The feeling of being lied to all your life is the worst feeling

Eirene's POV
"This place is freaking amazing, everything is so beautiful, it feels like I belong here, everything feels so.."

"Free?" Natura asks

"Yeah, I feel so free, the flowers here are incomparable to the ones in my flower shop everything looks so much better here, they have this aura to them" I tell her admiring the environment as I'm waking with her

"You also opened a flower shop, you're too much like your mother" she says smiling

I try to catch up with her, and when I finally do I study her face. I read in fairytales that fairies never really age, but she looks middle age, not too young not too old, if I didn't know that she was a magical creature, I'd have thought she was in her mid or late thirties. There was a sort of youthfulness on her face but also a sort of old age evident, it made me wonder how old she really was

"You're staring child" she says which makes me look away from her embarrassed

"Don't worry, I'm baffled by my face as well, I mean how can one be so old and look so young" she says in a lighthearted voice that makes me know she's pulling my legs

"Where are we going exactly ma'am" I ask her

"I was wondering when you were going to ask, I thought you'd just keep admiring the kingdom" she says smiling softly at me

"We're going to get your memories back, then everything will make sense" she tells me again then resumes walking

I stop walking as I digest that information

Get my memories back?, what does she mean by that

"Your highness it's so good to see you again" a young beautiful lady walks up to me and bows

I look at her confused "Im sorry do I know you?"

"Leila don't rush her, resume your post immediately" Illusio tells her sternly

She bows in apology and walks away her head downcast

"You didn't have to sound so mean" I tell her

"We can't have anything or anyone triggering your memory before mother returns them unless your memory will be all jumbled up which will just complicate things"

"Knows what?! And why can't my memory be triggered, the queen also said something about getting my memory back, what's that supposed to mean??!"

Illusio sighs heavily as if frustrated, "how about not ask so many questions and just trust us, it's not like we're going to kill you or something"

"How can I just trust you, you're telling me you that magically went from a 80 year old woman to someone old enough to be my sister is my aunt to a mother I thought was dead all my life, and a 30 something old looking lady is my grandmother, and now I'm some magical kingdom and I'm seeing people with wings flying about and bowing to greet me like royalty, I'm sorry but that's enough to put me on guard"

"Your fears are well understood child" Natura speaks again walking towards us

"If you feel uncomfortable about how fast everything is going, you can rest and take your time to explore and study more about your powers, all 4 of them, and whenever you're ready, I'll restore your memories" she says putting a hand on Illusio's shoulders as if to calm her down

I look at her suspiciously then ask "Am I trapped here"

Natura's eyes widen in first shock then pain, "Do you think we're keeping you trapped here, why would I do that to my own granddaughter"

I begin to feel bad for some reason but what could I do, I didn't trust any of them no matter how much their kingdom was enticing me

"I'm sorry to insinuate things, I'm just really trying to wrap my head around everything that's happened" I tell her my gaze on the floor

She sighs and raise my head by my chin "Once you get your memories back everything will make sense, until then have fun, explore the castle but never step foot outside the castle until your memories are back" she tells me smiles and walks away

I watch her retreating figure and I can't help but be envious of how graceful and regal she is, her whole aura exudes royalty

"Come on niece let me take you to your room, I hope you'll still like the way you designed it"
Illusio tells me excitedly and she grabs my hand and drags me towards the castle

Validus's POV
I'm sitting in the living room of Amare and Anciens house and I'm extremely nervous

Ever since my mum told me a bit about her fairy life and that tiny bit of information I had finally summoned up the courage to come here to ask them about who their parents were and if they were truly who my mother said they were

But I'm conflicted, here I am about to question one of the most legendary being in the history of us magical creatures about his lineage

Anciens voice brings me out of my conflicted thoughts as I stand up and immediately bow to him

"Gosh are you ever going to stop that boy, you're the official royal here" he says smiling at me and brings me into a hug

He always does this and it always took me by surprise, he must've been a very friendly tribrid when he was younger

"You're always ever so stiff, loosen up, you've been guarding us for almost 2 months now and you're still so rigid, I hate rigidity" he says looking at me intensely as if to intimidate me to loosen up

I smile at him and his intense face disappears in the blink of an eye

"Soo, if I remember correctly my wife pretty much chased you away from watching over us like a hawk cause she thought you were whiling away your youth, why are you back here again, she told you to stay away for at least a month and it's just been 3 weeks" he says sitting on a couch and twirling his fingers

I clear my throat as the nervousness returns

Should I just go ahead and ask I'm sure he won't be offended if I ask him "ohh great Tribrid i hear you're the son of the fearful and extremely evil vampire king Timor and your wife is a fairy who is supposed to be banished and whatnot, is it all true

