Raptor Machina Battle simulation (Non-canon)
(This will be a sort of What-If scenario describing from different POV's of how Raptor Machina may fight and how it might be percieved from an opposing force. It will mostly focus on just the normal military without direct interference from Raptor Machinas own Top Members. The scenarios will often have the enemy have similiar capabilites to Raptor Machina's own equipment to simulate an actual battle/war Also not all available equipment will be used and instead might focus only on some few. Just something made for fun and so I haven't really grammar checked.)
Scenario 1.
Commander -XXXXX- POV:
The war had been going on for a very long time. Longer than even I can remember, longer than some of my soldiers have even been alive. We've fought hard but it hasn't been enough. The enemy has kept throwing bodies at us until they clog up our machinegun ports just so they can advance and now we're down to this front's last fortress. We've been able to hold, for now. But I know if that counterattack the High Commanders are planning doesn't come soon, we'll break. If it were just the usual military trying to storm our castle, I would be confident we could still hold on for a couple months but with the newest reports im starting to doubt. Doubt if we will even last a couple weeks. Those dogs have seemed to finally realize that just throwing regular at our walls aren't enough, so they've called for some nut-crackers. Spy reports indicate that those nut-crackers might just be Raptor Machina. A new, small orginazation that popped up not too long ago but has with blazing speed managed to prove themselves to be a real threat.
*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*
- You may enter.
The door opens quickly as an officer steps into my office. His uniform a little ruffled and his chest heaving from exhaustion. Must've ran here.
- S-sir. The enemy is commencing an assault. And im afraid to report but those reports were true. Elements of Raptor Machina ground forces have been spotted advancing together with the other enemy forces.
- Has the scouts managed to discern their numbers and equipment?
- The numbers are unknown, sir. But they did manage to spot several Tank Armored Core chassis mounted with artillery and siege weapons, alongside what appears to be heavy infantry elements, sir.
Tank Armored Cores. Often heavily armored and these ones have brought siege weaponry. But Raptor Machina can't have deployed that many because of just how recently they managed to reach the level needed to contribute in these kinds of conflicts. So if the enemy forces are relying on them to open up our defences, and with such limited numbers, means those ACs most likely couldn't afford to bring AT weapons.
- Those Tank ACs are exposed against our own anti-tank teams and armor. Deply the remaining tanks and ATGM teams. Get them ready and dug in before they hit us.
- Yes sir! Shall be done!
Just as the officers leaves the office after closing the door the alarms come to life, warning of the upcomming battle and not soon after the walls and roof start to shake as artillery shells start to land. It seems like their ACs are expending their artillery rounds in hope of softening us up before going to range for their siege cannons.
3rd POV:
Outside the wide fortress it's surrounded by long lines of trenches and bunkers meant to repel enemy assaults over no-mans land. Soldiers are rushing to their positions, belts loaded into machineguns, autocannons and missiles are prepared, their bipods hastily set up in the wet mud. A constant humming can be heard through the ground, the sound of heavy tracks and deep mud being displaced to giant machines of war. It appears the newcommers are comming from straight ahead while the normal enemy keeps their distance by the flanks. Tanks from the fortress had not long ago rolled out into their dug in positions after having stayed in the storage bays to preserve them and their ammunition for when needed, and now's the time. The soldiers wait for the assault, the background noise of the enemy vehicle's approach tuned out, leaving a deafening silence and soon, first signs of chaos comes. The enemy they're used come spewing out of their trenches and not far behind them another, unrecognizable one. One clad in dark clothes and full covering helmets but spread amongst them giant people but they seem too mechanical. Perhaps large war suits or small mechs? After what feels like eternity the enemy is within range, and hell's let loose. The machineguns and autocannons open fire, cutting down enemy forces as the approach. The new, small mechs, being CR-027's stop before opening up themselves with their weapons, machineguns and autocannons with the odd few grenade launchers in an effort to suppress the enemy's own machine guns. The tank ACs start to move up now as the first few trenches are suppressed thanks to the small mechs own counter fire. Their siege cannons unfold and assemble before letting of giant shells and explosives upon the various bunkers spread across the enemy's lines, turning them to rubble. The tank ACs are still out of range if the AT crews so they wait.
With the bunkers gone the infantry advance further and their armor follows. When they get into range the AT weapons open fire. The ATGM crews target the Tank ACs with their missiles while the tanks target the small mechs. The Tank ACs take several hits but only one is stopped by getting its tracks blown off but for some reason the rest continue even if they're within enemy firing range without proper self defence weapons. The small mechs take cover for now in whats left of bunkers, in shell craters and large trenches to avoid the tank's fire. The soldiers of the fortress believe the Tank AC crews to be suicidal until something drops from their backs. Something relatively small, a little taller than a man, standing on four skinny legs with a large box on the top. But before they can ponder further on the weird dropped thing and before their infantry can beging shooting at them the small mantis like walkers let out a deafening shriek and with what seems like a flash of lightning the tanks burst into flames, a molten hole having appeared in their frontal armor. Explosions insue as their ammo racks explode from the fire and morale drops in a second after the thunderous destruction. The small mechs from the ones less than 3 meters in height to the taller ones at around meters now advance with the threat of enemy tanks gone and with them the infantry. The fortress' infantry try to open up on the small machines that just speared their tanks with what seemed like lances of light only manage to get a few shots off before they're suppresed by autocannon fire and machineguns. The infantry get cover behind the Tank ACs and start to escort the four legged walkers, calling out targets within the trenches. The walking anti tank weapons open fire, their shots piercing through the ground down into the trenches creating openings and liquidating anyone in the way. The ATGM crews are destroyed by the advancing fire and the trenches overrun as the tracks of the ACs pass over.
Fighting would go on for a few more days within the narrow halls of the fortress but it would soon fall, leaving the battle for the front in favour of the attacker. And Raptor Machina would leave with their pockets filled with cash, troops with vital experience and a good word from their employer to make any future jobs more easily attainable.
