"I'm lost and I'm found but it's torture being in love"
Y/N's POV:
We get out of the car. "Here?" I ask. It's a food truck...
"You hungry or not?" Hank asks. I roll my eyes. "Sure" I say. We go up to the counter and order food, Connor trailing behind us.
We get our food and go over to a table.
"Don't leave this thing here!" The man says. "Don't worry, it follows me everywhere" Hank says. Connor walks over to us. "See?" Hank says.
I laugh softly and look down.
Connor stands beside me, it starts to lightly rain.
"Y/N? Can I get a clear explanation on why you didn't want me to cross the highway?" Connor asks. I look over to him.
"You could've died, it's only because you lose a bit of memory when you die and we can't have you losing part of this investigation" I say.
Connor looked down, he seemed to have wanted a different answer. I only told him the truth.
"That is true" he bluntly responded as he looked down at me.
"Something up, Connor?" Hank asks. "N-no Lieutenant, nothing" Connor says. What did he expect me to say? That I actually cared for him?
...
He may have the looks, but he's a machine. I'll only care for a living being that can actually show me love...
Hanks phone rings. "I'll be right back" Hank picks up the phone and walks away.
"Is there anything you'd like to know about me Y/N?" Connor asks. "Yes actually, I'd like to know why you care so much? I've never had an Android ask so many questions" I say. "That's how I'm designed, I am a detective after all" Connor says.
That doesn't explain why he cares so much, but it answers why he asks so many questions.
"What about me? Do you know everything about me?" I ask.
"Of course, you graduated top of all your classes and became one of the top ranked police investigators in all of Canada, I know you've also lost your parents as well as friends and family, and I know you struggle with mental health problems because of those personal issues" Connor says.
"You know more than anyone in my life has" I say. "I guess I can be a bit of a problem" I add.
"Well, adapting to human unpredictability is one of my features" Connor winks.
I smile when he winks. He's adorable.
Connor's POV:
I winked at her and she smiled. Her heart beat increased when I did that. She also seems more happy...
As long as she's smiling everyday, that's all that matters to me. I only want her to be happy.
Y/N's POV:
Hank comes back, finally.
"There's another lead not to far from here, you wanna check it out?" Hank asks. "Let's go" I say. Connor nods.
Connor is the first to take off as I walk beside Hank.
"Did he say anything weird?" Hank asks. "No, nothing at all, just some review on deviants" I say. "Good, hey, if he ever says something strange to you, just slap him" Hank says.
I laugh. "Of course Hank" I smile. He smiles slightly and gets in the car, Connor is already in the back.
I get in the passenger seat and relax.
I look in the mirror, Connor is seating neatly with his hands resting on his legs.
What a weirdo, he's the only one I know I can trust, and he's an Android. Of course I can trust Hank too, but Connor knows more about me.
The closest person I've ever had in life, and it's an Android.
(Sorry for the short chapter, exams started today and this was the best I could get out)
