Well, Grayson was a hunter until being bitten. Did that stop him? No, but it changed him. Instead of driving stakes, he tried to help his now fellow bloodsuckers have a less violent means of getting blood. So...more of an advice giver than hunter.
But his hunting days are not forgotten and held against him a lot. So, its awkward.
