Validus POV

"Come on pleaseeeeee, just this once agree to hang out with your baby sister, please"

I groan as I fling my sister off my arms and return my attention to the spell book in my hand, I had stolen it from mothers library to practice stronger spells, it was one of her favorites and she was going to have my head if she ever found out I took it

"Sergio and his friends are going to be there, we haven't hung out in like forever, pleaseeee" Crystallo whines loudly.

I finally tear my gaze away from my book at the mention of one of my best friends. Crystallo shuffles closer to me noticing me beginning to change my mind and I pinch my nose bridge.

"Fine Crystallo, but I'm only agreeing to this because Ancien and his wife told me I didn't need to guard them today, and well I've missed that bastard Sergio"

Crystallo screams and hugs me tightly mumbling 'oh my gosh we're going to have so much fun together just like the old times'

"I am not putting spells on people, I can't act recklessly anymore I'm too old for that"
Crystallo rolls her eyes and mimics me which make me lunge a pillow at her.

"Oh please to me you're just an 18 year old boy brother" she says emphatically watching me search through my cupboard looking for what to wear.

"I'm literally a 100 years old in vampire age, you doo know vampires stop aging at a particular age right" I say showing her 2 sweater to pick from but she gives me a thumbs down on both.

"Yeah yeah I know, its got its perks though when it comes to me looking for who to flirt with" Crystallo says picking her nails

"So how many people are going on this fun trip sis, and what human bar are you going to get drunk at" I ask hoping to hear her mention her name I want to hear

"If you're asking about Lilliana she's not coming tonight, her pack is running tonight' Crystallo replies now smiling mischievously at me.

I nod sadly and keep shuffling through my clothes. Behind me I hear Crystallo sigh and get up from my bed. "Don't tell me you still have that stupid crush on her, you know she's mated to her boyfriend right, remember her boyfriend, your friend, get rid of your ridiculous crush brother"

I groan turning to face her then flick her head. "I'm not into Lily anymore, besides I'm happy for that little vampire and his mate" I say avoiding my sisters gaze, she always knew how to read me and always knew when I was lying, guess it's a twin thing.

"I think they're bringing a human with us, Furta didn't say who it'll be with but she said she's cute and could be fun" Crystallo says excitedly.

"If you're thinking about feeding on her then erasing her memories you better don't, dad almost killed us the last time, and why the hell is that trickster coming with us, she's bad news"

"She's our cousin Val, have a little heart, and besides she's the coolest of all of us and you know it--- oh my gosh you doll up nice"

I smile looking at myself in the mirror, I do doll up nice, whenever I wasn't in my princely robes and I needed to dress more human I always had the best outfits

"I can already see you bragging and I didn't even need to read your mind" Crystallo says which catches me off guard.

"Don't tell me you've learnt how to do that sis"
She looks at me baffled and replies "What of course not, I'm not the prodigy witch now am I, besides I heard only 3 people have been able to master mind reading, I'm good but not that good"

I laugh at her, and take one final look at myself in the mirror

"Okayy lets go have some fun!!!!!"

Eirene's POV

I should've expected it from Furta

She told me it was just both of us having fun

But why the hell are there like 20 people here I didn't sign up for 20!!

"I think I'm going to go" I say turning around but Furta holds me back

"Come onnn, this is going to be fun, I just invited a few more of my friends" Furta says looking at me with puppy eyes.

I roll my eyes and mumble annoyed. "How many more are they Furta and better be honest"

Furta remains silent for a while before interlacing our fingers "If I tell you, promise you won't kill me" Furta says soberly

I groan and let go of her hand, I glare at her and walk into the club annoyed at my friend, one for lying to me about Raelynn when she didn't need to, then for bringing me to a stupid club when she knows how much I hate loud noises, and then lying to me again about how many of us were going to hang out

I look around and notice Sergio laughing with a group of guys, his hands patting a guys back. The guy is wearing a denim jacket and jeans and his hair is all styled. His view looks good from the back. Beside him is a girl with a soft looking face, she looks stunning, she's wearing baggy pants and a tight see through long sleeve top. She spots me looking at her, smirks and begins walking towards me

"HEY I LIKE YOUR OUTFIT!!"

"WHAT?!"

"I SAID I LIKE YOUR OUTFIT"

"OH, THANKS I LIKE YOURS TOO"

"I'M CRYSTAL, WHAT'S YOUR NAME?!" she asks stretching out her hand smiling at me

"OH IM EIRENE" I say shaking her hand but she jerks away from me as soon as I touch her hands.

Her look changes from interested to surprised to scared all in a few seconds. I walk closer to her but she flinches and takes a step back which makes me stop. She looks at me for a few more second before bowing and walking away.

"I wonder if I smell bad, I'm sure I freshened up before leaving, or is she gay and thought I was too?!!" I say going back to the bar to take a sit. Not a few minutes later I'm joined by a drunk Furta and Jenson who has his lips on her neck.

"OH MY GOSH, Furta you're wasted' I say trying to get her to sit but she pushes me away and says "Don't beee a buzzkillll Eirene I'm having funnn".
I look at her surprised as she walks away, leaving Jenson with me

'Oh, that's just great, the guy who doesn't understand the word no'

"SOOO, wanna dance with me?" he asks coyly

"Weren't you just kissing my friends neck like moments ago, what makes you think I'd want to dance with you?" I ask bitterly, I'm getting tired and irritated with everything around me

Jenson groans loudly and traps my body between his 2 arms and looks at me intensely. "Jenson get off me" I say trying to escape from him but he grabs my face and brings his lips to my ear

"You know for someone who doesn't know who she's dealing with your kind of being a bitch.....however I wonder what I should do with you" he says gripping my face harder.

