Personality: Castello comes off as a cocky playboy, which is indeed true in most parts. But doesn't mean he is a fool, even if he doesn't take his job seriously. Doesn't mean he will always have such a cavalier attitude when someone poses a threat or slights him or his sister.. or in the rare case he does take his job seriously, to which if it is any of those things. They will come to know how cunning of a person he is, as trying to figure out what he is planning is difficult. Especially since he speaks in double meanings, not in a fun way. As one will make you question if he is okay with you or if he wants to skin you alive. To which he is sadistic enough for such a thing, but pairing his sadistic nature with a dash of creativity... one would rather wish to die a quick death. So aside from mind games to keep people on their toes, he also looks for loopholes in deals or agreements. Even if he honors his own words and won't go against them, doesn't mean he won't find a way to screw someone over or make them pay... though some would question why they would even follow him, it's because he is someone who is willing to get his own hands dirty and even lead by example. Pairing it off with his sense of generosity and care for his people is enough to make many of them stay loyal to him. Not out of fear, although some are scared of him. But because staying on his side guarantees an easy life... now when it comes to immediate family, meaning his sister. He cares deeply for her and even will drop the whole cocky playboy act, as he respects her enough to do so, along with even confiding in her. But doesn't mean he isn't dotting brother to her, since she is his little sister and willing to help her with anything. No matter how crazy the idea might be or how dangerous, since he trusts in her abilities to make it out safe. Background: The position of power Castello obtained was never meant for him. But rather his father Alessandro, but to explain why Castello took the position instead of his father. We have to go back a bit

Back then, Alessandro wasn't affiliated with the Mafia or, more precisely, the Barone crime family, nor did he have his two children. Castello and Isabella, yet either, instead he was an ordinary person trying to make a living with his best friend and roommate, Vittorio.. but the adult life was rather brutal, as they tried to make ends meet. But most jobs didn't wanna hire them, and even if they did. They would find an excuse to fire them as well, to which the both them were struggling for a long time. Until Vittorio started bringing in cash, which Alessandro found suspicious... after the truth came out, Vittorio was now affiliated with the mob. He didn't snitch on him and didn't abandon him either. Instead, he joined to make sure his friend stayed alive through this new life.. through their experiences, their friendship evolved into a brotherhood between. As they pressed on with this new life, making a living and even climbing up the ladder to become the most trusted of the Don. During that time, Alessandro was in a relationship with Vittorio's sister and eventually got married to her, cementing himself further as a brother to him... so far everything was looking up, he had a high position in the mob family, married and has kids of his own.. but he noticed Age was catching up to the old Don, what made the situation nerve-wracking. Was that the Don's son in law has no plans to take over and that his grandson Laurent was prohibited from being part of the mob life... which left an empty space for a successor, which many wanted to fill that roll. But ultimately, the Don had to settle between Vittorio and Alessandro, which the rest of the family was in uproar about it, mainly the old guard. Since they believed neither of them deserve the positionas Don, especially Alessandro since wasn't a traditionalist at heart... but ultimately, the Don chose Alessandro to take over upon his passing, as he sees that he would lead them the family to the future with his newer ideas and methods.. but none of that would come through, as upon the Don's passing. Alessandro couldn't claim his new position as head of the family, as him and his wife killed in an assassination. But it wasn't just them that fell victim to an assassination plot, but Vittorio's wife as well. Though he was the real target, he avoided that fate he would have shared with his wife unintentionally... but now, seeing as how things were unsafe, so he fled with his only son Lorenzo and his niece Isabella along with his nephew Castello and went into hiding

As time passed, the crime family was completely broken apart and fighting amongst themselves. Along with even being picked off by other crime families, to which Castello beared witness to remnants of the family searching for his uncle Vittorior... and to his surprise, they swore fealty to his uncle in hopes of rebuilding the family. Though hesitant, his uncle reluctantly accepted... but what came next, his uncle didn't expect. As Castello, Lorenzo, and Isabella wanted help up round up the others and strengthen their new growing family, his uncle reluctantly also accepted. Knowing full well, they would have done so without his permission, overtime the new family was growing well and good. But regretfully, his uncle passed away from leukemia, but not before leaving a letter behind. Informing Castello that it was his birthright to take over the family since it was his father who was chosen to take charge in the first place. Therfore Castello took it upon himself to lead the new family with the aid of his cousin and sister by his side, to reclaim what was lost and destroy the old family that caused this mess in the first place.. to which, with some struggle, they were making that goal a reality, with the combined wits of his cousin and himself. Along with his sister's fearsome reputation, they were near the finsih line.. but the final push would have numerous casualties, thus, without consulting his cousin. He broke one of the traditions of getting outside assistance in the form of mercenaries, but he made the right call to do so. As there were far fewer losses than he predicted, but his actions had left the new family divided. As some of them wish to keep traditions and not break them like Castello did, even Lorenzo was on their side. But simmered them down believing this was a one thing, but he was wrong. As Castello not only formed a partnership with the mercenaries but even threw away several traditions... to prevent infighting, Lorenzo took half of the family that were on his side, while Castello kept the remaining half the supported his new ideals. Causing a great split between the family, while Castello took one part of territory. And Lorenzo took another and has been at odds with each other since then, but even after all of that.
