"WHY ARE YOU hiding away?" Natasha asked. Y/n turned around to look at her only to go back to the dishes. "Why are you ignoring me?". "I'm not ignoring you, Nat. I just decided to not answering what you're asking" Natasha lifted her eyebrow and walked towards the girl.
"Kind of the same thing" She chuckled. "How's Wanda?". Y/n didn't answer what Natasha wanted to hear. "You already know. No need to ask me" She was about to pull one dish away for it to dry but Natasha stopped her. "Why are you acting like this?".
"How am I acting?" She rise her eyebrow. "Steve says she's okay, so she is". "You haven't check on her". "And have you?" She asked sassily. "You haven't been here in about a month, and you are trying to lecture me about being there for Wanda?. Why should I care for her? I'm just her sister-in-law. You're her cousin".
Natasha let go of her arm and took a few steps back. Y/n sighed knowing she had hurt the red-headed, but not giving it a lot of thought. "What are you doing here, Nat?". "I came to visit her. And to know why are you not visiting her. She's your friend". "It's complicated". "Then uncomplicated it". Y/n sighed and looked at Natasha.
"I... I haven't... I don't feel the same way about Wanda as I did in the beginning. That's it. She's my sister-in-law. Not my sister, not my friend" She turned back to the kitchen and started to cook lunch. "I don't like her". "Why? You used to like being with her. And I'm thinking you used to like the person you were with her," She said moving next to Y/n and started to cook with her.
"I don't anymore" Y/n didn't truly remember her time with Wanda. She didn't remember what happened after seeing her for the first time or the last time she was with her and the activities they made. But she remembered that all the feelings she had for the girl were gone.
"Are you going to help me cook or still going to talk about her?" She asked. "I thought you couldn't cook". "I don't like to. Never say I couldn't". Natasha stood in silence at the hard tone Y/n had that morning. She helped her cook the rest of the meal and place it on the table once it was done.
She walked away from Y/n and walked up the stairs. She knocked on Wanda's room and waited for the consent to enter. "Lunch is served" She announced. She entered the room and sat down next to the girl that was cuddling with her brother.
"How are you feeling?" She asked taking Wanda's hand. "I've been better" She confessed. "But I'm good" She smiled. "Well then. Let's go" She stood up and helped Wanda do the same with Pietro's help. "You have her?" Natasha nodded. Pietro kissed his sister's head and walked out of the room.
Natasha walked with Wanda towards her wardrobe so the girl could choose a dress. "I don't want to wear any of those" She exclaimed before sighing. "What do you want to wear? I can ask Y/n to let you borrow one of her dresses". "I don't want to wear anything" She growled. "I'm good like this".
"You can't wear that" Nat giggled. She looked around her wardrobe until she found a nice dress with short sleeves that wouldn't heat her up. She showed it to the brunette with a smile and helped her put it on. "Come on"

Y/N HIT THE WALL of the barn as tears ran down her cheeks. Her head was hurting as much as her family claimed Wanda's was, but not being a 'guest' she couldn't really talk about it. Or tell her family, since her mother would think she was sick and crazy and therefore she was dying soon.
Every day was more confusing than the day before, and the confusion was killing her. She was tired of not knowing what she was supposed to do, or what she was supposed to know. She was tired to feel different from the people around her. She was tired of not being herself.
Nobody seemed to notice. Her mood changes were normal for her family and the lack of herself was not bothering them. Not even Wanda. But how could it bother her if every time they were together Y/n was herself? With or without sex Y/n was free to be who she was when she was around Wanda.
And as much as she wanted to be with her she couldn't do it. She wasn't brave enough to go to Wanda and ask her to leave. To leave with her. That's all she wanted. Be happy with the person that made her happy. But there was no alternative universe in which Wanda would leave Steve just to be with her.
Tears accumulated in her eyes as she let herself drop to the floor holding her hand up. She pressed her dress between her legs and used her sane hand to rip a part of it. She held one end with her teeth and tied the other end around her wrist.
She had to find Steve. He was going to help her, he had to help her. Because if he didn't she had no other clue of what to do or who to fix it. And not just her hand. "Knock knock" She quickly turned around when Steve knocked on the barn's door. "Oh god, Y/n are you okay?" He kneeled beside her and took her hand into his.
"I'm okay" She whispered. Steve looked at her before shaking his head. He helped her up and guided her toward the house. She sat down in one of the kitchen chairs as he looked around for the first aid kit. Once he found it he took it towards the closest table and tried to fix her hand.
"That's not how you're supposed to do it" Y/n whispered cleaning the tears from her face. "I don't know how you're supposed to do it". He said trying to place the bandage on top of her wound. "Let me do it". She said gently pushing his hand away.
She cleaned the wound of the broken glass and shortly after showed him how to close it. Y/n looked at him with tears in her eyes but softly smiled. Steve closed the wound and give the bandage a few rounds around her arm for it to be completely covered. "How'd you do it?" Y/n didn't answer. Instead, she just looked away.
She couldn't think of how to tell her brother that she was going insane. She had a feeling that the last time she was sick her mother had done something to her. She wasn't supposed to know her guest, but something was lacking in her life. Apparently, she was the only one that noticed the weird things that were happening around Roger's house.
Steve sighed and hugged her tightly close to his chest. He left a few kisses on her forehead before she pushed away. "I'll be right back". She moved away and walked out of the room as the courage build up inside of her. She didn't give it much thought in case she changed her mind. She walked straight to her room. She didn't even knock.
Wanda looked up from the book she was reading as Y/n entered her room. She was surprised at her visit since the girl hadn't spent too much time with her since she was sick, but she was glad that Y/n finally stopped by. Even for a few minutes.
Y/n got filled with a lot of anger and hate the moment she saw the girl in the bed. The same feelings she had every time she saw her, but this time was different. This time she had enough courage to overcome her hate, and she was nervous enough to ignore her anger.
"Is something wrong?" Wanda asked with her accent slipping through. Y/n smiled when the sound enter her ears and shook her head as she closed the door. Wanda left the book on the bed and walked toward the girl who hugged her.
Surprised, she hugged her back. When they broke off the hug Y/n didn't speak at all. She didn't leave the room either, she just held her gaze on a spot in the room. Wanda walked back to the bed confused and sat waiting for Y/n to talk.
Y/n imitated her action as Wanda looked around the room. The oldest Roger's girl smiled as millions of words came to her mind on how could she describe the girl, and in all of them, she would confess how deeply in love she thought she was with Wanda.
"I love you".
