((Lily looks like the picture above and this story is entirely in her POV unless stated.))
“Hannah, are-” before I continued, she cut me off.
“You know I'm sure...” the brunette said, sighing. I know she doesn't want this to happen but what is making her do this?
All of a sudden, I saw her eyes turn white as she said, “I need to go now.” With that, she went off to school.
I turn around where Mom was. She was taking me to my new school, LIFE Academy.

“Okay, be safe sweetie,” she said, smiling before it became serious. “... and don't let anyone know, if they do, this school will go into chaos like 17 years ago.”
I nodded, “I know.”
I left with all my luggage to the Dean's office as the letter I had received before told.
The building was large and there was the reception area in the middle. The first door to the left had the sign "Dean's office" written in bold black, hung above.
I knocked and stepped in. I was greeted by a man. He had short, neat, brown hair. A pair of blue headphones with the radioactive symbol on both sides rest on his head. He had brilliant blue eyes and wore a white lab coat and a pair of grey, rubber gloves.
“Ah, you must be a first year,” he said in an obviously fake German accent. He is the dean? Looks more like a mad scientist. “Take a seat.”
“Yeah, I am,” I replied, doing as told.
“You can call me Dean Pe-”
The door bust open and someone strolled in. He had short, brown hair, all in a mess. He wore a dark grey, love sleeved shirt with a crest on the left chest pocket, as well as a darker grey pants and a pair of boots.
“Ah! Slade!” the dean yelled in surprise.
“Uh... Sorry, Professor Petra, ” Slade apologised awkwardly.
“Whatever. Next time, please knock on my door.”
“Yes, Professor.”
“Professor? I thought you we're the dean,” I remarked.
“Yeah, but they are so insistent in calling me their professor! So, please don't call me that,” Petra explained and turned to Slade. “What is it, Slade?”
“Oh yeah, um, I was here to-”
“Ah, yes. That.”
“What do you mean?” I intercepted the two.
“Well, I figured that you'd know that this is no ordinary school. It's a school that teaches students to harness their magical abilities. I had gotten Slade, here, to prepare the testing in my lab. You know, to test what powers the newcomers might have.”
I feel like I have just been paralysed. “T-Test?” I didn't know that that was the case.
“If you are worried, it will be totally painless,” he assured.
“No... it's... Is it possible not to take the test?” I asked, hoping he would say yes. “The whole purpose is to find out what power we have, can I not take it?”
“So you already know what yours are?” Slade asked.
“Yeah.” In a flash of light green light, the green healing runes appeared on the back of both my hands. “See?”
“Oh, then it would be unnecessary to take the test,” Dean Petra said. “Now, I assumed you have to be somewhere?” He looked at Slade. “Like preparing for the classes you'll teach tomorrow?”
“Oh, oh, yeah, I'm gonna go now,” Mr Slade said. “See ya, Professor and...”
“Lily,” I addressed myself.
“Yeah, nice to meet you, then.” He left, rushing out the door.
“Now,” Dean Petra said before looking at me. “I should tell you your assigned dorm, right?” I nodded. “When you exit, you should see some red buildings, the first pair, one at the right. That is the girl's dorm for your year.”
“Then, I should go now?” I asked.
“Yeah, oh, and before I forget.” He passed me a slip of paper which had my school schedule on it. I took my stuff and left.
It had some subjects written on it. The typical ones like Math and English. I'm guessing they are faking that it's a normal school for the first week or so.

On my way, I had a rather unpleasant meeting.
While making me way, I accidentally bumped into someone. The boy had long-ish, black hair with blue tips and... is that wolf ears and a wolf tail? He's right eyes was covered by his hair and he wore black clothes.
“Watch it, dork!” he screamed.
“Hey!” I yelled at the rude boy.
“You've got some nerves talking back...”
“And what will you do?”
The boy growled and a girl shouted, “Stop, Aaron!”
It was two young girls probably a year older than me. The one who shouting had hazelnut eyes and beautiful, long, brown hair. She had three white flowers in her hair. She wore a black crop top and a bright red jacket that extended to almost her knees. She wore short, blue jeans with a belt.
Beside her was a lady who had a similar hairstyle but with a flower headband. She wore a white dress with black buttons. She had baby blue eyes.
“This is none of your damn business, Tori,” Aaron told them.
“Why are you picking on a first year?” Tori asked, looking at Aaron, “Why don't you pick on someone your own size?!” Tori suddenly realised what she just said and corrected herself, “Or just no one.” Aaron chuckled.
“First day and you're already making trouble,” the other girl (she hasn't said her name yet) said.
“Pfft, whatever. I have no time to waste with you guys,” Aaron said. He glared at me before walking away.
I looked at them. They introduced themselves as Tori and Lexi. They also told me more about that jerk.
“Can I meet the rest of your friends?” I asked, interested.
“Sure,” Lexi said. “And just in time they're here.”
I turned around and saw two boys. One of them looked familiar. He had brown hair and like I remember, his eyes and shirt were grey. Wait... wasn't he that boy that was cloned when that Pred guy was about to blow up earth last year?
“Uh, is she fine?” he said, looking at me.
I noticed everyone now looking at me and just replied, “Oh, I just blanked out for a moment. Just thinking.”
“This is Ryan and Matt,” Lexi said. “Matt's off limits if that was what you were thinking.”
“No, no.”
“Well, we need to head to the cafeteria soon, it's getting late and I'm starving!” Matt said overenthusiastically. Should've expected this from a boy who loves food he apparently dreams about it.

I was surprised by how good the food was. Then again, I shouldn't be, it is a school with a crazy large school fee after all. I had a chat with my new friends.
They acted a little strange until I told them what I already knew of the school. They, especially the boys, weren't very good at not looking suspicious.
Tori suggested that I went around the school to meet others in my year, since I obviously won't be in the same class as upperclassmen.
I left a little earlier at 6 to find new friends. Well... it didn't go so well as I don't like to socialise with them, it feels... to awkward and random.
It was nearing 8 pm and the Dean's opening speech thing was coming up soon in the auditorium, I think? I looked around campus and I really don't know where to go. I mean, there are so many buildings everywhere! It's like the whole school is a city!
I scrambled all over the place until I bumped into someone. (I really should look where I'm going.) It was a professor.
“Why aren't you in the auditorium right now?” he asked, peering at me with his luminous, yellow eyes.
“I have no idea where it is,” I answered.
He sighed and just led me there. He told me that Professor Alfred, the second year's professor, and also gave me a lecture about how I should be aware of the locations that are important. He seemed a little scary when we were talking, like one of those super strict teachers, glad I'm not in his class... but Ryan, Matt, Tori and Lexi are.
