(A/N Was Delta and Malay a thing because I feel like at the very end that sort of happened a little bit?)

Sysinco smirked as the now massive Delta charged at him, his tiny British friend attempting to be a distraction.

Once he was close enough, Delta lunged at Sysinco and they engaged in a more primal battle of slashing and biting until... It stopped.

Sysinco bit down on Delta's neck, and the other dragon struggled in the tight grasp and soon he stopped breathing, stopped moving and fell to the ground, returning to his normal size before he hit the ground.

Everything went... Silent... Only the sound of the wind blowing past those still fighting.

"D-delta?" Vian froze.

Sysinco used a single talon to easily send Vian flying across the battlefield and into a tree,"You are pathetic, all of you."

"Delta, a-are you okay?" Malay hurried over to his side.

"Delta!" Jay flew down to him with Belle.

"Oh no.." Belle shook her head.

The other three watch as Vian ran up to Sysinco, tried attacking him, got flung back and repeat. He was adamant to do some damage but Sysinco honestly found it quite amusing.

"Vian, it's not worth it!" Belle called to him as Malay tried to hide her tears.

"Exactly, you are merely wasting your time. You can't hurt me." Sysinco chuckled.

"Who said I was trying to hurt you?" Vian panted,"I'm merely distracting you from the true threat."

"What-"

Before Sysinco could retaliate, Depth-Stat knocked him to the ground as Sysinca opened up a portal that dragged Sysinco away.

Despite the threat being neutralised, Essence Academy had lost two valuable people that day, Mrs Fellons and Delta, and many others were injured. Would they ever be able to recover from this?
