Venus is a fire cracker. Literally. Their powers gifted by Casita is to mold and conjure flames, so she has a very spunky and powerful attitude about them. Because of their powers, however, Venus knows the rest of her family fears her, even if they don't show it. Abuela has essentially made Venus an outcast due to her unpredictable nature, and there's a flickering flame in their stomach that's getting ready to ignite. Venus doesn't like being treated differently, so the fact that their family doesn't even keep them at the same level as the other kids makes Venus angry.
