where you are planted,
even if the sun doesn't shine bright.

even if you aren't watered,
and you will be admired
day and night.

just when you feel like you have to;
because you aren't a decoy.

because you are beautiful
and because flowers bloom
for their own joy.

──────  this poem is a personal favourite of mine and probably one of the fastest poems that i've ever written. i remember i wrote it in less than two minutes or so back in early 2020. it was one of those spontaneous bursts of inspiration that come instantly and sadly, leave too quickly.
