Ferus is mainly a dark brown; with some lighter variation in color on his neck, cheeks and rump. Streaks of cream also color his fur in stripes along his neck, shoulders and legs

Ferus has a lean, muscular frame that is built for speed; thin yet powerful paws made to propel him through the air. Due to extensive and intense training he's all muscle; with a long pointed snout, curved belly and wavy tail. His pelt is short and thick, a chocolate brown that appears almost black. 

He has lighter tones on the back of his neck, cheeks and rump; which look brown with some slight peppering of grey. A bright and sharply contrasting streak of cream makes it way on neck, and upper body where his legs meet his shoulder - and on his flank. He has dark brown eyes; and pointed ears

When people say 'high energy dog', that's him. That's who they're talking about. Ferus is a ball of energy; enthusiastic and willing whenever he's training. He desires, craves even, fun. Something to burn off the steam that makes his mind races and his impulsive actions take hold. He never means to do bad, but bad happens when he's too amped up.

Aside from being energetic, Ferus is also friendly. He can talk a dogs head off for hours, or possibly seconds before he inevitably gets distracted over something or someone. Most would describe him as scatterbrained; but Ferus is more then that. He's a dog who notices everything in quick succession - always alert and mind never ceasing. He's smart, which is particularly evident when he's training; body rigid and tense as he's trained, yet wagging tail evident to his happiness.

Despite his unfortunate past; Ferus is doing better. He's sociable enough to make friends quickly, yet daring and confident to attract attention. He's a leader, someone who doesn't mind taking the plunge and doing things without hesitation.

𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘

Ferus was bred by a good, yet money hungry breeder. He believed the man cared about the animals to some extent as he never abused them and always made sure their needs were met - but pups were quickly sold without prior background checks or discussions.

This, unfortunately, is what happened to Ferus. At the time however, he was named Charcoal due to his dark coloring; and given to a small family of four when only a couple months old. At first he was cool and fun and interesting; but their involvement in his life eventually dwindled to walks, and making sure his food and water bowl was filled.

The quiet, peaceful and lazy life didn't suit his hyperactive breed; and Charcoal grew bored. He grew, destructive. Tearing, ripping and destroying, the once beloved family pet became a nightmare. When they locked things away, he just learned how to open doors and shred things.  Despite feeling guilty, he was also restless.

His humans stopped loving him, and instead looked to get rid of him after a nasty incident involving a whole turkey and the family daughters Christmas tree. He was dumped in a shelter, where his needs were unfit and he got worse and worse.

Eventually, on a stroke of luck, a girl volunteering there took interest in him. And eventually, adopted him; changing his name to Ferus. He wasn't good at first, and made a mess of things. But, understanding his needs, he got better. He got showed love, taken for long walks and had toys and puzzles that worked his brain; and life became better.

He ran agility courses, did protection training, swimming - there was nothing that he wasn't willing to try. Eventually his girl decided to become a member of law enforcement; and he was to be her K-9 partner. Granted he didn't know what it meant, but he loved it. The work was familiar enough where he wasn't afraid, and he was socialized with dogs - making friends and having a good life.

𝐒𝐈𝐑𝐄

Razor - a Belgian Malinois. He was kept in Ferus's original home as a breeder due to his intelligence and good pup production. He doesn't think he ever met his sire, though it's never bothered him.

𝐃𝐀𝐌

Nutmeg - a Belgian Malinois. A dog who was constantly being bred for her pups. He didn't have a relationship with her since she knew he'd be given away, but she wasn't particularly cruel or hateful towards him. Just indifferent.

Ferus has a lot. He can't really recall the ones in his litter since they didn't have names, but he hopes they're doing well in life

𝐄𝐗𝐓𝐑𝐀 𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐎

- Ferus's humans name is Sadie. He absolutely adores her and will act unreasonably goofy to get her attention and affection. Shes never gotten angry at him for being bad,just works with him to get better.

- Despite being a good, Ferus tends to hyper focus during training; where the work is the only thing on his mind

- Ferus can go for hours without being tired, even if he pants up a storm. His energy truly knows no bounds.
