they prepare to leave, Reiner and Bertolt reveal that they are the Armored and Colossal Titans that breached Wall Maria all those years ago.

Lin tries to help Eren fight Reiner, but can't pierce his armor. Eren manages to overpower him, but Bertolt falls from the wall. The resulting blast melts Lin's metal arm together and burns her face and torso.

Dylan arrives with the reinforcements after Eren's capture and replaces her arm so she can help save Eren, despite his objections.

They save Eren and, during the escape, discover that he has the power, buried somewhere inside him, to control titans.

After the mission, Mikasa, Armin, Jean, and the others from the 104th are promoted to Levi Squad.

When they return to Trost District, the wagon carrying Eren and Historia is attacked by the Interior Police led by Kenny the Ripper. Their ODM gear is equipped with guns instead of swords.

Lin shoves Levi out of the way of a bullet as he's chasing Kenny. The bullet ricochets off her metal arm and hits her shoulder. Her ODM gear slows her fall, but she lands haphazardly on a nearby roof. Levi sends Sasha and Conny to check on her while he and the others go after Eren and Historia.

She's patched up, but can't use her right arm while she recovers, the metal prosthetic too heavy for her injured shoulder to support.

When the Survey Corps is accused of murdering Dimo Reeves, Levi helps Lin escape, but Dylan is arrested alongside Erwin and the rest of the Scouts.

She takes time to recover then helps the remaining scouts track down Eren and Historia. They find them in a strange cavern under a church, guarded by Kenny Ackerman and his soldiers.

They fight their way to Eren, who is chained up. Historia is fighting with her father, refusing to become a Titan and devour Eren to gain the power of the Founding Titan.

Desperate, Rod Riess ingests the serum to become a Titan. The transformation jeopardizes the integrity of the cavern. Riess turns to Eren as he changes. Conny and Jean struggle to unlock his chains. To buy them enough time to release him, Lin turns on Riess. Levi tries to stop her, but it's too late. She attacks the rapidly-growing Titan. In the process, his flesh grows around the grapple of her ODM gear. She lands on his shoulder to attack, but her last sword blades break against him. He grabs her by the harness, crushing the buckle on her belt and throws her to the ground. With her buckle and grapple stuck, she can't return to the others. She dodges a falling rock and notices a shard of her sword. Grabbing the shattered metal, she reels herself into the air, hoping to injure Riess with the last of her efforts.

The last thing Levi and the others see is Lin falling towards Riess, the sword shard raised threateningly over her head.

Later, when Levi surveys the sight to check for survivors of Kenny's squad, he finds her pinned under some rubble, the grapple of her ODM gear seemingly carved out of Riess' flesh. She isn't seriously injured, just banged up a bit.

After they stop Riess, Historia becomes queen. Erwin decides it's time to retake Wall Maria. The Survey Corp prepare and, as a whole, ride to Wall Maria.

Eren reseals the outer wall without problem, but, as they prepare to reseal the inner wall, they find Reiner hiding inside.

The Beast Titan appears on the inside of the wall with almost 20 other titans. Erwin, Levi, and most of the Scouts move against the Beast Titan, while Hange's squad and Levi's scouts engage the Armored Titan.

They have Reiner on the ropes when the Beast chucks a barrel over the wall. The Scouts deduce that Bertolt is inside, ready to transform.

They flee to escape the blast zone, but he abandons the effort to check on Reiner.

Hange and her squad go back to finish Reiner, but he's lying on his back. Bertolt transfoms, killing Hange's squad.

Lin, Armin, Mikasa, Jean, Conny, and Sasha struggle to come up with a plan as Eren is unconscious on top of Wall Maria.

Armin and Eren manage to overpower Bertolt and the rest of them blow Reiner out of his Titan body.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the wall, Erwin leads Dylan and the remaining Scouts in a charge against the Beast Titan as a distraction so Levi can reach it. The Beast hurls pulverized boulders at the line of Scouts.

The spikes of rock mangle the recruits. Dylan and Erwin survive the first wave, but Erwin takes a hit in the next volley and Dylan not long after. Soon, the entire host is taken out.

Levi takes down the Beast, but the new quadruped Titan saves his human body and flees over the wall.

Lin and the others find Eren leaning over Armin's charred body, begging Levi to help him with the Titan serum.

Floch - one of the recruits - arrives with Commander Erwin's injured body. Lin asks where Dylan is. Floch just looks at the wall and Lin jumps away to search for him.

She finds him among the corpses. Her scream draws Levi to her. He places a hand on her shoulder and she hugs him.

They reach Eren's basement and find a book that tells the story of Eren's father.

After reviewing the book, the remaining Scouts ride to the harbor and see the sea for the first time. Lin stands at the edge of the water and stares at the horizon, a tear rolling down her cheek as she experiences the outside world without her brother.

Four years later, Eren attacks Marley and steals the powers of the War Hammer Titan. Meanwhile, the scouts hold off the Marlian soldiers. Lin breaks rank and helps fleeing civilians escape the war zone.

Later, on the airship, Jean and Conny confront her about it. She snaps back, saying that she's sick of all the killing. Gabi and Falco board the ship and kill Sasha before being taken prisoner.

Back on Pardis Island, Lin disappears. Levi tracks her down, hiding in one of the forgotten rooms of HQ and prompts her to tell him what's going on. She confesses that she's tired of all the killing, all the death. She'll gladly fight for her people, but she won't kill any innocents to get there.

The Jeagerists start speaking out against Hange and the military for locking Eren up after he abandoned the scouts in Marley. They rile up the citizens as well.

Lin spots Eren in the chaos the Jeagerist create for his escape. She follows him at a distance, waiting until he meets up with Floch and the other Jeagerists to confront him. She tries to talk him down, explain that she believes there's another way to stop this war, without killing more people. It almost seems to work, but Eren bats her hand aside and holds fast to his plan to help Zeke.

She reaches for her sword to take him in, but Floch bashes her over the head with the hilt of his sword, knocking her out.

She finds her way back to the others and reports on her failed attempt to talk sense into him.

They struggle to keep Zeke and Eren from coming into contact, but they fail. Falco becomes the new Jaw Titan and Eren starts the Rumbling.

Hange, Levi, Lin, and the others choose to go after Eren with the help of Reiner, Annie, who was freed when Eren brought down the walls, and some of the Marlians.

They fight the Jeagerists at the harbor to gain control of the Hizuru's Flying Boat. They succeed and tow the flying boat down the coastline to another facility to prep it for flight.

Unfortunately, the Rumbling arrives before they can finish fueling. Hange holds off the titans so Lin and the others can escape.

They track Eren down to a Marlian outpost and attack. The Founding Titan summons past versions of the Nine Warrior Titans to fight back. They get beaten badly and retreat to the Marlian outpost.

As they regroup to strike again, a mist covers the area. They realize it acts like Zeke's spinal fluid. The Titan Wielders and Mikasa and Levi fly off to fight Eren. The rest of the Eldians are turned to titans. Lin's 30 meter Titan form melds her metal prosthetics into her flesh, creating hard limbs she can bludgeon with. She attacks Armin while he grapples with Eren.

When Mikasa kills Eren, Lin gets memories back of Eren showing her visions of her family, explaining his actions, and saying goodbye.

With the end of the Rumbling, the Titan powers disappear as well, leaving the Eldians as normal humans.

Years later, Lin, Armin, Jean, Conny, Reiner, and the other former Titan wielders return to Paradis Island to act as ambassadors in an attempt to prevent any further war.

They visit Eren's grave. Lin goes to her brother's grave and tells him everything that happened.
