Backstory:

Apocalypse was previously known as a living raptor named Cyan. However to explain how he got back into a time long after the dinosaurs, there has to be some explaining. Thousands and thousands of years before the humans finally had enough technology to leave the Earth. With it they left a lot of damage behind. The moon is gone and a whole chunk of the planet is missing. The remaining cats their, with their extreme intelligence dominated the Earth. However the planet got worse quickly, using left behind human technology the cats left all the other animals. Once they left their was no one to contain the dangerous human toxins. Once the chemicals were released some species of dinosaurs made a comeback, including the raptors. This is where Cyan came about. However later on in the struggle of post-apocalypse life a extremely dangerous substance was released. Because of Cyan's carelessness he was the first to die after the substance was released. It made him alive again, but as half-zombie. Seeing the others learn from his mistake the animals had joined as one and were now thriving. This was frustrating to him as he never met another one of his half-zombie kind. However Cyan, who is now renamed Apocalypse never gave up hope and keeps roaming the ruined lands in search for another like him.
