Challenger Fist is a gauntlet made to help Hei channel his Semblance, which on it's own proved difficult for Hei to use at first. The gauntlet also amplifies his physical strength and has a shotgun built into it.

Semblance: Time Manipulation- Hei has control over most aspects of time. He is able to see all the different possible timelines, as well as see the past and future. He has the ability to return things to a previous state of being, or he can turn them into what they will be in the future. Hei can also create time duplicates of himself, these duplicates being versions of himself from different timelines. Perhaps his greatest ability is the ability to reverse time. However, this ability takes a lot out of him, and can only be used once or twice before he tires.

Backstory: Hei was Ozpin's son, born to him in a future in which Salem had won the fight to take over Remnant. He grew up learning to make his way around the fractured, world avoiding the patrols lead by Mercury and Emerald. In the district he lived in, Cinder had been hunting for Ozpin and himself for years. Hei figured out what his Semblance at a young age, and tried to use it to stand up to Salem and Cinder. However, he ended up in over his head and it resulted in the death of Ozpin. Desperate, Hei used his powers to escape the life or death situation. Hei then made it to one of the few libraries which hadn't been destroyed, which actually had books of the past. The librarian there turned out to be an aged Blake Belladonna who had been the one member of Team RWBY to survive into the future. When she learned that Hei had the ability to travel back in time, Blake began to instruct him on the chain of events which ended with Salem winning. Once Hei knew what he needed to do to prevent this future, he traveled back in time and had his gauntlet constructed for him. He then went back in time to start preventing this future, starting with what Blake had advised, which was preventing the death of Summer Rose. however, once he did this, he became a victim of a time paradox. He was summoned before the guardians of time to answer for his violation of of the rule's of time, and was found guilty. Because of this, he was forced to travel the time-stream and uses his powers to restore paradoxes along the way, and he corrected impurities in the time-stream. Because of this, it became impossible for him to measure his true age. Once he had finished correcting the time-stream, he was allowed to remain in the present, alongside RWBY and JNPR, and attend Beacon Academy. On top of that, due to his status as a living paradox, it's impossible for him to be killed until the paradox fixes itself naturally
