Hybrids or Trybrids?

Validus's POV

She's not moving

I had stretched out my hand to shake her and told her my name like 5 mins ago, but she hasn't budged

I take a whiff of her scent properly now, her aura smells like nature, like taking a walk in a beautiful forest filled with all kinds of trees, plants and flowers, she smells amazing, like the first time I met her, her scent made my wolf all giddy inside. I feel him snuggle up to her scent likes it's the most comforting thing in the world, he purrs loudly but I shrug off the warm feeling I'm getting from my wolf

"Um are you okay" I ask finally putting my hand down, which seems to snap her out of her daze as she rushes forward and grabs my hands furiously moving them up and down

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to not shake your hand, I just was so surprised to see you here, how did you find me" she says shyly putting my hand down.

I smile at her and reply "We have a mutual acquaintance, and like I said earlier she told me where I could find you"

She nods at me and goes back to being a statue

"Soo, flowers huh, you must really like flowers" I say trying to make conversation

You must really like flowers, really Validus is that the best you could do, of course she likes flowers you idiot, she owns a flower shop

Her laugh draws me out of my thoughts. "I must really like flowers, that's such an obvious question, I didn't expect you to ask me that" she says in between laughs

I smile at the fact that I'm amusing her but my happiness is cut short when a gust of wind slams her door open. She looks behind me confused for a second before walking towards the door to close it

"Sorry, that was so weird, I don't know why that happened" she says examining the door like she was going to find what magically made it open.

I frown and whisper something which makes my phone ring loudly, she jumps at the sound of it ringing and I bow a little to apologize.

"I'm sorry but I have to take this outside" I tell her and she waves her hand dismissively. "Oh my gosh, it's cool, I have to finish opening up anyway" she says and walks back to the counter.

I smile at her, look around the shop, take out my phone and walk outside where another gust of air hits me again. "I can't believe you followed me here Crystallo" I say putting the phone to my ear to make it seem like I'm talking to someone

And on queue she appears out of thin air, a small smirk on her face. "So, you must really like flowers?, that was the best you could do brother, even I'd do way better" she says to me shaking her head

I pinch the bride of my nose, she was starting to get on my nerves "What are you doing here Crystallo?, and why did you appear like that what if she sees you" I query looking back at the shop, thankfully Eirene wasn't looking at me

"Well, Sergio advised me to keep an eye on you, so I decided to follow you to make sure you don't flirt with red haired over there but now I'm realizing I didn't need to come cause you're doing one hell of a bad job at it, and don't worry only you can see me" she says laughing hard

I roll my eyes as she keeps on laughing. "Look, I don't want you or anyone else following me" I say into the air in case any of her friends are here and watching me in hiding as well.

She groans a fine, and walks away from me. I sigh in relief, put my phone back in my pocket and walk back into the shop.

"Where'd your sister go??" she asks immediately I enter "I could've sworn I saw her, it seemed like you two were talking though you were on the phone" she adds and I freeze

She was able to see my sister, did my sisters spell not work?, no my sisters not a novice, that was an easy thing for her to do. But how could she see her? She's not supposed to, this is unsettling, I wonder what else she can do, I have to find out, but how, perhaps if I spend some time with her

"Umm, she had other things to take care of.....anyway so I know this is kind of forward but would you like to hang out with me later today, let's say this evening" I ask her, and she blushes furiously.

"Yeah it is a bit forward of you....but not in the evening though, I close by 3, how about then?" she says

"That's absolutely fine with me, see you then"

I smile and offer my hand out for a handshake which she quickly accepts. I feel a small wave of energy as I shake her the second time but am unable to identify what it is.

Walking out of the store, realisation hits me. She was being protected, fairy magic was protecting her. That's why I couldn't pinpoint which magical creature she was, but I could smell 4 scents because of how well trained I was in tracking scents.

But why could I smell her fairy scent, probably because it was the strongest, what were her other 3 scents, hopefully she wasn't like me. If she was a werewolf and a vampire as well then that would be a problem

She'd have the most powerful creatures powers at her disposal, and worse she'd be a fairy as well, that sort of combination had never been heard off. Just who were her parents. How could she be a creature with 4 different powers. It was impossible and never heard of.

"How could she be a fairy, fairies stopped dwelling with us 200 years ago" I murmur out

I was beginning to get frustrated. I had to ask someone about this, but asking someone would risk them telling my father out of loyalty. And him finding out that there was a fairy in the land would cause worry.

"UGHH, I already have my hands full with father tasking me to keep an eye on Ancien and his wife" I complain loudly

Then it hits me, Ancien and his wife, I should probably ask them, they'd probably be my best guess at finding out more about fairies without my father finding out.

