Her father went off to fight in a war as Meri turned 5. Her mother soon left, after a few years, believing that her father would never return. Meri and her siblings were left to fend for themselves. Her eldest brother, Pine, went to go work so he could support his siblings. Her sister, Katniss, joined a gang for unknown reasons. Meri, left on the street was alone and only with a simple hollow cave as her home. Pine and Katniss are rarely home.. Her only companion and friend who she can talk to... Phantom.
