Alone - If Ray and Stevie met outside of Hope's Peak (⚡+💔+💕)
"And don't come back until you've learned your lesson!"
With that, a bag was thrown in her face and Stevie was left outside as the door of her house slammed in her face. T-that's fine. It's not like she need a house or anything.
Stevie sighed, putting the bag over her shoulders and heading down the street. She needed to get away. Far away. Where nobody can find her.
She checked her watch. 6:32. And it was getting dark. Great. Just great! Stevie needed to find somewhere to sleep for the night.
Her eyes wandered until they caught sight of an alleyway. Perfect. Nope, no safety concerns there. What other option did she have?
Seeing no better options, Stevie walked into the alleyway and hid herself behind some cardboard boxes, setting her bag down.
Her entire body froze as she heard a group of people enter the alleyway.
"An alleyway? Really Boss?" A boy with white hair asked.
"Don't judge him, Al. Maybe he likes alleyways!" Another boy, this one mostly masked and with grey hair.
"Oh, hush. You belong in an alleyway, you creep!" The white-haired boy shoved the other.
"No wonder Boss hates you two-" Yet another boy spoke, this one with black hair.
"Oh my god, shut up!" A fourth boy, presumably the Boss turned to face them,"You are all insufferable! Can we not go on one mission without you acting like-"
"Uh, boss?" The masked boy spoke up.
"What Volcan? What could it possibly be now?"
"There's someone watching us." Volcan pointed straight at Steve.
"Shit-" She muttered under her breath.
Maybe if she covered her eyes, they wouldn't be able to see her. That always works!
"You, uh, realize I can see you, right?" The Boss was now crouched in front of her,"Get up."
Stevie knew this would end badly if she didn't so she did as she was instructed. At least now she could get a clear look at the boys, mainly the boss.
His skin was light brown and his hair with pitch black. One of his eyes was yellow and the other, white. Completely blind. He wore a nice suit, tophat and a monocle. Fancy.
"The hell are you doing in here. Don't you realize it's dangerous?" Boss raised a brow.
"Well, yeah, but I don't have anywhere else at the moment and uh-"
"Aw, Ray, can we keep her?" Volcan ran over and went to hug her.
Stevie flinched.
"Volcan, you can't keep people!" The white-haired boy grabbed him.
"You guys kept me." Volcan rolled his eyes.
"Begrudgingly." Ray sighed,"Besides, you're an employee."
"Fair enough." Volcan sighed.
"Please ignore Volcan, he's not right upstairs. I'm Alfonso, by the way." He bowed slightly, shoving Volcan to the side.
"And my name is Ray." He introduced himself,"Don't think I didn't catch that flinch."
"It wasn't a flinch."
"Yes, it was."
"Why do you care so much, Boss?" The black-haired boy raised a brow.
"Aw, is he catching feelings?" Volcan teased.
"Shut up, you rat! I am not catching feelings for this random person." Ray pointed.
"Stevie."
"Huh?"
"That's my name." She looked to the side.
"Interesting." Ray nodded slowly.
"You never said that about me!" Volcan crossed his arms.
"Because you're not interesting, you're just an asshole." Ray sighed.
"I'd better leave." Stevie went to walk.
"Hang on." Ray grabbed her wrist,"Can I... Can I, uh-"
"He wants your number."
"Stop talking, I'm sure he d-" Alfonso covered Volcan's mouth.
"Actually, he's..." Ray cleared his throat,"Uh, right."
"You want this random girl's number?" Alfonso blinked,"Where's the Ray I used to know?"
"Stop being dramatic, Bat Boy." Ray scowled as Stevie skipped away,"Wait- Huh?"
She had left behind a little, yellow sticky note with her number on it and little stars drawn on it.
"Cute."
"Who are you and what have you done with our Boss?" Alfonso cried.
"Shut up!" Ray snapped, shoving the sticky not in his pocket,"Let's move."