But first I had a date to get ready for.

Eirene's POV

"I can't believe you knew who he was" I scream at my friend as she walks into the shop

Raelynn laughs at my shocked face as she holds up a bag of fertilizer spray products and drops them on the table

"What do you mean you can't believe, I'm sure I had mentioned that I knew who he was right" she says and I can hear the sarcasm in her voice

"No, you didn't, I was gushing about him for a week and you didn't mention you knew who he was, not once!!!!" I tell her folding my arms and pouting

She walks closer and takes a seat on one of the stools near the counter table and begins to look at me mischievously. "So, did anything happen, did you embarrass yourself, please tell me you were at least able to form a few sentences"

I scoff and throw the rag I was using to clean one of the table at her which she doges and misses. "I don't always freeze up around boys Raeee, and I'd have you know that we're going on a date this afternoon when I close"

She raises an eye and looks at me as if not believing me "Does that mean you gave him your number?"

I look at her confused, "Gave him my number? Why?" I ask and resume cleaning the tables

Raelynn looks at me baffled and slaps her hand over her face "How on earth is he supposed to reach you if he doesn't have your number E-I-R-E-N-E" she says to me

I pause and reason her statement for a moment but shrug and reply "Well I just assumed he'd come back to the flower shop when its time"

Raelynn slaps her face again which makes me chuckle, "Gosh you're such an idiot, what if something comes up and he can't make it, how would you know, what if he came here and you weren't here how'd he reach you, what if-"

"Why wouldn't he meet me here, obviously id wait for like 30 mins and if he doesn't come ill assume something came up, and you know as well I'm too shy to talk to a cute dude, much less someone like him, I can just ask you for his number" I say wiggling my eyebrows at her.

She scoffs and turn her face away, and I'm about to tickle her when I hear the sound of the door opening.

"He's here, wow that was fast, and right on time too" Raelynn says looking at Validus and smirking. I look back at the clock hanging, it's 3 on the dot, he came at exactly 3 on the dot.

"Hi again Eirene, you know just trying to be punctual to make a good first impression, am I here too early?" he asks and I swear I could just drool every time I hear his voice

"Sooo no Hi Raelynn, the person that made it possible for both of you to even meet" Raelynn huffs glaring at both me and Validus

Validus laughs and the sound of his laughter makes me smile. "Hi Raelynn, I didn't expect you to be here, I'm here to take your friend out"

"Like on a date?" she says smirking and I nudge her on the stomach which makes Validus laugh again

"Sorry about her, she's not always like that" I tell him as I remove my flower pin and pick up my phone.

"Can you help me lock up Raelynn please" I beg and she shakes her head clutching to her stomach that I had just punched. "No way not after you punched me"

I sigh, I didn't want to do this but she leaves me no choice. Almost immediately I give her my puppy dog eyes and she falter for a bit, she could never resist my puppy dog eyes

"Okay fine, geez you really need to stop doing that" she says pouting at me and waving her hands for me to go away

I smile and turn to face Validus signaling to him that I'm ready, I notice he's smiling at me as if he had just seen the cutest thing in the world. I'm confused for a moment till I remember I did my puppy dog eyes in front of him.

My face flushes in embarrassment and he chuckles at my being embarrassed.

"So, shall we?" he asks extending out his hand

I shyly nod and grab his hand as we walk out the door

"HAVE FUN BUT NOT TOO MUCH FUN!!" Raelynn calls out as we're outside.

Raelynn looks at the figures of her best friend and her supposed date walking further and further away.

She smiles softly, gets her phone out of her pocket and dials a number

"Hey babe.....yeah I'm here....yeah they've gone...he was on time and everything even held her hand as they walked out it was adorable"

She begins walking around, packing up the things she had bought and shutting down the store whilst on the phone.

But then she abruptly stops and her face becomes sad "I couldn't ask her, I couldn't even bring it up, what if we were wrong and she finds out what I am and never speaks to me again.....I couldn't risk that.....I trust Validus knows what he's doing....I won't talk to her about it until we know for sure"

She sighs and murmurs bye before setting her phone back into her pocket.

She takes one final look around and walks out of the shop locking it with her own key.

She stops and looks at the moon and takes a deep breath

"I hope we still remain friends after this Eirene"

Lilliana's POV

"HOW COULD YOU BE SO STUPID!!!"

