Background info (pt 2)

Copy and paste is bae.

Ok, so I may have forgotten to add a few things, regarding the Elementals...oops.

First of all, you're being warned, I may go into some scientific 'fiction' theory here.

So, if you read the OC character files (and background information) you'll remember that there are currently 3 Elementals I've created, so far I might create more, which is:

Novello Hugo Valentine/Valour = Night/Galaxies & stars a.k.a Night king/King of Darkness

Romeo Daniel Valentine/Valour = Sun/Day a.k.a Sun/Solar King

Rosella Angelique Mystique/Monroe = Moon a.k.a Moon/Lunar Queen

Also, yes I know the sun, stars/galaxies and moon are not actually elements. I am well aware of that, thankyouverymuch.

So, here's the thing...each elemental has the ability to:

a) Travel via their element (Light/Shadow travel) which is much faster (and less trackable) than Apparation or Teleportation (which is the Gifted way to travel and also overrides Hogwarts Anti-Apparation Wards)

b) They can hide themselves from prying eyes with help from their element (If it's the right time of course, regarding Rose and Daniel) that works even better than invisibility.

c) Ok this is going to be where there will be some slight science. They each have their own elemental rose, which they can either grow or make out of pure elemental power.

Below are the elemental roses; how they look like and their abilities/uses.

Sun Rose:

Abilities/uses:

Sun roses are mainly used for healing purposes, but if used incorrectly or too much is used at a time it can be lethal, obviously. (get too close to the actual Sun and you'll end up in ashes, stay too long in the sun and you'll get sunburned and/or suffer from heatstroke, staying in the sun for long periods of time FOR years can cause cancer, etc.) Right, back to the Sun Rose's lethal uses.

The sun rose, if it's in its concentrated liquefied form, can be injected into a person or put into food/drink in huge quantities. I'd say anything over 5ml of the concentrated liquid can let you slowly burn from the inside and if not treated immediately...well you'd die, because your blood, internal organs and skin are slowly being fried from the inside out.

Also also, I kind of made the Sun Rose (and high levels of Daniel's elemental power) a weakness to Hugo and Angelique...in other words: They're allergic to Daniel's potent 'sunny' nature, which can be fatal. Luckily like all elements, there is always *cries* a counterpart/opposite element/antidote for this.

Galaxy?/Star? Rose:

(Just imagine the rose is black instead of blue)

Now, the - fuck it I'm going to call it the Galaxy Rose for now. The Galaxy rose also has healing powers. But in tea form, it is a powerful caffeine-filled drink, but only Gifteds can drink the tea-form rose otherwise...I wouldn't say you'd die, but you'd be in extreme pain. Besides Hugo doesn't share his roses (any part of it) with anyone, and the only Gifted doctor that receives the serum form of the rose is Demitri Diego, who uses the Serum to counteract the negative effects of the Sun Rose on victims of the Sun rose's evil uses (also when Hugo and Angelique gets an allergic reaction). And he only uses the petals (tea form) in the mornings because he's a night owl and usually only stays up during the night, BUT since he's going to Hogwarts and classes are during the DAY...yeah he kinda needs the extra boost. No-one (meaning me) has found a harmful use for the Galaxy Rose, yet (besides the fact if some non-Gifted person drinks the tea form, but again, NOT LETHAL).

Moon Rose:

The Moon rose, same as the Galaxy Rose (& Sun Rose) also has healing properties. Same as the Galaxy Rose, the Moon Rose also can be used as a tea, also highly caffeinated, but has calming effects too, and yes only Gifteds can use the tea form otherwise you'll be in extreme pain, blah, blah, blah. The Moon Rose is also the counterpart to the Sun Rose. Also also, no lethal uses yet. Rosella also doesn't share her roses with other people, not even with Demitri. Besides, as far as everyone knows, Rosella Mystique died 3 thousand years ago during the attack on her and her parents by Felix Diego (currently disowned from the Diego's) and no one realised she was the fated Moon Queen.

Right here is where I'm going to explain the scientific theory part. All elements have a counteractive element to cancel out the other's effects (Water cancels out Fire, Fire cancels out Earth/plants, etc.) Now, this is the theory part; the Moon and Galaxy Rose cancels out any effects of the Sun Rose, BUT the same can be said with the Sun Rose (Sun Rose cancels out Moon & Galaxy Rose if there is ever any harmful uses discovered from them). So a paradox in itself.

