Chapter 2
Chapter 2
Third Person POV
*Olympian Throne Room*
"You dare!" Zeus roared, rising from his throne, only to be knocked back by a burst of water.
"Oh sit down Zeus, it's my time to shine." Poseidon said, rising from his throne and raising his trident high into the air.
"Percy! My son, please step forward." Poseidon called, indicating the spot next to a still flushed Hazel.
"Yes father." Percy replied, stepping next to his friend.
"For your efforts in the two wars, and to show our gratitude for all that you have done, I call upon the Moirai to grant you your gift!" Poseidon declared, slamming his trident into the throne room floor and causing a large blast of power to come out, once again knocking most of the demigods to the ground, before a giant flash filled the center of the room.
As the flash died down, we were greeted with the presence of, as Percy would call them, three withered old hags, who seemed to be having a mental conversation with Pluto before they finally submitted. And started having a mental conversation with poseidon.
After a couple of minutes of Poseidon and the three old women staring at each other, the fates turn as one towards the current star of the show.
"Persues Jackson!" The fates started, starting at the son of Poseidon. "For your efforts in the two wars, should you accept, we grant you the domains of water, ear.." the fates suddenly stopped, as their attention seemed to be caught by something happening far away from the throne room. Something that caught the attention of Hermes as well.
"No.." Hermes gasped, before he attempted to flash from his throne, only to be thrown against the doors, which didn't budge.
"You can not interfere, messenger." The fates declared, looking down on the messenger god.
"To hell I can't! You already refused to let me stop my son from fading! You won't stop me from saving his chosen heir!" Hermes yelled, unshed tears glistening in his eyes.
"It was Pan's time to go, and it is time for the new lord of wild to go as well." The fates corus, drawing a cry of shock from Percy.
"What do you mean time for the new lord of the wild to go? Grover can't be dying, I would know!" Percy asked, before he tried to mist travel out of the room, only to end up in a heap like Hermes.
"We mean what we said, and the reason you didn't know, is we removed your empathy link, for it was not your destiny to die with him." The fates said, looking at the irritated son of Poseidon, before they turned back to a distressed Hermes.
"Please, he holds all that remains of my son!" Hermes pleaded, not wanting to lose what was left of his son.
"Grover was not the only chosen heir." The fates declared, looking at Hermes with what seemed to be slight pity. "Due to the loss of the other blessing receivers, Percy, should he accept, would also receive the domain of wild and Nature. Which would make him the god of water, earth, wild and nature, and the new lord of the wild." The fates continued, looking towards Percy. "He shall receive all of the divine essence of Pan that was granted in his passing, and will be a true heir of the wild."
Percy straightened, knowing what he needed to do, before he nodded his head, accepting the gift.
"And so it shall be!" the Fates declared, before they blasted Percy will a large beam of energy. "All hail Perseus, the one whose domains need not be said, considering we have already said them like a thousand times! Hail! Hail!"
At this, most of the occupants in the room let out a small chuckle, Zeus being one of the only ones not to, and being the one who just continued to glare at Percy.
"How powerful is the punk?" Ares asked, looking at Percy with contempt.
"He is currently on the same level as the elder Olympians. But this shall change, after Hades/Pluto gives his ultimatum." The fates said, before vanishing and leaving everyone confused with this statement.
"What did they mean by an ultimatum?" Hazel asked, looking at her father.
"Well obviously they meant that I have an ultimatum." Pluto replied, before shifting to the form of Hades.
"Well no dip." Percy replied, growing to his godly height and shifting his appearance to that of an eighteen year old staring at Hades. "But what is the ultimatum?"
"Oh it is a very simple ultimatum." Hades, replied, casting a look towards Poseidon.
"You are absolutely no help." Hazel said, also growing to her godly height, and shifting her age to match Percy's.
"No no, he is, it's a very simple ultimatum." Poseidon said, nodding along to something that Hades was saying.
"Care to share?"
"Not particularly, I think I will let Hades." Poseidon said, looking at the other Olympians and seeing them nod in agreement.
"Oh you are absolutely no help." Percy said, turning towards the king of the underworld. "Will you tell me and Hazel what the fetch you are on about?"
"An ul..." Hades started, before being interrupted.
"And don't you dare say an ultimatum." Hazel said, pointing threateningly at her father.
Hades glared softly at his daughter, before he sighed in defeat. "Fine, well it's very simple."
"Yes, you have said that." Hazel said, rolling her eyes.
"And everyone agrees to it, Zeus is fine claiming it doesn't really affect him." Hades continued.
"Oh just spit it out!" Percy yelled, glaring at Hades.
"I proposed an arranged marriage." Hades said, looking between the two new immortals. "A marriage between the two of you."
"Wait what?!?" Percy and Hazel yelled.
