Backstory: Jewel has always been the popular girl, beloved by all, and never has any enemies. That's mainly because of her powers of manipulation through her song. Despite popular beliefs, Jewel isn't actually a bad person and hates using her talents to manipulate people.

Her mother, the mayor of Monsterville, practically forces her daughter to "make friends" by using her voice. As she says that it looks good for the family and of course, that's exactly what she does.

However, after meeting Amber chuckles and learning that her magic doesn't work on the clown, Jewel realizes that Amber truly wants to be here friend. But because of her mom she doesn't let the friendshioe happen and she just bullies the girl and tricks her into being her little minion.

After Amber finally stands up to her that's when Jewel admits her faults and explains how she never went to hurt anyone and only did it for her family.

Now, Jewel is her own person as she was able to find true friends in the Monster Squad. She was also able to learn how to control her voice and the effects it has on others.

Depending on the tone of her voice and the type of melody, she can make people react in different ways. Like helping people fall in love for example.
