As I'm sure many of you know, Remus is intellegent, level headed, brave, and very compassionate. He can also see the good in people, and with Penelope, he does just that.
He and Penelope have been friends since she started attending the school, he was one of the first friends she ever made there. She'd drag him into her pranks and problems, and often, she'd get him into trouble. But despite his better judgment, he let her push and pull him around. But Remus is not a pushover, and he can very well stand up for himself if he wants too, but the truth is, he's infatuated with Penelope. He loves her chaotic, wild spirit, and finds it incredibly
Invigorating. As someone who is always studying and keeping to himself, Penelope brings adventure, laughter and thrill into his life. And most importantly, he doesn't feel like a freak around her. He knows she's trouble, and he knows she's a heartbreak waiting to happen, but in all honestly he make excuses for her actions because of how much, and how long he's been in love with her. It's hard to see her getting involved with so many other people, it hurts him, but what hurts him the most is when people mistreat or judge her. Calling her names, spreading rumors behind her back, or intentionally getting her into trouble? He can't stand it. He knows she's asking for it, but he also knows that nobody knows her like he does. They don't know what she's been through or why she acts like this, and despite how good she is at playing it off, they don't know that she actually does care, and she actually does feel pain. That she gets offended. That she cries. Penelope plays it off like she doesn't give a f*ck about anyone, but then she comes crying to him, and ranting to him, and while it hurts him to see her in pain, he loves that she comes to him when she needs help. He loves being her support, even if it means he has to watch from the sidelines.

Cute huh?? We never got to Penelope's perspective on him and stuff, because the chick never answered me back (ahh I'm not salty) but yeh. Cute. Love him.
