Crinis X Dayami - Part of the band
Crinis wiped beads of sweat from his brow as the band finished the song. He smiled from behind his drum set at the millions of fans that filled out the venue and were screaming the bands name with some even screaming his name. "Thank you and goodnight!" The whole band screamed into the mics as the lights turned off and the sounds of everyone running out to catch the band as they leave the venue. Crinis sat back, watching and chuckling until he noticed someone still sitting. The girl had been sitting there during the entire performance. She was wearing sunglasses from what he could tell and once she got up and grabbed a cane, he realised that she was blind and alone. With his large knowledge of a concert, she must have been struggling a lot. He put his drumsticks in his back pocket and brought the attention of the band to the girl who had just about found the doorway.
"Hey!" Crinis yelled out which caused the girl to stop in her tracks and turn to the stage where the sounds had come from. Crinis went past anyone who tried to stop him and he went to the girl, smiling a little even though she couldn't see it. "Are you alright? Do you need some help?" Crinis asked her, able to see her features now that he was up close. She had red rimmed sunglasses and her hair had been half dyed blue. "I should be alright. Thank you. I was just about to go to the meet up. I hope I'm just not too far to be unable to follow the hoards of screaming fans" She said with a giggle. He realised that she probably couldn't tell that he was the drummer. She probably thought he was security. With that though, he felt himself somewhat gleam with happiness but he also wanted to somehow surprise her.
"Well I could get you backstage if you would like. That way you could meet the band and then we could help you out and and get you a taxi" Dayami couldn't help but smile and nod at the idea. "That is very kind of you. Thank you. Would it be too much trouble to ask that you guide me to where i need to go?" She asked, holding her arm out for him to take. He gently took her hand and started to lead the way. With half an hour before the meet and greet, Crinis would have been able to eat and relax for only a few moments. The girl in his arm seemed calm enough to hang out with them, that and she was genuinely blind and wasn't faking for attention. Crinis lead the way backstage to the dressing room that the band had been given. Dayami smiled, able to tell which room she was in though the smell. As she was introduced to each band member, she grew curious as to where the 4th member was. She had learnt the names though the instruments and vocals.
"So that's the guitar, bass and vocalist but what about the drummer?" Dayami asked curiously which is when she felt the one who had been guiding her tense up. She looked at the male beside her and after a few seconds she couldn't help but giggle. "Of course. Your arms are strong enough for a fast drummer but not strong enough to be security. At least from my knowledge" Crinis released how tense he was when he heard her giggle. He helped lead her to a chair and she suddenly found his hair which lead to her gently petting his head. "Thank you so much Crinis for helping me and being so kind to me." They decided it best to offer her some of their take away and for the half hour, they all had an interesting talk with how a blind person saw their music, due to her hearing being somewhat stronger then others.
Once the half hour was up, Crinis instantly felt his heart sink into the floor. He didn't want her to leave. Even though she was younger then he was, she seemed almost wise beyond her years and that interested him. She wasn't just a normal fan. She was intelligent, calm and collected, patient and kind. The band did the best they could to get Dayami an uber which was successful and finally Crinis had to say goodbye. He helped her into the uber and sat her down, putting her walking cane beside her and she smiled widely. "Thank you puppy. You know, because you're almost like a guide dog?" She said, trying to joke about the nickname but it just made him more crazy about her. "Have a safe trip home alright Dayami?" He said, slowly slipping a note into her pocket. Dayami nodded and smiled at Crinis. And with that the uber took off.
Once Dayami got home, she felt her pockets for her keys only to find the note. She blinked a few times before she pulled it out and opened it up. She giggled at the thought that Crinis tried to slip her his number but forgot she was blind until she suddenly felt some bumps on the page. Feeling the page, it did have numbers on it in brail. He looked up how to give her his number in brail. Her heart couldn't help but flutter. No one had ever done something like that. No one had ever gone out of their way just for her and it somewhat made her feel special. She went inside and was sure to put the number down by her phone, wondering when would be the correct time to call him. As Crinis fell asleep that night, he had dreams of Dayami and what could happen if she joined the band with thoughts of a blind girl being a possibly killer vocalist or even just a manager. Either way, he was happy with the dream cause she was there and was with him.
