New Mother - Kim goes to the DR Universe (⚡+💔+✨)

"Kim!"

Kim heard her friends cry out as she fell backwards through some... Portal of sorts? Colours flashed in her eyes as she fell until... She stopped.

Kim blinked her eyes open and realised she was in... An apartment? Who's house was she in?

"Scott, did you break something again?" She heard a female voice ask.

"Wh- No! I didn't-"

Kim looked up as a ginger, tartan clad boy walked to just a few centimetres in front of her before freezing.

"Uhm... Hi?" Kim blinked.

The boy looked down at her before turning around,"Guys, there's a woman in the fucking kitchen!"

Kim could easily pick out his accent. Scottish?

"Scott, what on earth are you-"

Another person, one with black hair and amber eyes rolled in on a wheelchair.

"Ah, it appears there IS a woman in our kitchen." They nodded,"Stevie!"

"Stevie?" Kim perked up,"How did she get here?"

"What? Why is there a-" Stevie walked in before stopping,"Kim?"

Stevie looked so similar but she was different. Taller. And... And she didn't have her ears and tail.

"You know her?" Jeff asked.

"I think I do." Stevie nodded slowly, helping Kim to her feet.

"You recognize me? Thank goodness." Kim sighed,"Although, I don't think you're my Stevie."

"What?" Scott blinked.

"It's Stevie, trust her process." Jeff grabbed Scott's shirt and wheeled away with him."

"Well Kim, you're right. I'm not your Stevie. I'm from a different universe but... I still remember what's happened everywhere else." Stevie explained,"Don't ask me why, I don't know. It's some phenomenon and-"

"What she means is, we know stuff." Out waltzed Jay, who was just like Stevie.

Kim smiled, she was glad this Jay was alright. Well, not in a giant gemstone.

"Make yourself at home, I guess." Jay shrugged,"Don't mind the mess, it was Scott's fault."

"Don't lie Jay, you were chasing Daiko and fell over."

"Stevie!"

*********************************

Kim was now stood in the hallway. Something around her felt off... Someone needed her help. Who's being sad!?

Kim immediately barged through into Jay's room,"Are you being sad?"

"Fuck-" Jay jumped, dropping something.

"Hm? What's that?" Kim bent down.

It was a photograph. It seemed to be Jay and... Some girl with purple hair.

"Hey, don't touch that!" Jay hissed, swiping it away quickly.

"Was that a friend of yours?" Kim asked calmly.

"More... Than friends." Jay sighed, setting it down on her bed.

"Oh, did something happen to her?" Kim raised a brow.

"She was murdered..." Jay crossed her arms.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't know!" Kim gasped.

"It's fine." Jay shook her head.

Kim rubbed Jay's back. She knew that she didn't like hugs and didn't want to make her more uncomfortable than she already was.

"Thanks Kim." Jay nodded slowly.

Kim just smiled at her before perking up,"Someone needs help."

"What are you, a superhero?" Jay chuckled.

"Yes!" Kim nodded as she ran off and broke Stevie's door down.

Stevie jumped and fell off her bed.

"Stevie, are you sad?"

Stevie, who clearly looked like she'd been crying, shook her head.

"Stevie."

"Maybe.."

Kim sighed and sat beside her, wrapping her arms around Stevie.

"There, there." Kim hummed.

Stevie curled into Kim's arms while clutching an oversized, black hoodie.

"Feel a bit better?" Kim looked down at the smaller girl.

"Mhm." Stevie yawned,"Thanks mum.."

Kim blinked slowly but smiled. It was something about being a stand-in parent for people. It brought her joy.

Kim slowly got up and laid Stevie on her bed before quietly tiptoeing out of the room. That's when she noticed something. Scott?

Scott was in the kitchen on the floor, covering his face with his hands.

"Scott? Are you alright, what happened?" Kim hurried over, soon noticing that Jeff was there too.

"He won't tell me." Jeff sighed,"He's been crying for half and hour and-"

Kim looked at Jeff. They looked absolutely exhausted.

"Go rest, you look like you need it." Kim ordered,"That's not a suggestion, just do it."

Jeff looked like they were about to speak but quietly rolled away towards their room as Kim bent down and kneeled on the floor.