So there's a little scientific theory for you.

Also, let me know what Gifted Elementals I should add and who (De Silva, Jason, Lord Valentine, Lord Mystique, Felix, Demitri Diego, etc.) should be an Elemental.

I might start with Chapter 11 tomorrow (a.k.a 24 June), I'll keep you guys posted.

Also, before I forget, for those of you who are curious about how I picked each of my OC's wands here are the deets:

Update on 24 June @ 10:30 - maybe 11:00 am, South African time. *Points downwards*

Hey, I'm back...forgot to add some stuff...again. *Face-palms* Also, created some more Elementals - the basic 4 elements of course - and what they represent. But first, let's start with the stuff I forgot to add...again: Gifted birthmarks.

Ok, if you can remember, I said that there are 4 Gifted Original families; Valentine, Mystique, De Silva and Diego and all future Gifted generations are mostly derived from the De Silva and Diego clans. Each of these 4 families has their own signature birthmark that identifies them as a Valentine, Mystique, etc. These birthmarks are also seen on future generations of Gifteds but looks slightly different.

Gifted Original birthmarks are silver and 'shiny' while Gifted birthmarks (past the 2nd/3rd generation of Originals) are usually black or brown.

Wait before I continue let me set the record straight regarding when the immortality trait stops being passed on. Ok so the first Originals are the 1st generation, the 2nd Gen is the offspring and the 3rd Gen is the offsprings' offspring. So after the 3rd Gen, the immortality trait stops being passed on. So only three generations of the Original families bear the silver birthmark. Afterwards, the mark turns either brown or black and it usually fades when a generation of female Gifteds keep on marrying people outside of the Gifted community. (No I don't think there was a lot of inbreeding, there are 4 Original families, after all, none of them related to each other unless they intermarried, for example, a De Silva male marries a Diego female, but then the child of said married couple would bear the De Silva birthmark instead of the Diego mark. Also, if a male De Silva Original found his 'Flame' (soulmate) in let's say a 'muggle' then the De Silva line still goes on, as the Gifted gene is the dominant gene in this case, where the gene would have been recessive if passed on from the mother, thus making a Half-Gifted. Actually the child would have been Half-Gifted in both cases, but if the Gifted gene was dominant, the child would've become a Gifted, come puberty, whereas the recessive gene would've kept the child a Half-Gifted. (So yes, technically Rosella was born a Half-Gifted, but since her dad was the Gifted (Original) that makes her a 'Pureblood' Gifted Original - and an Elemental at that.)

Also, the birthmarks are usually found in one of two places, depending on gender. On the left side of the chest if you are a male, and on the left side of your lower back (no lower than your hip) if female.

Right, sorry. Here are the birthmarks:

Valentine:

Mystique:

Funny, I used to have a pendant looking almost exactly like this, but I can't seem to find it.

De Silva: (Fun fact: 'Silva' means forest)

Diego:

Now that that bit is over, let's start introducing the new Original Elementals.

Dr Demitri Diego (younger brother of Felix Diego):

Generation: 3rd

Element: Water

Fun fact #2: In some cultures, Water symbolises 'Healing'.

Balter Edwuardo De Silva:

Generation: 3rd

Element: Earth (lol I only did that, cuz his last name means 'forest')

Earth symbolises tranquillity or growth.

Felix Diego (asshole):

Generation: 3rd

Element: Fire

Fire symbolises death and destruction, quite fitting for him actually.

Hermes Jason Valentine/Valour:

Generation: 2nd

Element: Air

Air symbolises Life and new beginnings.

_______________________________________________________________

I'm reconsidering Felix, I might just make Alex's Element Fire and make Felix just a plain Gifted Original. He certainly doesn't deserve a 'king' title and being an Elemental automatically makes him a king which I don't like. Felix is the bad guy, btw.

Also taking a short break to eat something since it's 7 pm now and I've been at this for 2 hours. (almost said straight. Lol)

I'll dive in with the Diegos and De Silvas after I've eaten and then do the Valentines last because there's a lot of Valentines.
