"I don't like it, the dress makes me look fat"

"I'm pretty sure the dress looks absolutely beautiful on you Lynnie!!!" Leona enthusiastically replies.

I laugh as Raelynn storms out of the changing room wearing a short tight fitted peach gown.
The gown does look great, but Raelynn is very picky.

"Rene what do you think" Raelynn says now looking at me. I falter for a moment cause of the unexpected attention but I reply "It really does look great Raelynn, Sergio is going to love it"

Sergio was her boyfriend, it was their 6 months anniversary and Sergio promised to take Raelynn somewhere special. Raelynn didn't really like going out unless absolutely necessary, and this was an absolutely necessary solution.

"Well if both of you honestly agree with the dress then ill get it" Raelynn says her eyes roaming around looking for the attendant.

I stand up noticing her eyes and start walking away to the desk where a bell is stationed. I tap it repeatedly hoping it'll grab the attention of any of the attendants which unfortunately doesn't happen.

I sigh and walk back to my group of friends, seeing that Sergio and his two friends Raphael and Jenson have joined them.

'When did they come in? I didn't notice them even passing me'.

One of them walks up to me, a smirk noticeable on his face. I can already guess what he wants.

"Heyyy Rene, you getting anything" Jenson says his fingers reaching out for mine. I shift further away which makes his hands stretched out to mine midair. "No, I only came to give Raelynn fashion advice, which is not necessary any more, so ill be leaving"

I walk towards the sofa where Raelynn's gown is and pick up my purse and phone. "Ill text you guys when I get home okay" I tell Raelynn and Leona giving them a small smile and wave.

As I walk away I hear Jenson saying "what's her deal" followed by a grunt. "Ouch Lynn that hurts, I was only asking". I smile walking further away, Raelynn must've punched him. She's feisty and extraordinarily strong it baffles me sometimes, she's like my best friend.

I remember when we first met, 

(Flashback- About 6 years ago)

I'm walking home and i notice some group of girls picking on her and shoving her, but she wasn't crying surprisingly enough she looked mad. I screamed at them taking their attention away from her signaling her to run, she didn't, instead she shoved the biggest of them to the ground.

My eyes widen as I realize they were all getting ready to hit her. In a second, I ran towards her grabbing her hand and running away from them as fast as I could, and when we finally lost them, I let go.

"Are you crazy, do you know who you pushed, that's Betty, she's a freaking bully, she's sent someone to the hospital before and you shoved her!!!" I scream panting heavily at her, but she just stared.

"Are you okay, why are you just staring" I ask

"You're pretty fast, and I could've taken them, I just couldn't get her to come out"

"Who?"

"Don't worry, I do need to go home now"

"Whoa, you're going back in the direction we were literally running away from, are you crazy"

"I was walking home when they all gathered, and again I can take them, but thanks for helping me though"

"Youre welcome, don't you have a different route you can follow?" I replied looking around

"No, that's the only route I know"

"Okay then im coming with you"

"You don't have to do that, and my mum would kill me if she saw me with strangers or people she doesn't know, I'm Raelynn what's your name?"

"I'm Eirene"

"Irene??"

"No, Eirene, I mean Irene and Eirene do mean the sound the same but mines pronounced Eirene"

"I think ill just call you Rene, sounds good"

"Yeah sounds great"

And after that day, we literally have been inseparable ever since
