Cade is a fair skinned male with light brown hair and blue eyes. His hair is rather curly, and can be extremely unmanageable - especially in the mornings. He has a mole on the bottom right side of his face, just a bit below his lip

𝐒𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 

A cut on his left hand, between the space on his thumb and pointer. Got it from a stray cat, who did not want to be pet.

𝐒𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓 

Cade smells vaguely of pine sap, mint and vanilla. It's an interesting blend of smells, that is light and not overpowering.

𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘 

At the very core of his being, Cade is a boy who was made to grow up quickly. He exhibits maturity, and a profound lack of enjoyment or the desire to have fun. He thinks it's childish, and will always feel an odd sense of guilt for not doing something more productive; like reading or studying. It's been a fact that's ingrained into his head since he was young, coupled with the idea that any time spent relaxing - is time that others will spend studying, and thus, surpass him. 

A great majority of his life, Cade has been compared to others. Not even people he knows either, just others. Other kids around the world, other children, other sons. He's never been quite enough for the adults in his life. Other sons wouldn't cause so much trouble, other grandchildren would be happy to help their grandparents out, other children would do better. Other children are better. 

So Cade goes, chasing these ideals that no matter what he does, there will always be someone who does it better then he. Rather then encourage him to try, it's made him lack motivation. Why work hard, when others will be ahead of him anyway? In that regard, Cade is one who tends to procrastinate. He gets things done last minute, scrapping together things. It's a bad habit, he knows. And, finally away from his strict way of living, he's trying to change that as to not overwhelm himself - but a tiger does not change it's stripes so easily.

Despite his tendency to procrastinate - Cade doesn't necessarily hate studying. He actually enjoys learning various Magik subjects, and is heavily inspired in some cases to not wait until the last minute to do things. Even after the years he's been attending the Academy, there are still things that surprise him - as he lived a Mundane life for several years, only thinking something was wrong with him when he saw things that others did not. It led to a very lonesome childhood, as he was an only child and was typically an outcast his younger years. He's not the best at talking to others as a result, even if having a close knit group of friends is something he strives to obtain. So, despite being a tad nervous, he tries to be welcoming, but typically falls into the role of a listener then a talker.

He's a quiet fellow, someone whose only had his thoughts to keep him company. Cade is creative and imaginative as a result, and is the kind of person who likes to have a complete plan in action before doing anything. He's the sort of person who has a little schedule book, reminding himself of important things and prefers written or visual instructions when doing things. Freeform assignments are not his favorite as a result, even if he loves being able to take creative liberty as he chooses.

Having a fear of judgement, Cade tends to stick to the background, a soft spoken character who, despite being welcoming and kind, is still a mess. He's a worrywart at heart, and does not love the spotlight. He's been judged before, from test scores to how he does tasks, and the feeling of being scrutinized (and often compared to others) makes him prefer to stick to the middle. No one too noticable, which kind of contradicts his want to make friends. People are scary, even if he knows they probably won't be as harsh as his grandmother was.

𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐓𝐒 

Welcoming, respectful, a good listener, open minded, and mature

𝐍𝐄𝐆𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐓𝐒 

A procrastinator, insecure, a tad socially awkward,  cynical at times and overly critical 

𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄𝐒 

Many things involving Magik, herbal based teas, bird watching, people watching, finishing an assignment, sweets, photography, scrap booking, candles and being able to sleep in late

𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄𝐒 

Potentially disappointing someone, competitive sports/games, cooking, judgmental people, candy that sticks to his teeth, when it's raining yet hot at the same time, days when he has trouble sleeping, the thought of being abandoned, presentation projects, being compared to others and his minds favorite hobby of making him overthink.

𝐁𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐅 𝐇𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘 

Cade grew up living with his maternal grandmother, a women who was strict and often times unforgiving. She wasn't the best person to raise a child honestly, and due to their generational age gap, he didn't have interest in many of the things that she did, which made bonding very difficult. His mother and father left him with her as she was the only relative living a fairly stable life, and they felt as though they were not quite ready to be parents (despite having a baby). They did visit on occasion, but to Cade, they were strangers. People who clearly, loved each other more then they loved him.

Despite agreeing to look after and raise him, it's clear his grandmother wasn't exactly a fan of him. She scolded him relentlessly for minor things, and made him feel bad to be a kid - hence him always being mature and lacking proper childhood. She often told him that she was much too old to be raising a child, so he ought to straighten up or get out and find someone else who would tolerate his nonsense.

Life with his grandmother was not great, and he didn't have much of a support system to fall back on. Making friends was hard, and he felt disconnected to other people. It wasn't until later in life that he discovered Magik, and applied to Caim Academy in the hopes of finally fitting in.

𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐓 𝐅𝐈𝐆𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐒 

Gloria Matthews; his maternal grandmother and the women who raised him for several years. They don't share a very good bond/relationship, and being around her always makes him feel like hrs being watched at all angles, someone readily waiting to point out any and all mistakes

Sydney Haynes; his mother. He doesn't know her very well. But, judging from the way she acts when she does come to visit - he's guessing she's very happy with the life she lives, if not a bit spoiled. She used to baby him when he was younger, but treats him as it he's someone else's kid. Which at this point, he might as well be.

Alexander Haynes; his father. An adventurous man who has enjoyed traveling the world and obviously forgetting that he has a son. At the very least, he does acknowledge Cade as his kid, but tends to push his own interests onto him, as though shared dna means they share every single interest.

- Cade likes animals, and really wants one. Unfortunately, he's never gotten around to getting one. 

- Unlike many people, Cade isn't stop scared of bugs or creepy crawlies. He's the guy people go to if there's a bug and they want it gone, because he'll do it.

- He CANNOT accept compliments. Like at all. They make him feel weird and he makes it weird by being awkward about it. He still likes them though.

- His ultimate goal is the teenage dream of having many friends and doing fun things with them before his youth runs out. Unfortunately he's scared to talk to people and also feels bad whenever he enjoys himself so the jury is out on this one

- He kind of has a mean face going on, as his default setting is very neutral. So he just looks a little blank. He secretly practices looking more welcoming in the mirror sometimes, tis a secret he'll never tell
