Bio: Emmalee was taken from her family when she was 4 and she hardly remembered her brother. Slade kidnapped her a trained her to work for him. He said if she didn't, he'd kill her older brother Richard (Robin) and her parents. She had no clue her parents died until she turned 13. 

She always spells her name 'Emily' when it's really 'Emmalee'. After her she found out her parents died, she ran away from Slade. But afterwards, she became a mute. She used sign language after that. Lucky when he Titans found her, Robin could speak sign language. Because of this, Robin is Emily's translator. (there's a word for that I just can't remember). But when they're alone is the only time Emily says anything. 

Emily was still able to act with the Titans but Robin had to translate every hand movement. Slade also gave Emily powers which was another reason she thought she didn't fit in. But this didn't change how much Robin cared about her.
