Saeva woke up early the next morning, forgetting where he was for a moment. After lying in bed for a couple of minutes, he remembered where he was, and what had happened last night. It was either late last night or very early that morning. He'd forgotten to check the chrono to see what time it had been when Jina'tis woke from her nightmare.
Saeva stretched out before he sat up, the bed creaking with every movement. He wouldn't be surprised if the bed actually ended up breaking under his weight. He was 312 pounds, after all. Not because he was overweight, but because his race had far denser bones than humans did.
Once he had sat up, he looked over at Lady Jina'tis. It seemed that she was still asleep. Hopefully no more nightmares plagued her. She needed all the rest she could get, after all. He quietly got to his feet before he looked at the chrono. It read five AM, which surprised him. It wasn't often that he slept in by a half hour. Considering it was usually difficult for him to sleep past four thirty, however, he really needed to go to bed earlier.
He walked over to his bag, picked it up, then walked into the refresher. After going about his morning rituals, he got himself dressed then combed out his hair. He didn't put his Sith robes on yet, as they were in the bedroom, plus he didn't want to wear them yet. He walked back into the bedroom, being as quiet as he could since Jina'tis was asleep, then he set the bag down, sat down on his bed, then grabbed a small dagger that he kept with him. It was once his master's prized dagger, but it became his after he killed his master. He stared at the dagger for awhile before he put it away. However, after he put it away, he began staring at his arm, then he looked at his claws.
Saeva looked up when Jina'tis rolled onto her other side, her face now facing him. After seeing that she was still asleep, however, he looked back at his arm, then he placed his claws on it before dragging them across his red skin. Somehow, he liked the sensation of pain. He also sometimes liked the feeling of warm, thick liquid spilling out of any wound he ever got. After removing his claws, he placed them over the scratches he'd just given himself and dug a little deeper, watching as blood bubbled up and began trickling from his wound, down his arm, then dripped to the floor.
"What in the galaxy are you doing?"
Saeva flinched, startled, then looked behind him to see Jina'tis sitting up in her bed. He glanced at his arm, then shrugged. "I'm scratching my arm." He replied nonchalantly.
Jina'tis raised a brow at him before she got to her feet and stepped a little closer to his bed. "Yes, I can see that, but why?" She then furrowed her brow and added, "You're not suicidal, are you?"
Saeva shook his head. "No, I just like the sensation."
"Of pain?"
"Yes."
Jina'tis blinked, then she shook her head. "Okay." She replied, stretching the word out. "Well, could you inflict pain on yourself quieter next time? The sound of claws tearing skin is annoying."
"You could actually hear it?" Saeva questioned, almost not believing her. How could anyone have ears that good? "I was walking earlier and that didn't seem to wake you."
"The creaking of your bed woke me, actually, though the thumping of your footsteps prevented me from falling asleep again. Had I been asleep, I most likely wouldn't have heard your claws." Jina'tis replied huffily as she grabbed her bag then made her way to the refresher.
Saeva watched her leave in that huffy manner of hers, then he rolled his eyes and was about to continue creating new marks in his skin before he heard Jina'tis yell, "No more scratching! Get your armor and boots on, then we're heading out!". He glared at the refresher door, cleaned up the small amount of blood from his arm, then slipped into his armor before he put his boots on. He then grabbed his cloak and fitted the top ends onto his clasp, clicking it in place, before he grabbed his lightsaber and lanvarok.
Jina'tis walked out just as Saeva was putting his cloak on, then she slipped her boots on before she grabbed both of her lightsabers, then she turned and faced the young Pureblood. "Ready to leave?"
"As ready as I'll ever be." He murmured in reply, looking at her low and short black dress, gray leggings, and the gray tank top she wore under the dress. Her boots went way past her knees, though the gray material clung to her upper thighs, and there was a slit on each side of the dress. He looked away when he realized Jina'tis was glaring at him, though she didn't say anything. Most likely because of the incident from last night when she kept glancing at his abs.
He grabbed the datapad sitting on a table right by the door, then he walked out of the room and waited for Jina'tis to follow him out before he closed and locked the door. Then, he placed the datapad in a pocket before he followed Jina'tis to the lift, then out onto the lower floor, then outside the building.
The two walked back to the ship, grabbed something for breakfast, got some more credits in case they were needed, then Jina'tis grabbed the bugs they needed to plant in some of the Republic buildings area before she and Saeva returned to the area the hotel was at. Once there, they began walking through the large building of the Smuggler's Moon. This side of it was rather dangerous, as there were all sorts of bounty hunters, Sith, smugglers, and druggies, along with reprogrammed droids and malfunctioning droids that would try to kill them. However, she wasn't worried too much about them, and she managed to stay out of their sight. Even Saeva managed to get past them just by doing what Jina'tis told him to do.
