Makoto is 18 years old and a senior along with Aki, Miné, and Jinko. Makoto is a smart young man who is always willing to stand up for his friends and girlfriend. He's always honest to himself and his friends about almost any topic or situation, and he has full faith and trust in his friends that they'll have his back. Makoto lives in an apartment close by to where Haru and Aki live. He and Haru are basically best friends. His father is a top world-class politician, and doesn't appreciate the fact that his son hangs out with 'roughens' let alone dating one. He continuously tries to convince Makoto to stay away from them, but Makoto always convinces his father to leave him and his friends alone by stating the fact that his friends are more of a family to him than his own father ever was. Makoto loves to play strategic games, such as chess, with Aki because of how much of a challenge she is when she's intently focused into the game; but he also loves to play video games as well with the three of them to spend time with his friends. Makoto and Jinko love each other very much, while he looks at Aki, Miné, and the twins like the siblings he never had.