I wince a little as Raphael's screams echo around the room. He had just finished giving his cousin at least 50 kicks to his back, repeatedly. He was really mad, I had never seen his this angry, not even the time when our parents announced we'd get married

I look at Jenson whose hands are trembling in fear of his cousin kicking him again. He raises his head up to me as if asking for help, I nod and mouth to him to leave which he does almost immediately

"Raphael, screaming at him won't do any good, he already got into trouble with them, lets just hope he's satisfied by him almost tearing his neck off" I say softly picking up one of the knives laid out on the table and caressing its blades.

They say werewolves mostly relied on their brute strength, but I liked to use a weapon, and knives were my favorite.

"Why isn't she here yet, she said she'd come over after following Validus" he says running his hands through his hair in frustration.

"Why is she following him?" I ask curious

"She thinks he has a thing for the girl, and it's clouding his proper sense of reasoning, just because he didn't want them to report to the Ancient that a fairy was found living among us" he replies sitting down on the chair beside me

I stop caressing the blade of the knife in my hand to look at the hybrid sitting beside me. I hated him, hated the fact that I was wearing his mate mark, hated how he was like me yet not like me at the same time, hated how my parents only paired me to him with the hopes of having a hybrid grandchild, and hated how the only person I ever cared for and loved was no longer at my reach.

"He's not interested in her, she doesn't need to worry" I say dropping the knife back on the table looking away from him

He smirks and grabs my chin bringing it back to face him "Are you jealous that he might've moved on"

I smack his hands away glaring at him, his face makes me want to rip his eyes out with my claws.

"Don't be ridiculous, I already have you as my mate" I say trying my best to give a genuine smile.

He's about to say something but is cut off by the door, as Crystallo and Furta walk in. I shift away from Raphael's side and walk over to my friends

"What's with this tension, did we interrupt something" Crystallo says giving me a teasing look. Raphael scoffs and puts his hands around Furta then looks at me as if daring me to react

Does this guy think I give 2 shits about his interest in Furta?

I smile at him and face Crystallo opening my arms out for a hug which she happily gives. Crystallo was like my sister, she was a few years older then me but we both stopped aging when we were 20 so we took it like we were agemates, she was one of the only genuine friend I had.

"So how did stalking your brother go" I ask her as she disentangles from my embrace. From the corner of my eye I notice Furta and Raphael disappear upstairs but I pretend not to notice and hope Crystallo doesn't seem to notice as well

"Well I got both good news and bad news from the stalking" she says walking to the living room, looking around for a place to sit, then finally sitting

"The good news is that I think I'm improving with my cloaking spell; the bad news is that he asked her out on a date and she could see me" she says getting out her phone then looking around

"She could see you??, even while you were cloaked" I ask in disbelief, was that even possible, it shouldn't be possible, the only way it would be is if she truly was a fairy.

"Yeah, I originally made myself invisible but my brother caught on, so I cloaked myself, they do almost the same thing but cloaking allows you pick who you want and don't want to see you, but then she still saw me either ways, trust me I was very surprised when my brother texted me that she saw me"

Hearing her mention her brother bring my mind back to the fact that he was going on a date

"He really asked her out on a date??" I say sadness evident in my voice. Crystallo recognizing that voice all too well sighs and nods looking at me with pity, other than Raphael she's the only other person that knows about my secret

I don't ponder on her look of pity for long as my nose is suddenly filled with the smell of arousal and sex. They must be having sex, I look over at Crystallo, thankful she's not part werewolf hoping she doesn't smell the heavy arousal coming from her cousin and my supposed mate upstairs. I clench my fist in pain as the mate mark on my neck being to sting

I know he's not my mate, but he marked me already, I know he's part werewolf and part vampire but he should know that what he's doing would hurt me, but then again its Furta he's up there with

Crystallo notices my unease and asks "Does your mark hurt?"

I look at her surprised at her question and she smiles knowingly at me. "Furta told me about it, their relationship. your whole arrangement, she heard her father discussing it with Raphael's father, I'm so sorry, your first mating experience, that must have been painful" she says answering my question

She knows about my situation, does that mean she knows what's going on upstairs

"Since when have you known?"

"Since well today I guess, she told me as we were coming over when I questioned why she insisted on following me, and why she was coming here in the first place, we kind of had a little fight after she told me about it" Crystallo replies raising her sleeve and showing me claw marks

"Oh my gosh, are you okay??"

"I'm fine, I got a few blows on her too, I'm a witch remember" she says smiling proud of herself which makes me smile

"Please don't tell your brother about this"

"Don't worry I won't but I do know what we can do to take your mind of things, lets go ruin my brother date" she says smiling cynically

I think about it for a moment, then nod my head in agreement, I need to have fun, and that sounds like absolute fun to me.

Soo we've now been introduced to Lilliana, her character and her whole storyline is definitely going to be interesting, and she for sure is certainly going to ruffle feathers.