Soon, they reached an area where several men from the Republic were gathered, no doubt keeping an eye out for enemy forces. Jina'tis scanned the area, looking for any way in. She didn't sense any Force sensitive beings around, so maybe getting through wouldn't be too much of a challenge.
Saeva walked closer to her, though kept quiet and hidden, then whispered, "Any idea how we're going to get through?"
"You have a lanvarok with you, do you not?"
"Yes."
"Use that. I don't care if the poison makes them pass out or kills them. Just make it possible for us to pass through without us being seen."
Saeva pulled his weapon out and loaded it with the poisonous discs, then he held it up in his left hand before whispering again. "Won't they be searching for us when they notice their men are dead?"
"They will. Which is why we also leave signs that they were killed by Sith. Not only will we plant these bugs, but we will be sure that this Jedi will find us. Killing the Jedi is our main goal, after all." She gestured for him to go ahead and shoot the men, grabbing both of her lightsabers.
Saeva fired the dart at one of the ten men, then he continued firing at each one. Three more went down, but the rest found cover an began firing in the direction the poisonous discs were coming from.
Jina'tis used the Force to leap right into the middle of them, attacking two at the same time. Since they'd been caught off guard, they were easy for her to take down. Two men fired at her, then the other two continued firing in the direction Saeva was. Soon, the large Pureblood put his lanvarok away, grabbed his lightsaber, then rushed into battle, deflecting the blaster bolts.
Jina'tis quickly disposed of the two men firing at her, then looked up just as Saeva finished off the last two. After they'd deactivated their lightsabers, they began walking further into the small little base the Republic troops seemed to have made. They kept close to the areas where no one else was, that way they could get by unseen. Every so often, Jina'tis planted a bug before she continued to walk. "After we finish planting these, we'll head back to Imperial territory another way." She quietly told Saeva.
"That would be best, considering there are bound to be Republic troops, perhaps even Jedi, around the dead men." Saeva replied, using a quiet tone of voice as well.
Jina'tis stopped outside of a building after a moment. This was the one that would be difficult to sneak through. She looked at Saeva before she smirked. "Ready to walk into a swarm of Republic scum?"
Saeva smirked in response. "Oh, definitely ready. This'll be fun." He stepped forward and made his way to the door, then looked over his shoulder at Jina'tis. "Don't worry, I'll make sure they don't hurt you, pipsqueak."
Jina'tis gave him a glare. "Keep making fun of my height, and you'll regret it." She threatened before she walked forward then past him, purposely bumping into him as she walked past and into the building.
Saeva smirked and watched her in amusement. It was easy to ruffle her feathers, it seemed. All one had to do was make fun of her height and imply she couldn't handle herself because she was small. He walked in after her, grasping the hilt of his lightsaber since they very well may need to fight at any moment.
The way to the main room was pretty clear, however. Only a few Republic soldiers had been in the way, but they'd been easy to dispose of. Jina'tis soon got the bugs planted, then the two made their way out of the building and began making their way back into Republic territory. Once they'd made it back, Saeva gave a silent sigh of relief. Things had gone along much more smoothly than he'd imagined they would.
"Well, looks like you can handle yourself pretty well for a female." Saeva commented, resisting the urge to smirk or give an amused or mischievous look. He was hoping to get a reaction out of her again.
Jina'tis stopped right in her tracks and spun around with a glare. "Are you about finished insulting my height and sex?" She snapped. "You've got to be the most annoying male I've ever met! Then again, all men are annoying, mindless idiots who think with their strength rather than their brain."
Saeva frowned. "Now wait a minute, not all of us are idiots." He replied, crossing his arms before he continued walking, passing Jina'tis. He supposed he had that coming, however. He had been being a pain to her on purpose.
"Then why don't you do all males a favor and be the proof that not all men are?" Jina'tis replied as she turned and walked after him, trying to keep up with the tall Pureblood.
Saeva glared at Jina'tis. "So you're calling me an idiot now?"
"Yes, I am. What are you gonna do about it?" Jina'tis questioned in response, looking up at him with a glare of her own. She then looked forward when she saw their ship before she quickened her pace.
Saeva stopped a moment when she asked what he was going to do about him and glared even harder, his eyes flashing a brighter orange as he did so. He clenched a fist so tightly that his talons dug into his skin and drew blood, and he clenched his sharp teeth until he began to get a small headache. After just standing there a moment, he shook his head before he quickly caught up to the elf, having to only take a few long strides to catch up. Dealing with this woman was going to be a pain. But, for some reason, he still found her fiery attitude attractive.
