Elijah is a very dramatic man, appearing to be very cheery. His behaviour gives off the impression that he wants to entertain and that he's joyous, however this is far from the case. More often that not, Elijah uses this behaviour in lieu of his lacking emotions. It's very difficult for him to feel anything towards anyone or anything, often feeling empty and apathetic, and doesn't like that fact. There's only been one occasion where he has felt upset towards something, which has led into guilt with the following years after the event that took place. In spite of that, he treats everything with a light heart, though will sometimes resort to intimidation tactics and malicious behaviours in the name of a job.

-Backstory-

Elijah is a self-described street-rat, having lived on his own in alleys for as long as he can remember. He's certain there must have been a point where someone had cared for him, since he obviously wouldn't be able to take care of himself incredibly young, but he has no recollection of such carers. Often times Elijah would sleep in a box and he very quickly got into crime, stealing food and clothes to take care of himself. Naturally he was poor at this first and people would ultimately give him things out of pity when they saw his age, but he became quite proficient at sneaking about and stealing.
At thirteen, Elijah joined a gang and, as a result, got his first tattoo - the one on his arm- as a sign he was a part of the gang. This gave him the opportunity to make money to better support himself and more people to interact with, which helped him gain an understanding of what was socially acceptable and what wasn't (he never necessarily did what was socially acceptable afterwards, but he was able to use that information when he needed to act proper). Soon he started to attend school, but very rarely - his total count for lessons he has attended is a little over on hundred in his lifetime. This is where he made friends with Marcus and Andrew, a pair of twins. He found himself spending a lot of time around the two, to the point where the parents of Marcus and Andrew insisted on adopting Elijah after learning he slept on the streets. Although Elijah didn't want to, he ultimately agreed.
After turning eighteen, he took on more violent crimes in the gang and left about half way through into being eighteen to take on solo jobs. He continued taking on violent crimes and generally distanced himself from the Williams family, with the exception of Marcus and most particularly Andrew.
When he was twenty, he received a job to kill Andrew. Andrew was a year older and was in a gang as well, but for different reasons . After being friends with Elijah for a while, he ended up in a different gang when he was young. As opposed to using the gang for his own benefit, he would often use any earnings from the gang for those who needed it more. He was in the middle of robbing a warehouse when Elijah showed up and he allowed his death to come, under the condition that Elijah never killed or hurt people again. He complied.
Marcus was the only person that Elijah had ever informed about the murder and, despite Marcus holding a deep hate for Elijah after the event, Marcus finds himself unable to shut the man out of his life; Marcus often lets Elijah hang around him under the belief he's doing what his brother would have wanted. Since the murder, Elijah has never killed or physically injured another person, though still engages in criminal activity.
