AS MORNING SETTLED in, Wanda had decided to take a walk around the house. It was bigger than their house on Sokovia, and the land was larger. She looked around and softly smile when she realized she was completely alone. She started to run towards the end of the property where the grass tall enough to hide her and softly dropped to the floor.

Her eyes followed Y/n as the girl struggled to take the buckets back home without dropping the water. She softly put them down to clean the sweat out of her forehead as close by Wanda remained hidden from Y/n under the tall grass. She squeezed the lawn under her and bit her lip as the girl took the buckets again and starting to walk back home.

Wanda breathes heavily as the grass under her began to loosen up. After a few minutes of holding her tights together, Wanda was able to stand up and slowly walk back home as she cleaned the sweat that formed in her forehead.

Y/n left the buckets close to the fire and took the dough to start kneading it. For the first time since Y/n had memory, she was doing something her mother had to force her to do. And she was doing it because it was the only place nobody would look for her. They would let her think. Something she didn't get to do a lot.

Wanda entered the house and quietly moved around the house looking for the girl that had stolen her breath. She moved towards the kitchen as the wood gently tapped underneath her weight.

She got closer to the girl as she paid attention to her movements. "That's not how you are supposed to prepare it". Y/n softly jumped as she heard the girl behind her. "Excuse me, I didn't mean to frighten you".

"It's all right" She smiled and went back to the bread. "Am I doing it the wrong way?" She asked before softly chuckling. "Pardon me, I have never prepared it before". "Let me help" Wanda smiled and rolled up her sleeves taking the rolling pin. "Can you teach me?".

Wanda smiled and indicated to her how to start. Y/n followed her instructions and kneaded the dough the right way. Wanda softly giggled as Y/n let the tip of her tongue press against the side of her lips in a sigh of concentration. She wasn't sure of where she knew the girl or how she knew her name, but one thing she knew and was that she cared deeply for her.

She indicated to put the bread in the oven as she slightly moved out of the way. Y/n closed the door and walked away from it. "So... How did you know my name?" She asked. "Oh, I... I heard it. From your brother". "You've met Steve already?". "Yeah. He seems well". "Well be aware. He likes to eat cookies before bed, and the crumbs go everywhere" She exclaimed using her hands to exaggerate her words.

Wanda chuckled as she pointed at the oven. Y/n quickly took it out and place the tray on the counter, blowing as if that would do anything to calm the burning of her hand. "I'm sure I can take a few crumbs around. I've been dealing with more" She smiled.

"Your brother, right? He's sick" Wanda nodded. "Not mine to take care of anymore" She softly said. "Of course" Wanda wandered around the kitchen as Y/n cut the bread. Concentrating on her task, she didn't notice Wanda staring at her. "We haven't met before, have we?" Y/n asked looking at her before chuckling. "Pardon me, that idea might seem -". "I believe we have" Wanda interrupted turning to look at her. "But I wouldn't recall from where".

Y/n giggled. "Perhaps we have forgotten". "Perhaps we have" She nodded. Y/n walked towards the buckets and pulled them up from the floor to walk around the kitchen to situate them where it was needed.

Wanda looked at her dancing around the kitchen as the butterflies in her stomach started to dance around. Malevolent thoughts ran through her mind, her thighs closed together and she gasped and bit her lip.

It was unexplainable to her what she felt around Y/n. She didn't remember her or remember knowing her, but Wanda couldn't deny that she was attracted to her. In a way that she couldn't understand.

AFTER BREAKFAST Y/n was asked to accompany the Maximoffs to their new shop. Iryna led the way with Pietro and Natasha, leaving Wanda and Y/n behind. The three of them carried small baskets as they moved around town.

Y/n quickly discovered that Wanda liked to wander. It was something that she tended to do a lot, even if she didn't know that. Iryna opened the door of the shop and indicated to the gentleman that was helping them where to put the boxes.

"I've found the most wonderful shop, you said" Pietro exclaimed looking around the darkroom. "I saw it in the daylight" She replied. "An enthralling arcade?". "But it was enthralling. Wanda, let the young man pass. He has work to do" Y/n let the basket she was carrying on the table and turned around to look at the girl.

She didn't respond to her mother but instead, she moved away. Y/n slowly walked towards her as it got to her attention that Iryna's helper looked at the brunette more than it should. Y/n frowned and took the hand of Wanda pulling her inside the shop as she angrily looked at the man. He had no right to look at her like that. Nobody had.

"It's smaller than you said, mother". "I adore this house. It's our new home". "Home, mother?". Iryna turned around to look at the younger girl before sighing. "Darling, where is your head?" She softly chuckled. "We can't live with your new family dear. Of course, I'll need you to come around and help with the shop but this is no longer your house dear". She said turning around once more.

Wanda did not smile nor made a face. "It's dark". "Oh, well, be fair. It's late. When the sun streams in, it's lovely". "It's mean". "Oh, don't be silly". Y/n let go of her hand as Wanda walked towards the stairs. Natasha took Y/n's attention away from Wanda and softly smiled at her. The Roger girl smiled back and walked with Nat to help her get what she needed, even tho she turned her head a few times to look at the brunette she found so fascinating.

"Flowers on the windowsills and wallpaper" Iryna exclaimed as Wanda walked down the stairs. "Curtains, of course. Let me show you the upstairs" Iryna said kissing Pietro's cheek. "Come, Natasha". The red-headed did what she was told and walked up the stairs as she followed her husband.

Wanda walked towards the window and with a soft sigh she sat down. "Are you okay?" Y/n asked slowly walking towards the girl. Wanda didn't answer as her mind was miles away from the place. "Wanda?" She gently put her hand on Wanda's shoulder and shook her to make her come back.

She softly gasped and turned around to look at her. "What was that?". Y/n sighed. "I get it. You come from far away and are forced to live with a new family... It's hard" She smiled as she sat next to her and lower her hand to take Wanda's. The girl took it and looked at Y/n. "But your family is still there for you. I'll be there for you".

"Why?" Wanda asked confused. "You barely know me". "I... I know that you would be there for me too" She smiled. "I know you don't know us, but I promise you we are fun" She chuckled. "I'm the funniest one" Wanda softly giggled as she stood up and started to walk towards the second floor with Y/n shortly following her.

"However, I'm afraid to tell you that you are not completely right". "What do you mean?" Y/n asked confused. "I do know your family. And I know you" She smiled.
