samantha: doesn't trust anyone. they refuse to rely on anyone else because growing up, she was taught to only rely on herself or lucian, and trusting lucian didn't get them anywhere.

kate: has too much faith in other people, believes that everyone is naturally good and will always choose to do the right thing. if someone hurts her, she will give them so many second chances.

aurora: would do anything for people to think she's pretty. it doesn't matter who you are or how well you know her, she will ruin herself for people to think highly of her.

althea: is so scared of everyone she loves leaving her that she will always try to pull away and leave first before they can. then she ends up alone and falling into self destructive habits.
