"You cannot pay for your sins in the light, for the devil has no agents there"

The sun was setting slowly; soon it would be time to make his move once again. The shadows slowly growing and giving him more area to maneuver through the streets. This was his life. Name: Corbin Santineal

Corbin began to make his way through the slowly emptying streets; pulling his hood tighter as he'd go past the occasional patrol of guards. Not tonight, they cannot see him tonight. Many had already fallen to his blade throughout the last week or so; and many were to follow...unless he removed a certain someone. They could not return to the light, another day in the light for this man would bring death to countless innocent people.  Age/Race : 21/ Caucasian

Soon he was within view of his place of business tonight, a large gated manor with private security...and royal guards. The one he hunted tonight was a monster; the worst kind in fact. He was a man in a position of power, and authority in their land. The kind of monster that smiles and waved at you in the day but as the sun sets is committing countless atrocities. A quick glance and you wouldn't even know what they truly were. Personality:/ Quiet and/or reserved though aggressive, over-thinker, redemption seeker, untrusting, loyal when loyalty is earned, task-focused

There is always a purpose for this, that's what he told himself as his blade pulled away from the third guard of the nights throat. These killings are a means to an end; a worthy sacrifice for good. That's what he told himself. Good people have to do bad things sometimes; whether they liked it or not. The scary part was: he was beginning to like it
Likes:/ Being alone, sharpening knives, sunlight, moonlight, being left alone, reading

By now the moon was high in the sky, casting looming shadows on the yard; this was not his concern now. The bodies were hidden, now it was time to get inside. By some stroke of luck, maybe the monster was asleep in bed...though he truly had his doubts. Corbin had been studying this monster for weeks; he knew how they operated. And he knew that they were likely in the cellar right now; so that was his next stop
Dislikes:/ being bothered, rain, daytime storms, book burnings, witch hunts, magic, curses,

Suddenly Corbin froze where he stood; starring at the opened cellar door. As much as he hated it he knew what must be done; shifting stance for just a moment. The cellar smelled of magic; and so did Corbin. The magic below was smelt different than his though, just as dark but...with a tang of cruelty. A moment of silence and mumbling soon had him disappearing seemingly from existence; though he was merely walking among the shadows, heading down...down...down into the dank cellar.  Weapons/ Several daggers, flintlock style pistol, magic runes, piano wire

Eventually the bottom of the cellar came into view; and with another flick of his hand and a few words, Corbin was standing there; starring at the red door in front of him. What couldn't be heard above was loud here: the crack of a whip and the screams and cries of pain. Seems the missus was asleep upstairs after all.
Looks:

Another few steps and he was at the locked door; his eye against the peephole to peer in; knowing damn well what he'd see. Several of the missing folks from down; no older than 16 it seemed, chained to the floor and crimson along their backs. This room also reeked of the mans cruel magic; and it was clear why. Blood of the innocent was being used; and it was this boy was no sinner.

Another short spout of magic and a feeling of dread later; Corbin was standing in the corner of the locked room; this was the only place he could shadow walk to anyway; this man had known he was coming. "Ah; what took you so long assassin? Difficult to traverse my grounds with lanterns about?" The monster had a cruel grin on his face; only shifting the kick one the boy in the stomach "do you even know how much hell I've put this one through waiting for you?" He'd laughed; blood visibly on his chin and his hands

"I don't care about your methods of magic governor"  Corbin said simply; now twirling a blade in his left hand "you should know why I'm here after all...if not well" the blade stopped its twirling and was held at the hilt "you'll learn soon enough"