I kick his middle, struggle to get free from him and run out of the club almost immediately. I crouch on the floor trying to catch my breath.

"That bastard, what the hell, why are Sergio and Raelynn friends with that dickhead"

I stand up, take one last look at the club and I start walking away. "Furta just ruined my night, I shouldn't have gone out with her in the first place"

My walk home is peaceful and calm, the breeze is hitting me and I feel amazing. But my nice time is cut short when out of nowhere a strong wind current pushes me to the ground.

Fear overtakes me as I look up to see Jenson staring down at me furious. "YOU!!, IM GOING TO MAKE YOU REGRET EVER DOING THAT YOU BITCH!!" he screams at me and before I know it he's choking my neck up against a wall

I try to claw his eyes with my nails to make him stop hurting me but that's when I notice it, his eyes, his eyes are freaking red, like blood red and fangs are coming out of his teeth. What on earth is going on. He snarls at me before lowering his head to my neck. I scream and begin thrashing against him but before he gets closer he's thrown off me and I fall to the ground

A guy is towering over Jenson as he's mumbling, My Lord I didn't mean to, I'm so sorry

'My Lord?? Who is this guy??'

I wrap my fingers around my throat trying to catch my breath but the guy comes in front of me and helps me up. "Tha...k yo..." I tell him and he smiles, his smile is amazing

I look around for Jenson but he's gone, like he just disappeared out of thin air, how fast could he have run away

"Are you okay, he didn't get to hurt you did he?" he asks me softly and I'm mesmerized by the way his voice sounds

He stares at me as if trying to figure something out, and I shyly lower my gaze and nod at his question. I notice he's wearing a denim jacket and jeans.

'Oh my goshh...it's the guy from the bar!'

"You're the guy from the bar right, your sister kind of approached me"

His eyes widen in surprise at the mention of his sister approaching me and I quickly try to explain myself "I...I...I...think she might've been into girls and must've mistaken as someone who's into girls, cause she kind of ran away from, I didn't know if she was like that"

"How do you know she's my sister?" he asks me his eyes never leaving mine

I blush at the focused attention but reply either ways. "You two look alike, like exactly alike, she looks like the girl version of you"

This makes him laugh and again I'm mesmerized again. He stops laughing ad looks back at me, then comes closer to me, he pauses then moves back.

"What are you?" he asks

"Pardon?"

"What are you?, or what's your name?"

"Um well my names Eirene, and I don't know how to answer your first question sorry"

"Why do you have 4 scents??" he asks me almost immediately

I freeze up at the question

"I'm sorry but do I smell bad?" I ask him and he looks at me as if baffled at my question and my eyes widen in realisation

"Oh my gosh I must smell bad, that explains why your sister ran away, I'm so sorry, I didn't think I smelled different, my freshening up must not have been as effective as I was hoping...fuck where's my phone...ahh there it is...thank you so much for helping me...my house isn't far from here now....I'll just...THANK YOU!!" I ramble on and run away from him as fast as I can.

Validus's POV

"What just happened"

I'm standing here confused as to why she suddenly ran away, she thought she smelt bad, she thought I thought she smelt bad when she fucking smelt amazing, there's no way someone as gorgeous as her would smell bad

"Does that mean she doesn't know what scents are?" my sister says suddenly appearing out of air.

I'm startled for a bit and I glare at her for sneaking up on me like that then I look in the direction of where one of the most beautiful girls I have ever met just ran off

"I thought you were messing with me when you said you met someone with 4 scents, but she really does have 4, and most of all one of them is a fairy scent, that's impossible" I say looking at my sister

"That explains the red hair, only Fairy royals have red hair, must be nice for her, having fairy bloodline and not a witch one" she says bitterly

"Hey hey, we aren't going to go on remembering the past now, we need to figure out who she is, figure out why she has 4 scents, and why one of them is Fairy, did you notice her eyes"

"Yes, Validus in the time where I was shocked as to why a supposed human had 4 scents I had the time to look at her eyes" she replies me harshly

"That reminds me, she thought you were into girls and that you left because she wasn't" I say mockingly and Crystallo looks at me mortified

"WHAT!!!! WHY ON EARTH WOULD SHE THINK THAT?!!"

"Beats me" I reply laughing at her

Crystallo groans and hides her face in embarrassment as I continue to mock her and laugh.

She punches my stomach in retaliation and I fall to the ground in pain, which makes her smile satisfactorily.

"What are you going to do about Jenson, he tried to feed of her, if she really does have fairy blood in her she could've killed him and the idiot wouldn't have known"

I grit my teeth at the mention of that imbeciles name, the fool molested her twice and he almost got away with it, if I wasn't keeping an eye on her cause of my sister I would've never seen what the jerk was trying to do in the first place, thinking about it alone was making my skin boil

"Woahhh brother, your eyes, calm down geez"
I shake my head out of my trance and take a deep breath to calm down

"Yeesh you're getting mad over some girl"

"He hit her and tried to touch her, he freaking tried to touch her!, I can't let him get away with this"

"Why do you think he couldn't smell her scent??"

"Not every magical creature has mastered scent like we have Crystallo, but that's no excuse, he's going to pay for trying to touch her" I say furiously and hold out my hands towards Crystallo's

"With the way you're acting one would think you're attracted to her" she says looking at me knowingly

I avoid her gaze as I mumble 'you have no idea how attracted I am' before we disappear in a smoke of air
