To have Valor means to have great courage in the face of danger. Her parents named her this with the expectation that she would not be a coward.

The lineage in which Valor comes from is a long one that date back to perhaps the first forming of the Forgottens. They've always been a part of this group, and have become known for being ruthless and hardened near soldiers. Valor is expected to be the same - and she is. A disciplined machine that never steps a paw out of line, and does what is asked of them; many view her as a fitting member of the Forgotten. She does any task given to her and has little faults, though many cats avoid her due to her quiet and often unfeeling disposition.

Valor is a tortoiseshell whose pelt consists of white, black, ginger and brown in various places and pale green-yellow eyes.
ππππππππ πππππππππππ
Valor is a reasonably tall, thick furred feline with a tail that's slim, yet slightly feathery. She has a lean build with slightly broadened shoulders. As a tortoiseshell; Valor's pelt is a unique blend of several colors; black, ginger, brown and white - which is the least apparent. She has pointed ears and yellow-green eyes. She also has several scars from fighting, many of which seem to be on the most vulnerable parts of her body such as her belly and throat.
πππππππ π πππππππ
Valor's most notable features are her scars, as well as the general way in which she carries herself - held high, shoulders squared and eyes emotionless.
πππππ
Valor smells of grass and rain, with a bit of earth mixed in. It's a faint faint and almost underwhelming scent.

Light cannot exist without darkness, and life cannot exist without death. Valor embodies the concept of a darkened soul, a wilted flower that never got the chance to bloom.Β
She is a victim of circumstance, merely the result of the brutality and savagery that makes up the Forgotten. She is cold because it's what was taught to her, and she is harsh because that's how you survive. And she will survive, she refuses to see it any other way. She'll claw down any cat who tries to use her, and lash out at those who try to hurt her. The Forgotten, to her, have no place for the week - and that includes her.
Valor hides her emotions behind a thick, unbreakable wall. Few have seen her without a straight laced, unwavering expression. She's much like a machine, going about life. All brain and logic, no heart or emotion. She hides herself, because being open leads to your ruin - and she knows that better then anyone.
However, no wall is perfect, and small cracks have found its way into her heart that many assume to be an empty void. Valor cares, but hates herself for it. She hates when things bother her, or annoy her. She'd like nothing but to claw out her heart, because any emotion other then blank indifference is lethal. Unfortunately, she's still a cat deep down, and being unfeeling is impossible no matter how hard you try. She views her emotions as an imperfection; like a tree rotting from the inside out.Β
But there's nothing she can do about it; other then to pretend like she doesn't care, and that she's not bothered by anything or anyone. And pretend she does, so much so that she's practically an expert now. She knows how to keep a tight hold on her emotions, to the point where even the most perceptive cat would be unable to tell how she feels. Not that many try, as Valor isn't exactly an enjoyer of conversation.Β
She speaks when spoken to, using few words. Some cats may get a little more, or a little less depending on their relationship with her. But generally she is a loner within the group, who isolates herself due to distrust, keeping nearly everyone at a distance.
Despite that, there are a few cats who she's civil with, and doesn't view as enemies. She's not the most loving and playful cat - far too emotionally constipated for that - but she is less dismissive towards them. Perhaps a touch of neutrality towards them where she typically views others as backstabbers.

Independent, self-reliant, reasonable, meticulous and watchful

Self destructive, closed off, cynical, distrustful, and ruthless

Slight paranoia that stems from her trust issues

Valor sees herself as a good guard within the group. She doesn't tie her self worth to how good she is at her job, but rather to the fact that she's still alive and what she's done. Even though she's relatively lived a mundane life - she doesn't care to reach for more and is satisfied(?) with where she is.
πππππππππ
Great work ethic, can stay awake for long periods of time and obedient
ππππππππππ
Not good at emotionally related things, has trust issues and tends to hold grudges
πππππππ
Valor is a talented fighter, as what is expected of being a guard. Her fighting style is above and beyond - as she was taught to quite literally fight for her life. So she fights like that, and it's a truly feral display.
ππππππ
Swift; she was like the leader to her kits, and her words to them was law. They were expected to listen to her - and be like little soldiers. Imagine a 'kits are to be seen, not heard' kind of mindset for her. Valor didn't have a good relationship with her, as one might expect. Dead. Not playable.
π πππππ
Shard; didn't really have apart in raising his kits - but came by regularly to check on their progress of how strong they were and skilled. Was not afraid to break them down verbally if they weren't up to standards - which was pretty often. Valor disliked him, and always felt uncomfortable in his presence. Dead. Not playable.
ππππππππ
Zeal; a very cunning cat. Under the weight of his parents expectations, a once good and caring brother turned into a bit of a bully - manipulating others to make himself look better, or throw the blame onto them for his wrongdoings. Valor once cared about her brother, until it became obvious that he was playing the role of a caring sibling to potentially use them. That backstabbing is one of the reasons she has trust issues. Dead. Not playable.
[Open to her having one more sibling; any gender! Also open to discussing what their relationship would be like - just ask!]
ππππ
Birch; despite them being mates and having kits together, it was more of an arranged marriage type of deal as Valor's parents believed that it was important that she continue her bloodline by having kits with a respectable tom. Birch was known for his intellect, so it was a good match of brains and brawl. Valor never loved him, she simply had no choice.
πππππ
N/A [open to discuss a potential one though!]
ππππ
[Open! They would be roughly 10-13 moons, as long as they're all the same age ofc. We can also work out potential relationships, though Valor would probably be vv emotionally constipated but still kind of care about them even if she doesn't always show it,.]

> Valor's trust issues stem from her brother, who wanted to 'bond' and took her out hunting with him as a way to do so. Things were going well and they split up, however upon returning to their meeting point - she saw Zeal eating some prey that should've been brought back. Their arguing was loud enough for them to be caught, and they were taken to the leader. It was kind of a spectacle really, where Valor stated her innocence - but Zeal claimed she'd encouraged him to do it and tried to twist everything on her. It led to a physical fight where the winner would be believed and pardoned - however Valor was blinded by anger of his betrayal and killed him. She didn't regret it.
> Following the story mentioned above, Valor also was ridiculed by her parents, who pointed out that it was her own fault that it happened to her. Had she not been so trusting, Zeal would've never taken advantage of her. Because of both these reasons, Valor has some major trust issues.
> Valor never particularly wanted kits, but she never really had an option. Despite that, she doesn't hold it against her kits as they never asked to be born. As such, she doesn't treat them the same way her parents treated her. She tries, but still makes mistakes.
> Aside from killing Zeal, Valor has also killed her mentor; a cat named Butterfly. Despite her unassuming name, she was incredibly harsh and had been selected by her parents in a deal because of that. The day before her assessment, Butterfly straight up told Valor that 'only one of us would be making it out alive' so there would be no surrending. Just death, and Valor managed to win; though sustained great wounds as a result.