"Validus what are you doing here child"

I snap out of my thoughts on hearing Amare's voice

I blush furiously and bow to her as she goes to sit near her husband

"Did my husband guilt trip you into staying with us, he was planning on doing that to make me fume for fun" she says as she rests her head on his laps

I look at them envious, they were so in love with each other, and no matter how many times Ancien got on her nerves he always looked at her like she was the most beautiful thing he had ever laid his eyes upon. It made me wonder whether this was why my mother had feelings for him. And for some reason it made me think of Eirene

"Can I ask how you guys met" I say absentmindedly

Amare sits up as if surprised by my question but answer nonetheless

"Actually we have your mother to thank for us meeting, her mother was somewhat of in a business relationship with his father and well one day I followed her curiously when she snuck out to watch him howl under a full moon, he sensed me, thought I was an enemy and attacked me but then our eyes met in the struggle and well the rest was history" she says snuggling into his embrace again

"I mean Amare has always been smitten by my good looks, heck she almost went up against my father when he refused our Union" he says jokingly but with a bit of bitterness in his tone

Aha he has mentioned his father, now should be the perfect time

"I guess that's why you're here then, I thought I heard wrong but you're thinking about it again, you know about our parents" he says half heartedly

Fear grips me, I had forgotten he could hear thoughts

"Oh dear, your mum must have told you" Amare says looking at her husband sternly as if warning him not to make a scene

"Um, yes....I'm really sorry.... I didn't believe it at first but my mother has no reason to lie...and I was curious....I didn't know how to ask" I say stammering heavily wondering why I'm so embarrassed

Ancien murmurs, stands up and walks away in what seems like a little bit of anger

"Don't mind him, he's not upset at you, he just gets annoyed whenever he thinks of his father, he hates him, I mean who doesn't, but his hatred for his father is next level" Amare says patting the space beside her for me to sit

I shuffle over to her and take my seat slowly. She laughs at my actions and rests her back before beginning
"Yes I'm the daughter of the fairy queen and yes he's the first Vampire Kings son, not too many people know about his identity and even fewer people know about mine, your mother swore an oath not to reveal mine, I don't know what she's thinking, she's a witch now so I guess she could care less about the consequences"

"My mother doesn't seem to like you very much" I say jokingly but she just smiles as if reminiscing something

"Your mother always thought I was a proud stuck up princess who got everything handed to me on a gold platter, I can see why she wouldn't like me" she says laughing

"Were you surprised?" She suddenly asks "About i and my husbands identity, were you surprised?" She adds

I hesitate to answer and she laughs lightly

"Don't worry, I hope you continue to see us as the regular friendly banished rulers of Regnum or the fun and close aunt and uncle" she says jokingly but with a pleading voice

I nod my head in response. I get why she's saying that, ever since I came here they'd been trying to make me feel comfortable and not pressured around them because of what their status was before and now that I know who they are, all their hard work was going down the drain

Just then I remember about the original reasons I had wanted to come here before my mother got me sidetracked, Eirene!!

"Ma'am, is it possible for a fairy to have 4 scents"

She sits up with a serious look on her face

"You mean a fairy who has 3 other scents, it hasn't been heard of, we've heard of uncommon tribrids and hybrids but no magical creature has ever had 4 scents before, it hasn't ever been heard of in history" she says

I fidget contemplating whether I should tell her about Eirene or not.

"It's just I met this girl, she had a fairy scent and 3 other scent, but she didn't have the faintest idea of who she was or that she was part fairy, and worse her fairy scent was so strong it doused the other scents, I suspect it's vampire and werewolf but the last one is unrecognizable, even to me" I hurriedly say

I notice her face as it takes in all the information I had just rambled out

"This girl, where is she now?"

"That's the thing, no one knows, she straight up vanished after my sister told my father about her and he sent men to go and get her, her house was burned and all the soldiers sent were killed"

"It's possible she's gone to fairly land"Amare says now visibly relaxing, there was another expression on her face but I couldn't quite pin what it was

"How do you know"

"I mean fairy instincts sometimes kick in, and she must've felt extremely threatened by the guards and went to find refuge in Fairy land until the hunt for her dies down"

I think about it and while it does make a little sense it feels like she's trying to get my mind of the subject

"But I'm intrigued, if only you could find her I'd love for you to sneak her over here so I could examine her and teach her a few basic survival skills or as I like to call it FAIRY 101" she says amusingly

I laugh at her little joke and she smiles before abruptly standing up "Now, leave Validus I already told you not to resume your babysitting duties till a months time, LEAVEE" she says smiling at me and walking away

