Past: The story starts Lillian when enters Cross Academy. When she was thirteen years old, her faimily was attacked by four ghouls, each with a different kagune type. After causing fatal wounds to Lillian's body, a doctor chose the ghoul's organs, due to the fact that her parents bodies couldn't be found, ordered an emergency organ transplant. The doctor did know that the organs were from ghouls, thus creating a One Eyed Ghoul. After being released from the hospital, she went straight to Anteiku for help, she was well aware of the fact she was a half ghoul, but she couldn't bring herself to kill a human being. Being able to adapt quickly to the lifestyle of a ghoul's, she learned how to control her kagunes. After a year of training, Aogiri Tree kidnaps her, because of her kagunes, and tortures her to the point where her hair turned white, due to the traumatic experience, and her to develop insomnia and other stress related issues. After returning to Anteiku, she was never the same. A year later, Lillian enrolls into Cross Academy's Day Class. The story should pick up from there.
