Looks: He has obsidian black hair and bright silver eyes that shine like the moon, he also has a purple and black kimono and wears a cross necklace and has a crescent moon tattoo on his right shoulder. He also has a hood he keeps over his face since most might not trust a demon slayer who looks like a foreigner.

Techniques: Masters them all and is trying to create a new technique

Trivia: When in pain he screams in English pretty quickly. He trains with his masters old sword too hopefully get stronger. He has a low alcohol tolerance and hates the taste. Nero sometimes gets called Mero and is nicknamed Lovey which pisses him off as the words pronounced are close together.

Backstory: He was born to a family of rich missionaries from America. They wanted perfection and Nero wasn't it. His hair and eyes weren't what they looked like and he supposedly seemed cursed. Nero was abandoned then as a child as they threw him out not wanting a supposedly cursed child into their home. So he had to steal and cheat to get his way and he did. Many thought of him as a foreigner freak so he had no trouble stealing and taking from them. It wasn't until he almost stole from a blind man. The man knew the breathe of the moon and saved Nero from being killed by demons. He was confused why he would do such a thing and the man said that he merely wants to help Nero and sees good in him. Later Nero is asked to stay and be taught the breathe of the moon. He decided to do it since he could get food and a place to live. Over the training and years he grew close to the man and even called him his father. He left on his fifteenth birthday to take the exam to become a demon slayer. He passed and ran home quickly and was excited. Until he saw what was happening and came across his father fighting the upper demon moon. He watched as the demon knew the technique and Nero was only paralyzed with fear. The upper demon moon slashed him across the chest. Nero couldn't do anything since he was paralyzed with fear and his father tried to defend him. He blocked it but soon started to die from it. The moon then put some of his demon blood into the man and he started to slowly become a demon. The demon that was once his father now started to attack and fight. But with what little sanity he had he begged Nero to kill him. He couldn't and said it was because he loved him too much. The man told him that if he didn't he would never forgive Nero and spend the rest of his existence in suffering. Nero with tears in his eyes readied his blade as he stabbed the neck and felt hands on the blade helping him to guide it. "At least I was able to see my son. At least once." He says with a sad smile and guided the blade so that it cut off his neck. Nero then decided to never allow someone to have such a hellish experience and promise to vanquish every demon he comes across.

Other: His hair is in the same style of his former master to honor him.

Moon Breathing Techniques:
First Form: Dark Moon - Evening Palace: Nero draws his sword and slashes swiftly in a single motion; like with all Moon Breathing techniques, numerous chaotic crescent blades originate from the slash. This technique is reminiscent of Iaijutsu.

Second Form: Pearl Flowers Moongazing: Nero performs several slashes that defend him from incoming attacks while also creating a barrage of crescent blades.

Third Form: Loathsome Moon - Chains: Nero swings his sword rapidly in two gigantic crescent slashes, from which a storm of smaller crescents spread. This technique causes huge destruction in a small area.

Fifth Form: Moon Spirit Calamitous Eddy: Nero makes multiple curved slashes layered over one another, resembling a rising vortex. Sanemi Shinazugawa noted that Kokushibo performed this attack without swinging his blade.

Sixth Form: Perpetual Night, Lonely Moon - Incessant: Kokushibo releases a wild barrage of crescent-shaped slashes in front of him.

Seventh Form: Mirror of Misfortune - Moonlit: Nero swings his sword in a powerful frontal slash that then creates a multi-directional frontal assault, powerful enough to create several deep gouges in the ground and push back two Hashira.

Eighth Form: Moon-Dragon Ringtail: Nero triples the range of his normal attack radius and creates a singular gigantic slash that slowly decreases in size.

Ninth Form: Waning Moonswaths: Kokushibo creates a seemingly endless stream of claw-like vertical and horizontal slashes, capable of cutting down his intended target from a long range.

Tenth Form: Drilling Slashes - Moon Through Bamboo Leaves: Kokushibo creates a triple-layered slash twister, capable of mowing down his targets into three clean pieces

Fourteenth Form: Catastrophe - Tenman Crescent Moon: One of the Moon Breathing's most powerful techniques. An advanced and more powerful version of Kokushibo's Fifth Form. He swings his sword and creates a chaotic vortex of powerful omni-directional slashes that destroys whatever is caught up within its attack radius.

Sixteenth Form: Moonbow - Half Moon: Possibly the Moon Breathing's most powerful technique. Nero creates a barrage of downward crescent slashes, resulting in a powerful sixfold slash crashing down on his opponents; the attack itself is powerful enough to create several miniature craters where the slashes have landed. As this technique is so wide-ranged, it is able to easily surround and overwhelm multiple enemies at once.