I conjure up a portal after she's gone and walk through it to be back in my room in the palace in Regnum

Raelynn's POV

"Are none of you guys even worried about her?, I mean she was our friend before all this mess happened" I scream at the group of girls gathered around

"We'll if we're being honest Rae Rae she was more of your friend than any of us" Leona says

This was the 5th time I had gathered the girls together so we could go on a Search Hunt for Eirene but none of them seemed interested in doing so

"Are you guys fr, we were all a small little group throughout, whether or not she was closer to me than the rest of you doesn't mean you weren't her friends and thus doesn't mean we shouldn't look for-" I begin but am cut off

"But we really weren't, honestly it was really only you Leona and Furta she had conversations with, the rest of us she hasn't spoken to up to 10 times and we've known her for a really long time" Delilah says half hearte as the rest of the girls including Leona nod their heads in agreement

"I can't believe the lot of you, even if you're not friends aren't you worried about her as a human, it's been almost a month now and she hasn't been found"

"She's technically in the wanted list for killing those royal guards so it would make sense why she hasn't returned, perhaps she knows she has fucked up" Leona says bitterly and bursts into laughter which the others join in on happily

It dawns on me now why Eirene never really bothered to befriend them that much, they were all horrible people, I was beginning to wonder how I had ended up with them in the first place

"All of you disgust me right now" I say bitterly hoping they'd feel a tiny bit of guilt and change their minds

"Stop trying to recruit them for your personal mission, they aren't interested and I personally wish that girl will never come back" Lillian's says emerging out of nowhere

All the girls nod in agreement with her and I scoff. Lilliana has been bitter about Raelynn ever since Validus rejected her for trying to kiss him.

She had gotten in trouble with her mates parents and hers as well and worse her wedding was almost called off, and for some reason she thought Eirene was the cause

"You know you trying to help her subtly means you're aiding a criminal right" she says harshly

I roll my eyes in disgust. " Whatever, Im going to look for my friend whether you like it or not" then storm out of the house slamming the door behind me

I walk in silence all the way to her flower shop. I probably won't find her there but seeing as she absolutely loves flowers I want to hope that maybe there's a slight possibility she'd be there.

I see her shop in view and see that a notice has been put in front from the rulers. 'SHUT DOWN, THIS PROPERTY HAS BECOME GOVERNMENT PROPERTY AND TRESPASSERS WILL BE PROSECUTED'

I scoff in annoyance "What on earth, now this is just bullying, she freaking got a permit and built this place herself, how annoying" I spit out

"I know right" a voice from behind says which startles me

I turn behind to find a lady wearing sunglasses with scarlet red looking hair. She's staring at the flower shop and I'm staring at her, she feels familiar somehow

"So you're not going to give your best friend a hug?" She suddenly says and removes her glasses and those silver eyes look at me

"No way, is it really you??" I say almost close to tears as Eirene opens her arms out and I engulf her in a big hug

"Well at least now I know someone missed me" she says laughing at my ugly cry face as we hug

I remove myself and take her in again, she looks different somehow, she has a regal feel now, and her hair is a different shade of red, it used to be sort of a dark crimson red and now it's like Scarlett red and her eyes were glossy like silver now and her fairy scent was extremely strong with a strong vampire and faint werewolf scent

"Oh my gosh, you're part vampire part werewolf and part fairy!!!! That's so freaking cool" I say almost screaming which gathers attention from a few people

"Raelynn oh my gosh you do know people can't recognize me right, you're gathering too much attention" she says looking at me

"I've missed you, I've been worried about you, where on earth have you been, the king is kind of after you and they've kind of made you this wanted citizen so everyone is on the lookout for you" I say hurriedly now becoming alert at the fact that she was in the middle of the road where anyone could call the kings guard and arrest her

"Don't worry I'm disguised, people can't recognize me, I chose who I want to recognize me" she says unbothered

"Come let's find somewhere more secluded to talk , you've got some explaining to do" I tell her and drag her hands to my car

"Start talking, where have you been" I ask her immediately she enters my car

"Wow ever so impatient, I can't tell you where I've been but I can say that I met my aunt and real grandmother and I found out my parents are alive"

"I guess that means you really are related to the fairy queen"

"I'm her granddaughter"

"What?? The fairy queen already had daughters????, our history books mention nothing of the sort"

"Fairies are very secretive people, they'd do all they can to keep their identities hidden especially if it means it'll threaten their safety"

"So you've been hiding?, why do you look a little bit different"

"Ahh it's a long story but it happened cause I unlocked my wings, I've been practicing fairy magic and I learnt how to unlock my fairy form, I snuck out here to see you and to find Validus"

My eyes widen as she mentions his name

"You still want to see him? Why?"