"Scott... Are you going to tell me what's wrong?" Kim asked him.

Scott shook his head, still sobbing. Kim sighed, unsure how to help, so she sat beside him and wrapped her arm around his shoulder.

Soon, Scott learned against her and his breathing slowed.

"I just... I just feel so fucking useless. Aw the time." Scott looked down.

"Why? There's nothing wrong with you." Kim assured him.

"I'm just no as gid as everyin else. Stevie and Jay, they're pretty much in charge. Both of them are so amazing. Then Jeff, they're SO smart! And Akira, she's the best at demolition. Not to mention Daiko, he's funny and Dimitri... He's got points for bein' a reformed villain." Scott hugged himself,"Then me... What do I huv? I'm stupid? I'm Scottish? I'm the butt of the jokes?"

"I don't know you well at all but there's bound to be more to you than that." Kim sighed,"You're only focusing on the negative parts of yourself. There's bound to be something great about you-"

"There isnae." Scott stopped her,"I was made to be this way. The loser. The one who should've died-"

"Don't say that about yourself!" Kim shot up,"Nobody deserves to die-"

"But not everyone deserves tae live, Kim!" Scott snapped, covering his ears,"Why did I huv tae survive? Why not Teri? Or Sancia? Or Crystal and Scorpius?! Why am I still here!?"

Kim sighed as she looked at Scott... This had clearly been bothering him for a long time but he'd never opened up before... Poor thing.

She could see there was really no convincing Scott but she didn't want him to be sat on the cold kitchen floor so slowly but surely, she guided Scott to the couch where he curled up.

"Just let it all out, okay?"

It pained Kim to hear Scott's cries but she felt a sting as two she assumed to be Daiko and Akira walked in and saw what was going on.

"Scott? Are you alright? Are you hurt?" Daiko hurried over to his side and Scott... Clung onto him.

Akira covered her mouth and took Kim's hand with her other hand.

"Akira, right?" Kim looked up at her.

Akira nodded slowly,"Sorry, I just like holding hands it-"

"No, it's fine. My daughter used to love holding hands too." Kim assured her.

Akira smiled and Kim as squeezed her hand as Daiko and the still very upset Scott cuddled on the couch.

"If you don't mind me asking-"

"Where did I get the scars?" Akira finished.

"Yes, sorry, I know you probably get the question a lot but-"

"No, I get it. You're just curious." Akira shook her head,"It was a house fire."

"Oh, I'm just glad you're alright now." Kim let out a sigh.

"Yeah... Some of the newer ones were from when I was out on... Business. There was, uh, a lot of fires." Akira explained.

"I see." Kim nodded slowly,"Well, I think you still look cute."

Both of them then noticed how Scott has stopped crying and how the pair were quite content just curled up with each other.

"Cute." Kim smiled.

"Daiko is ALWAYS complaining about how he wants to date someone." Akira sighed,"Took him long enough."

"Let's leave them be." Kim winked and the pair crept along the corridor as to not disturb them.

"So have you seen everyone?" Akira asked.

"No... I feel like I still need to help one person." Kim sighed,"Dimitri?"

"Good luck, Stevie's the only one that can handle him for a prolonged period of time... And that's saying something." Akira shook her head and pointed to the last door.

Kim cleared her throat before kicking it in.

"Jesus-" Akira blinked.

"My door!" Dimitri pointed.

"Are you sad?" Kim questioned.

"Well, I'm trying to repress my chaotic feelings because last time I let them loose, I trapped a bunch of teenagers in a Killing Game and shrouded the whole world in Despair which all seven of us are still trying to clean up." Dimitri explained nonchalantly.

Kim stood in a stunned silence for god knows, probably a few minutes while Dimitri innocently looked up at her from his bed.

Instead of questioning anything, Kim took a squishy orange out of her pocket and threw it at Dimitri.

"What-"

"That is a stress toy. Use it. Squeeze it." Kim instructed before giving him a brief hug and walking out.

That's when Kim was met with... The same portal as before!

"Goodbye everyone!" Kim called out before jumping through the portal, back to Prophecy and... Well, utter chaos.
