Amadi's POV

I was in Japan! I was super excited. I bet I'm going to have the best time- once I learn how to speak japanese that is, hehe.

I come from Benin, which is a country in Africa. My parents moved from there to get a new look for me. I was so excited! I heard the kids here had superpowers. I'd seen on the news. The superheroes, everything seemed so cool! The scenery, the food, the clothes! Everything was awesome!

I was looking around until I saw a girl my age sitting by the grass.

"Hi!" I chirped. She looked at me with a light gasp and smiled. "H-hello..." She said shyly. I beamed. "I'm Amadi!" I exclaimed. She nodded. "I'm Hayami." I flopped beside her and sighed. "So, what's life like in Japan? Do you always eat sushi like in the shows? Do you wear those... um, things you wrap around you, like in the shows? Do you have a quirk?" Amadi asked fast. Hayami shook her head and started answering all her questions.

"But I would like a quirk." Hayami said in her quiet voice.

I nodded. "I want a quirk too." I gasped. "Then we could both be superheroes! How cool would that be?!" Hayami nodded and smiled. "Very cool."

Then, I went home for lunch.

I got to know Hayami more and more as weeks past. She was really shy, but super nice and creative.

My parents and her parents also talk to each other.

I even found out Hayami had a sister! Mio! She's shy, but in a goth kinda way. Like Raven from teen titans go, not like Hayami. Mio was born 1 and half months after Hayami, but Hayami is shyer than Mio.

We've been best friends ever since.

Present Time

Hayami and I were talking on the steps of a pawn shop that no one really went too. But we liked to go there because the owner would always give us cute custard buns with kitty ears. She was the best.

"And, after we become world-renowned heroes, we'll get a super big mansion with our husbands! Of course, it'll be like those houses merged together, with walls to seperate them." I fantasized. Hayami nodded.

Hayami was currently making sakura blossoms appear in her hands, they were overflowing. It was her nervous habit.

"C'mon, stop being like that Hayami! We're gonna- HAYAMI!"

"HUH? Oh, yes Amadi?"

I rolled my eyes at her. "Oh, are you thinking about getting accepted into UA? Of course, we're gonna get accepted into UA!"

"But, what if I don't want to go to UA? My parents didn't. Well, they did to learn to control their quirk, but they didn't become heroes. My mom is a chef and my dad works at a shop." Hayami stated.

I gasped dramatically. "HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT?! We HAVE to become superheroes!"

Hayami groaned. "Fine. But only because being a hero might be fun." She huffed. I giggled.

Chapter 1! Sorry that it's short, I wanna do the next one on a different chapter. I put my other books on hiatus because I don't wanna bite of more then I can chew. I have so many ideas for books, but I keep starting too many and never finishing.
