Personality: Valentina is the exact opposite of shy. She's outgoing and talkative, making sure no one feels left out of the conversation. She'll rarely ever let you see her with a frown of tear on her face, as she strives to make others around her feel good. She does have a bit of a tendency to mistake leadership with being bossy though. But even with the experience of people notifying her of this issue, she can never seem to get rid of it. Being the youngest child, her siblings did get a little bossy sometimes, therefore her response is always, "Well, I learned from the best!" But despite her faults, you can always count on Valentina to brighten your day with a random compliment, or even just a warm smile.

Secret: Valentina was pregnant at the age of 18, but lost the child by miscarriage. No one knew about it but her mother, and she plans to keep it that way, because the baby's father was a rebel.

Thoughts On The Selection: Valentina's pretty excited for it. Although she knows there's a high chance she won't make it with any of the princes, she's just hoping she might make a few friends.

Reason Why They Joined: She wasn't getting anywhere with any of the boys back home (well, they liked her, she just didn't like them), and this selection seemed to be the perfect way to get away from all that.

Backstory: Valentina grew up in a southern Hispanic country, and was one of the highest class families down there. She's the youngest out of 4 and loves her older siblings greatly. She had a fairly regular childhood and against anything her siblings say, she's not the spoiled brat they make her out to be. But if you go back to a few years ago, there's something that wasn't considered normal.

     It was a normal day for 18 year old Valentina, until she bumped into a stranger on the street. A very handsome stranger at that, who just happened to be a year older than her. He was such a gentleman though and soon they began courting in secret, scared of how her parents would react. But that was the least of their worries when Valentina got pregnant.

     She was never reckless like this before, but something about him just made her go crazy. She panicked and went to tell him, only for him to tell her something too. He was a rebel. She had never been more surprised in his life. He told her he had to leave and couldn't stay in this area for long, and when she asked to go with him, he said it was to dangerous.

     So with a final kiss goodbye, he left, and Valentina never told him of his unborn child. She kept the bump of her stomach a secret for as long she could, but her mother soon found out, and although angry, kept it a secret too. Valentina was positive she was going to love this child with all her heart, until something went wrong, and the child was lost.

She went through a secret stage of depression afterwards, but has forced herself to have a better attitude around others, as she saw how much of an impact her mood had on people. Ever since, life has been fairly normal, and Valentina's just hoping it'll stay that way.

Other: She can speak fluent Spanish and hates Hispanic stereotypes (although she grudgingly admits most of them are true).
