Weapon: The Break Gunner- Ares fights with a weapon which has two different forms. The first of which is a battleaxe. As he fights with it, it stores power, which he can later release in a giant burst of energy as he fights. The second form of it is a shotgun which fires bursts of electric Dust as his enemies, and the recoil of it is enough to make him stagger. The bullets can also be modified to do different things, though Ares tends to stick with the use of destructive energy

Semblance: Umbra- Ares has the power to control the shadows around him, warping them to do his bidding. He has to main techniques he came up with to use the shadows. Either the Shadow Binding, where he ties his victims in shadows which they can't escape from, or the shadow spear, where he uses the shadows to pierce his enemies and do damage to them. However, both uses for his power are limited during times when bright lights outshine the shadows around him, and so he doesn't rely on his Semblance all that much.

Powers: Despite his Semblance not always being reliable, Ares has one power which has yet to fail him, that being he's the host of an Ultraman, which helps him in his battles. His form, Ultraman Dyna has three different forms, Flash, Miracle and Strong, all of which have their own powers and abilities meant for different situations. He can only sustain the transformation for three minutes, and once his time runs out, he can't transform again for another 24 hours.

Flash:

The default type of Ultraman Dyna. It's a fairly standard form, giving an even distribution of strength, power and speed. It has no real combat perks, but at the same time, it has almost none of the disadvantages, being a fairly simple jack of all stats form. Ares will use this form as a way to test the waters and see which of the other forms he needs to use to win the fight.

Miracle:

This form of Ultraman Dyna, is one of the specialized forms he has access to. Miracle focuses a lot more on speed, and energy projection. It has a variety of energy based attacks, and its speed is off the charts, able to move so fast it's invisible to the naked eye, and sometimes even appears to be in multiple places at once due to the speed. Though, this form doesn't have as much strength or durability as the others, meaning this form is used for fights which Ares needs to resolve quickly or if he needs to pursue his enemies

Strong:

This form is meant for physical combat. In this form, the strength and durability amplify many times over, making it almost unbeatable in a contest of strength. The users battle instincts also increase immensely and they can use many forms of combat. This form is slower than the others however, and has much more straightforward and less varied abilities. The main use of this form is simple fights, if neither opponent has any hidden abilities

Backstory: Ares was born into the Branwen Tribe, on the same day Yang Xiao Long was born. While Raven was with her husband and her family, the tribe was left without a leader. In her absence, the Lobo family had been the leaders of the tribe, and Ares was to be the heir to it in time. From a young age, he was taught combat, fighting strategy and the art of war.

When Raven returned, she took over leadership of the tribe, and began to oversee the training of Ares herself. In time, she became attached to Ares, and fond of him, while Ares became one of the strongest fighters in the tribe, second , only behind Raven. Ares became one of their warriors, and he went on missions for them, getting rid of high value targets, which is how he earned the nickname 'Chaser.'

Eventually, Raven revealed to Ares one of the secrets of the tribe: The Spring Maiden was always the leader of the tribe, which happened to be Raven. The other secret of the tribe was that the second strongest was to become the host of Ultraman, and so Ares happily accepted, becoming the host of Ultraman Dyna.

With this, Raven sent Ares to Beacon Academy. She said it had been to infiltrate the school, but she wanted him to have his dream of becoming a legitimate hunter on his own terms, and she also wanted him to keep an eye on Yang, and make sure she was safe, her motherly instincts never truly leaving her.