"He's the key to finding my parents, my aunt says he's met them but won't tell me how she knows, she doesn't know I came back to look for him as well, I had told her to let me come see you cause I just vanished without an explanation and I knew you'd be worried"

"You're damn right I was" I say snapping back at her and she laughs

I smile it's been almost a month since she went missing, she looks sort of more calmer now and radiant

"I don't know if this information is relevant but Validus has been going head to head with his father over how he handled your discovery, everyone thinks he's unnecessarily smitten with you" I tell her eyeing her and anticipating her reaction

And right on cue she blushes furiously "He..he shouldn't do that, from what I've learnt in the short time about fairies we're sort of dangerous to vampires, his fathers concerns are well placed"

I grab her into a tight hug murmuring "You're too sweet for your own good"

She taps my head and I recoil glaring at her which makes her laugh. Just then her necklace begins to glow "Its time for me to go, please pass this message to Validus, tell him I really want to meet him again and if he feels the same he should meet me in the Enchanted Forest" she says hurriedly then pulls me into a hug

"Tell no one you saw me Raelynn, not a soul other than Validus, I trust you, and I've missed you dearly, I'm glad to see you're alright, see you again, once I've regained my memory, and I've got a huge bone to pick with you for hiding the fact that you're a werewolf from me" she says and disappears in a smoke of flowers

"Trust her to have a grand exit, leaving flowers petals all over my car seat" I say smiling and gathering the petals

I was in high spirits now, my friend was safe

Eirene's POV
"Well how'd it go, being your my stubborn sisters daughter I know you might not have listened to me concerning the boy soo, were you able to see your boyfriend" Illusio says as I appear in my room

"I helped you disobey my extremely frightening mother and got you out of the kingdom contrary to her order so there must at least be some juicy deets" she adds excitedly

"Were you waiting in my room for me to just appear?" I ask her irritated at the fact that she's in my room

"Don't be feisty I'm still your aunt" she says, sighs and then walks out of the room

I collapse to the floor and take deep breaths, teleporting as a fairy sure took a lot from me, but it was weird how I knew it's worked. It didn't feel like this was my first time doing it

I look around my room and it's decorated with all sorts of flowers, lilies, daisies, roses, daffodils, chrysanthemums, dahlias and peonies

These are my favorite flowers, my bed is also decorated with carnations. The walls are painted like a glossy silver and there are red wavy lines all across it. The room is breathtaking.

"It's hard to believe I decorated this room myself" I stand up and walk close to my bed where a frame of me in my fairy form, Queen Natura and Illusio in her fairy form as well, we're all laughing and seem to be in a swell mood

" I look so sure of myself here" I whisper running my finger against the portrait

"You took that picture the first time you had beaten your aunt in a duel, she was so proud of you that day" a voice comes from behind

I turn around and see the young girl Illusio had scolded harshly when I first arrived

"Your highness, I didn't mean to disturb you" she says quickly bowing down her head

"Oh my gosh, please don't bow, and you don't need to call me your highness, I'm not used to it yet" I tell her quickly hoping she'd raise her head, it was making me uncomfortable

"Ohh if it pleases your grace" she says and stands aloof at the door of my room

Trying to make conversation I ask "Leila right, I remember you from when I first arrived"

"Yes your grace, I am she, Leila is honored our first encounter is still fresh in your memory"

"Ah yes, I apologize if my aunt was rude to you back then" I tell her

Leila shakes her head saying "Your grace doesn't need to apologize"

"So Leila, how did you know when that photos was taken" I say pointing to the photo

Her face morphs into some sort of fear before stammering "Your...your...grace....it...it isn't my pos...position to say"

I groan and walk closer to her placing my hands on her shoulders "Don't worry as your princess it's a direct order, tell me, don't be scared"

She fidgets a little probably uncomfortable from how close we were, realizing this I back away from her and she sighs "I know because moments after that Your grace, your memory was taken"

I look at her confused, I already know this information, the queen had told me when I was ready she'd return my memory

"I already know I lost my memories, the fairy queen told me" I tell her but she immediately starts shaking her head

"Your memories were TAKEN your grace, and it wasn't done willingly, they were taken against your will"

Again I'd like to sincerely apologize for taking so long to update, honestly I had written the first half of this chapter a while ago but I got so preoccupied with school work that when I came back I was facing a major writers block. It's been I think close to a month
I have over a 100 reads (Thank you guys so much)
I still can't believe it
When I first noticed it I screamed so loud, should've done a chapter to thank you guys but I didn't want my next chapter to be just a thank you chapter
