A boy was clinging on to his mother crying not ready to leave her.

Mother: Siddharth beta you are getting late for you school. Go now

Sid: No I won't leave you. I don't want to go anywhere away from you

Mother: What is wrong? Why you behaving so oddly bacha? Are you not well? Did someone say something to you at school?

Sid: No I just don't want to leave you

Mother: But it's just a matter of few hours then you will be back. Then we can spend time. Now go. See the time. Your all classmates must have arrived by the time you reach. Teacher will scold you if you don't leave now

Sid: No I just want you

Mother: Sid you are not a small child now. You are in class 9 and soon going in class 10. A grown up boy. What is wrong with you baby?

Sid: I told you I won't leave

Mother: But why? You are behaving same from four days. Is everything alright at school? Should I come to school and check?

Sid: I saw dr...

But he stopped midway. His mother sighed.

Mother: Sid I won't ask you what was your dream. But I told you earlier also right that it might be a coincident. You can't get scared of a dream baby

Sid just got quite.

Mother: Siddharth just go to school now

Sid agreed reluctantly.

Sid: I will go but promise you won't go outside till I come back

His mother just promised him to send him off to school. Sid was really disturbed at school whole time as from last few days. A peon came in class during 6th lecture and called for him.

Peon: Take your bag. Your father is here to pick you

Sid didn't think much and took his bag and left.

Sid: Dad

Ishaan: Ohh Siddharth come beta

Sid: What happened dad? Is everything alright?

Ishaan: Come

Sid tried asking several times but didn't get any answer from him. So he eventually got quite. Ishaan stopped the car in front of a hospital. Sid's heart started beating fastly. Ishaan parked the car. Sid came out and was looking at the hospital building. Ishaan kept a hand on his shoulder.

Ishaan: Come

Sid just followed him.

Ishaan: I know it's very difficult for you Siddharth. But...

Sid: What happened dad?

He asked extremely tensed and ready to break down wishing not what he was thinking. Ishaan took a deep breath.

Ishaan: Siddharth your mother got into major accident today. She was hit by a car and got a very serious injury

Sid was just quitely standing there.

Ishaan: She is inside. She wants to see you one last time. Just go and meet her. She is waiting for you

Sid looked at his father and then towards room he was pointing to. Ishaan kept a hand on his shoulder and pressed it. He opened the door for Sid. Sid walked in slowly and saw his mother lying down on bed. He sat down beside her.

Sid: Mom

She slowly opened her eyes and smiled seeing her. She kept her hand on his cheek and caressed. Sid kept his hand on hers. She slowly closed her eyes with a smile on her face and her hand dropped down.

Bell rang. Sid jerked and looked around to see his class.

Teacher: So class let's call it a day. Do revise today's lecture otherwise no need to come tomorrow

The whole class stood up to greet the teacher. Sid realized he just zoned out. He groaned and kept his head on bench and pulled his hair in frustration. That day also he was aware of what was going to happen but could not do anything.
